Praia Joaquina is a wide and beautiful beach on the east side of Santa Catarina Island. It's perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and picnic lunches. The sand is white and the water is shallow, making it very safe for children. There are also plenty of vendors who sell food and drinks, making it a great place to spend a day.

It’s ok. Actually a very busy beach so if you’re into that then it might be the right place for you. What’s great is the dunes sitting in the background. If you climb up you’ll get a very picturesque view of the beach! Also the rocks on the left side of the beach is a cool spot to check out !
Nice beach with breathtaking views, clear and clean water but it has big waves (perfect for surfers) anyway you can get into the water with extreme caution (I wouldn’t recommend it for children).
Joaquina Beach was one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen it in Florianópolis! The sea was at the best temperature, with perfect waves, and the colour of the water was unbelievable! The coolest part was the excellent restaurants around serving the best drinks in the sandy or the restaurant! You won't regret visiting! Don't forget your sun protector!

People are very nice and the beach is beautiful. Water is clean but sometimes the waves are strong. Plenty of gift shops and a few places to eat. You can enjoy and relax here for hours and not notice how long it's been.

Spacious beach with amazing views. The only downside was that it was very windy, and the water was cold.
Neighborhood of Selina Florianopolis just across the street. It's a decent beach with space. Small, nothing particularly special about it. It's like season right now so maybe there will be more activity during high season which I hear starts in November and December. It's an okay but not absolutely must see beach. Clean though.
Absolutely splendid place! I spent my honeymoon there and I had the best time of my life. Lots of activities, super chill vibe and safe. You can go scuba diving on the little island in the horizon I've met so many nice people there and there's a big lgbt and hippie community, which is where the fun is at. No matter how you look like, you'll feel included. There's also professional surfers and fishermen as well , all sorts of cool people. Let's not forget how AMAZING the fish is at the little food place on the beach Absolutely recommend it

Beautiful beach, I’ve been here multiple times - as all beaches in Florianopolis it is always windy! I have been to this beach maybe 10 times and there was one occasion where it wasn’t windy. With that being said the trails and vibe of the beach really do make it special - it’s quite a gypsy beach (if you like that kind of thing) and there is always waves so for surfing it’s good (swimming not so much)

Beautiful beautiful beautiful beach. Superb views when you are in the blue bridge looking down. A cute giant turtle 🐢 statue that is actually life size they can be 4x the size of a human being. Lots of rocks and activities happening in ybjd town, come here to watch dor an hour and walk or relax for a couple.

It is a complete stunning adventure to go to the edges of the beach, this is one of the largest on the island, highly recomended.
From the beaches in Florianópolis, this is surely the most commercial one, it has nothing special and pales in a comparison with its neighbors, especially Santinho.

Most of the beaches look the same but worth the visit. There are free buses on sat and sun but expect 2-3hrs bus rides. You are better off going on weekdays and pay 6 reals for 2 rides within 2-3 hrs. It allows you to see 2 beaches per ticket. You need to get a bus pass I believe. Follow my other beach reviews for more tips!

I rested here in June, when there is almost no one on the beach and I felt very good here. I enjoyed beautiful sunsets and fresh air every day.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would ⭐️ I can’t even begin to express how much I love this place soooo much. The oysters are absolutely phenomenal — both the natural/fresh ones and the ones with toppings. Cooked perfectly. We also ordered some octopus, fish, and my favorite moqueca. They 💯 know how to cook their seafood to the perfect temperature where it melts in your mouth. So tender. The moqueca, which I am picky about because having lived in Bahia for a year, I know how the best tastes like and so far outside of Bahia they have lived up to the flavors. On top of having ridiculously delicious food, their staff are just THE BEST. Impeccable, high quality service right here. They know they get so busy as lines can go as far as having to wait over an hour for a table… but they never lower the quality of their service. Extremely attentive and best of all, extremely friendly and playful. It’s a whole package experience in here, you guys. You just can’t replace the experience here. I had a blast dining here and I will never forget it. Highly recommended. Don’t just come for the food, come for the experience 🥰 SHOUTOUT TO THE BEST — Maneca!!!
A must have dining experience. The dress code for the waiters is all white navy. They have a section which extends into the water - beautiful ambience and views. If you get there early - say right when they open at noon till about 1 pm, you could get a seating there without a reservation. They do have an English menu - if you so desire. Highly recommend.
I wasn't impressed and won't be back. The food was very bland. We ordered oysters and a bacon wrapped prawn with sugar cane sauce as an appetizer. After eating the appetizers we decided not to order anything else and go to Porto do Contrato down the street.
A good option if you are on this area. Good portions with plenty of seafood dishes to share. Family and tourist ambient.
Definitely a place to check out in Florianopolis, with a unique location and the possibility to taste oysters that have been recently fished right beside. Wine choice also very well fits the concept. Prices are definitely not high for a place like this!
Fantastic food! Amazing fresh oysters! Great view. Even for my vegetarian husband there was a delicious dish.

The Guacamole Cocina Mexicana Mexcian restaurant in Florianopolis offers a traditional Mexican meal with great gasronomy as well as a themed decor. The atmosphere is very alive and the waiters are often wearing cowboy hats and playing Mexican music live. As for the cardapio, it features nachos, tacos, quesadillas, burritos and guacamole.

We stopped by to grab some margaritas and a taco on our way to watch the sunset. The drinks and tacos were alright BUT the “Al Pastor” tacos were ABSOLUTELY NOT LIKE THE REAL “AL PASTOR TACOS” - these ones did not have any pineapple even if it was written on the menu that they should. The cooks had their own version of the “Al pastor taco” with some lettuce and pico de gallo - it was good but wouldn’t call it Al pastor ;)
This place is something else! On Mondays and Tuesdays you can experience an „all you can eat“ menu with high quality authentic Mexican food. The ambience is really nice and the service is really good. Especially Dieguito one of our waiters was really nice and attentive. I genuinely recommend this place!
What a disaster! The food was disgusting, packed with sugar, yes in the quesadilla with meat there was tons of sugar. There was nothing Mexican about it or the burritos my friend ordered. Also nothing Mexican about the screaming band and super loud music... The interior is like a mini Disneyland serving all the typical clichés of Mexico... But neither the bad music nor the overwhelming decoration could distract from one of the worst food I have ever had in Brazil. Stay away and don't believe any of the good reviews here. There is only one truth in this case.
A very alive place to be. Mexican musicians are really the attraction of the place. They charge a cover of 15 reais per person.
Fun mexican restaurant featuring live performances (with mariachis and all). Good for large groups, with big, roud tables and dishes for sharing. Also, they have tablets for ordering without human contact, great for the socially awkward.

Awesome food. Good costumer service. Long waiting time and unfortunately they aren't prepared to handle large groups of people. Tables are only for 6 counting children. So, if you are celebrating your birthday you won't be able to sit with your beloved ones at the same table, like me. In another places the tables are larger and you can accommodate more than 6 people easily.

The seafood restaurant Restaurante O Timoneiro is highly rated by TripAdvisor users in the city of Florianopolis and I decided to check it out. The restaurant is located on the Barra da Lagoa, one of the high points of the place, and some tables are situated on a deck looking over the Lagoon of Conceicao. This allows customers to enjoy a beautiful view while enjoying excellent food at Restaurante O Timoneiro.

Atmosphere it's beautiful, they have indoors tables as outdoor and next to the water tables too, the service as always in Brazil it's super kind and nice, and the food a bit pricey but super worth it, delicious and BIG plates, to share i got the salmon and i ask for half portion bc otherwise will be too much. If u want get yourself a treat you should come.
staffs can speak English! It is very rare to see at brazil local restaurant. They are kind amd food was nice as well. but, you should go inside to park your car until you can see this restaurant. there's a another popular restaurant next to this.
The location is nice, tables inside and out. Parking is easy and the staff is ample, friendly and efficient. They also seem to speak a little English, although I do speak Portuguese. Unfortunately, like a lot of places in the Praia Mole area the food wasn’t very good. We ordered the chef’s special povo. It was cooked uneven, very dry tentacles, but the body was OK, a bit chewy. Just no flavor to speak of, and it was very, very salty. It’s an order for two, we didn’t finish half. Served with a generic bowl of white rice, no beans, and some soggy boiled veggies. Potatoes were pretty good, and you get a lot of them. Won’t return

Nice ambiente and good service. The staff is very welcoming. The burgers were good but not outstanding considering the price and size. The drinks are overpriced as well, especially the Moskau Mule (it was extremely small, just a bit bigger than a shot glass).
Steak was top quality, very rare to find such quality meat in Florianópolis. The veggie burgers also tasted amazing. Portion size was at least above average. Wine selection was very good as well! And lastly, Marcos' service was great. Only thing to keep in mind is prices are a bit steep. Overall a great experience, will be coming back :)

Tasmanian chicken was very tasty. The Filet Mignon was good, cooked exactly as requested. The fish cake balls were dull almost tasteless hence the 4 rather 5 states for food. They have an innovative method of ordering using the tablet and a QR code. The waiter will explain. We sat outside and enjoyed the variety of passers by on the Beira Mar. No English here, but learn a little Portuguese and you will do fine.
