Nice fort to visit when in Dubrovnik. The entrance is included when you pay for the wall walk. The fort was used many time in the firing of Game of Thrones and can be spotted often in the TV series. On a good day you can see for miles from the top and it is probably the best place to view the old city walls from.

The fort is really beautiful, it has old time charms and game of thrones vibes. The view from every corner is breathtaking. We went in summer when it was very hot and crowded so couldn't stay here for longer but definitely a must visit place for anyone who goes to Dubrovnik.

The fort has fantastic views of the Adriatic sea and of Dubrovnik old Town. The entry to this fort is covered in Dubrovnik card as well as the wall ticket. If you are doing a GOT tour then they will bring you here.

Perfect spot to see most of Dubrovnik and the walls of the old Town. You must have the city pass entrance ticket (150Kn pp) but it is worth it for what you get access to. There is a fair amount of stair climbing but nothing too strenuous. Probably the best place in Dubrovnik for views.

Pretty cool fortress, get free entry with the city walk ticket so why not go check it out. It’s alright, can spend a bit of time here and there’s lots of steps. Beautiful views of the old town from here, the views are worth it alone.

Entering the walls is something that is definitely worth a lot. The views are BEAUTIFUL, the sea, the walls, the vegetation... Basically a perfect combination. Also if you are a student (and bring a student card) the entrance is only €5 so it is very cheap. Whether you are a fan of the Game of Thrones or not, it is an experience that you can't miss.

A fantastic fortress, located in a beautiful city, on one of the most beautiful seas. The driveway itself is unreal. You will have the opportunity to sit in the cafe garden right on the coast, enjoy the unique view, before or after visiting the fortress itself. It may not be wise to go with small children, but they will enjoy it too, if you can be sure that it is safe for them.

Cash only, 40hrk entrance or Dubrovnik pass. They close at 14:00 during winter. It’s a beautiful place, definitely worth a visit, you only need approx 30min for it. They have gorgeous jewelry on display.

Not the biggest exhibition, but also far from being expensive. Allows us to see glimpses into life behind monastery walls, as well treasures of church. It was interesting to see a rich history of pharmacy in Dubrovnik.

1 of the 3 oldest pharmacies is located here. Beautiful court garden in an impressive old building. Outside you can still see the shrapnel holes in the church building originating from the 1991 Yugoslavian war...

A peaceful oasis in the centre of the old Dubrovnik walled town. (Very close to Pila gate entrance) If you have a Dubrovnik pass , it is free , if not also very less for tickets. (Think 4 euros or so) Beautiful paintings, artefacts and a bit of history . Verdict: Must visit! Won't take longer than an hour and a bit to finish tour.

My top choice palace/museum in Dubrovnik. Today the Gothic- Renaissance Palace had been turned into the Cultural History Museum with artfully restored rooms, portraits, coats of arms and coins. Beautiful interior with finely carved capitals on the exterior columns and the ornate staircase in the atrium.

Nice museum in an old Dubrovnik palace. Plenty to see about the history of the city and how it worked centuries ago, laws, politics, prison cells etc. Upstairs there are objects and paintings from the period. Plus (in Sept 2022) an exhibition of excellent photos from the Serbian bombing in 1991, very sad and evocative. Good labelling in English, and there's a free app too. Make sure you get a Dubrovnik Pass (this site is included) or else you'll be paying over the odds on your ticket.

Here is located the Kulturno-povijesni / Cultural-Historical Musem. Interesting museum but it's lacking history. Go first to Konavle Heritage Museum. The stuff is rube.

Visited here using the Dubrovnik Pass (300 KN for 3 day pass) Excellent place to visit with many very interesting exhibits including the dungeon and many art works. Also lots of interesting artefacts and accounts of the history of Dubrovnik, in particular the photography exhibition of the 1990’s war period. The building itself is also stunning, beautiful ceilings and architecture with lovely views of the bustling city outside.

Architecture, modern art and great location for museum in the beautiful part of the city. Although there is not so many pieces of sculptures you can see I must say that for me museum is a hidden place behind sculptures you must see if you want to know what Dubrovnik was and is now City, Republic or something more and unique !

This was a lovely respite during a beautiful day in Dubrovnik. You can buy a pass to this museum that also gets you entry to others in town. I would recommend checking this out! It is small no need to be here for more than 1 hour!

The museum has both indoor and outdoor exhibition from mainly Croatian artists. Some statues are exhibited on the balcony where you can look at the old city from different perspective.

A great museum and entrance fee is included in the Dubrovnik Pass 🙂 The museum building is stunning and was not too busy as other museums in Dubrovnik. Great location for museum in the beautiful part of the city, short walk from the Old Town and on the way to the museum you have a stunning view of the Walls and beach.

Rather small contemporary art collection spread over three floors. A beautiful building and the view from outside balcony is spectacular. The sculptures on the terrace are pretty amazing. Buy a Dubrovnik pass to visit for free. Lack of a map or a guide hence only 3 stars..

As emotive and good quality the photos are, I feel the way the venue is set up could be better in order to really get the stories across and really pull you in a bit more. There is an app you can use to give yourself a self guided tour but I don't think this is conducive to a fully immersive experience. I recommend giving yourself enough time to browse in here as there is a huge volume of content.

very informative and well organized. i wish the captions were given right under or next to the photos though, because it gets a bit park in some spots of the exhibition room, making it difficult to read from catalog. the last section about wars from many other parts of the world could be better organized chronologically.

Very large gallery, which affects and excites. Talk about the wars of Yemen, Yugoslavia and Kosovo. The museum is easily accessible: it is located in the street next to the entrance to the walls and is well signposted. Absolutely worth a visit!

I hated it but I think that's what you're supposed feel after seeing this. Just one thing.... I'd like to see more local photography than international. But I'd highly recommend this.

Incredibly good photo gallery - a must visit. Powerful and moving, the mantra that a picture tells the story of a thousand words couldn't be more relevant.

On the one hand it’s a great selection of war photos, on the most important subject, and a good source of reflection on what happened in former Yugoslavia and what has been going on in Ukraine for almost ten years now. On the other hand, it’s pricey, and and obvious cash grab on the war that went over Dubrovnik three decades ago. I didn’t like some chaos in the exhibition e.g. photos from Vukovar siege of 1991 in Bosnian war 1993 section. I think that despite declarations the role of Croats in this war was not fully explained.

Powerful, striking photography. This is quite a disturbing and difficult experience. The civil war photographs are particularly striking because of the recency if the conflict. It made me think that the children in the war scene photographs were probably amongst the people in the streets outside. So, it is a shocking but important reminder of war. The closeness of the war images of the civil war make the other photographs from conflicts around the world much more harrowing than they might be if you encountered them in a different context. The photographs of child soldiers in Africa and the photographs of refugees in Myanmar are particularly emotive. The dramatic and thought provoking nature of the exhibition content make the quality of the photography seem secondary but that is just a reflection of the photographers' skills. The photography is quite brilliant and there are some compositions which are stunning in their technical genius. This is an exhibition which should not be missed for so many reasons. It is probably too harrowing for younger children but, apart from the quality of the photography, it is a powerful and evocative use of art.

A sobering but necessary part of any visit to Dubrovnik. As the name of the museum suggests, this is a museum exhibiting war photography from some of the world’s most fearless war photographers. Downstairs are revolving exhibitions, and upstairs there’s a permanent collection which displays images from the Balkan conflicts of the 1990s. Though the images are harrowing, this is a visceral and challenging way to learn more about the Balkan conflicts, and discover the human tragedy behind news headlines. I thoroughly recommend stopping by.

Sobering experience that should not be missed. The selection of photos from the Jugoslavian war, Ukraine and various other conflicts. A good level of detail provided on each photo and should be taken in and absorbed in order to get the full effect.

Located down a narrow side street in the Old Town, this is a very informative and moving exhibition of war photos. The permanent exhibition is about the various Balkan conflicts and at the moment (May 2023) there is also a temporary exhibition about the war in Ukraine. Loan guidebooks are available that explain the photographs. There is also a voucher on their website for a 10% discount off the admission charge. Note that they do not have any toilet facilities.

Very moving and informative museum. Definitely worth a visit. The photographs are so honest, it was very emotional to see many of them. I found the Ukrainian war photos particularly poignant.

It's not easy to write a review of a museum dedicated to such a difficult topic as war. However, we found that the museum managed it really well - no belittling, but also no unnecessary emotional overload. The basement contains photos from the war in Ukraine, the upper level is dedicated to the violent end of Yugoslavia in the 1990s. The pictures do not hide any of the horrors of war and were very moving. It is so important to remind everyone that despite all different viewpoints and beliefs there are no winners in war. Just desolation and pain.

We had one of our best meals here in Dubrovnik. If you are a meat lover just do not look any further, this is your place. We took the Ghengis Khan platter and the meats were not only cooked to perfection but tasted amazing. Service is just top notch. I highly recommend booking them ahead of time over email. They have both outdoor and indoor sitting area depending on your preference. Highly recommend if you are in Dubrovnik.

Wanted to try Bosnian food and the introduction to it was a very memorable one thanks to this restaurant. The service was really good, and the food was delicious. My half and half had traditional sausages and skewers. The meat was succulent and flavourful, and cooked to perfection. The beer was very good as well. Friends got a risotto and the other one got the liver which he devoured. The interior decor was really unique! Would definitely recommend the half and half

We'd never had Bosnian food before and much of it was very tasty, but they did a poor job on the Bosnian salad. However, they didn't charge for it and gave us a free dessert and coffee which was excellent. So I'd recommend the baklava. The on street tables weren't at all spacious and the offset to the next table didn't help lots. Sadly, this place seems to be favoured by heavy smokers, which means it's not that enjoyable at times.

Don’t get confused with name it’s not Indian restaurant it’s a Bosnian restaurant. We ordered roasted tomato soup which was yummy. Main course: Chicken kebab, fish veal kebab and they were good. Drinks: orange vine which is good to taste. Overall the food was good but I find it overpriced.

Outstanding food with nice and helpful service! We couldn't quite decide between a few dishes and the waiter helped us decide with good descriptions and hints. They were even kind enough to put two dishes on the same big platter for us to share. Excellent flavor and lots to choose from.

We had a lovely dinner here, food was excellent. They have many traditional Bosnian dishes we have never heard of. Would really recommend the hot appetizer with cornmeal. Also great baklava. They have many vegetarian dishes but it was a but complicated with vegan. I asked for vegan options - the only vegan things was the red lentil soup (very good) and they veganized the vegetable kebab (it normally has butter). Nice staff, good service. We waited quite a long time for the main course. The space is very stylish.

Everything was excellent. Great service, fantastic house Bosnian wine. My husband had the mixed meat platter, and everything was seasoned and grilled nicely. I had the burek cigars, and they were quite tasty. You must try the chocolate hazelnut baklava. Divine. Bread was just okay. I had so much good bread in Bosnia, I had high expectations for the bread here, but everything else else was phenomenal. Nice ambiance as well.

Beautiful Michelin Bib rated restaurant in the heart of old town. Delicious Bosnian cuisine. Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious. I highly recommend skipping the tourist trap restaurants and go for this one. The patio is very lively but the interior is equally beautiful. No need for reservations but a handful of items have to be ordered the day before due to their traditional preparation method, so I highly recommend checking out the menu online the day before and if something gets your attention, place an order. However there's plenty of other savory dishes to order. Everything we had was amazing. Hoping to go back soon.

Today we tried and had a very good experience with a traditional food of Bosnia cuisine at Taj Mahal restaurant. I ordered a traditional dish with 2 choices. The beef was very tender, sweet and tasty. I enjoyed my dish a lot. My husband loved to eat his fresh salad. I highly recommend this restaurant in Old Town. An adress that you "must try" when you come to visit Old Town. 👍

You will need to look hard to find this place, but your search will be worthwhile. Flavors are awesome. Wait staff was extremely helpful and friendly. English spoken. Setting was relaxed and highly enjoyable. Indoor and outdoor seating. Everything was very exceedingly clean, including the restrooms.

So many interesting dishes, many of which I saw firsthand on my trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina earlier today. I tried the veal pasta dish, feta salad, mint iced tea and sweet apple dessert. Everything was incredible. Great service and kind staff, as well.

My first foray into Bosnian cuisine at Taj Mahal Old Town did not disappoint. The Chicken Kabobs were a delightful symphony of tenderness and rich flavor. As for the Shish Lamb, the taste was simply exquisite. If you're wandering around Old Town and are in the mood to venture into new culinary territories, make sure to drop by this gem.

A delicious culinary experience! We had originally made a reservation walking through old town and then realized some of their meals required an advanced order so we cancelled & reserved for the next day — be sure to check their menu! We ordered the Bosnian Pot which was just delicious, along with a selection of 2 traditional dishes, the Cevap (slow cooked beef) and tomato meatballs. The waiter suggested pita bread to go with our meal which was the perfect vehicle to soak up all the juice & flavours. Service was fantastic and attentive. Definitely worth visiting and the hype.

Really big pizza on a nice patio setting. Could have easily split the pizza for two but if you’re really hungry, grab one for yourself and a small box to go. Service was really good and even on a hot day sitting under the shade here was nice. Definitely stop by while you’re exploring the sights around here!

Food came really fast so that was great. I think the drinks are little bit pricey (14€ for one) and didn’t taste that good - we had to change one of them and our waitress was really kind and did that for as for free. Food was a little bit bland but for Croatia still pretty good. Pizza was quite good

Theres absolutely not a single reason for us to come back here, the food is awful, they said their best at pizza, but i cant imagine q good pizza based on how bad the “specials” were.. also the ambient is flat, and we paid 120eur for 3 mains and 2 starters.. Greek salad wasn’t greek at all.. prawn and chicken curry makes you wonder if you’re being pranked… Not recommending this at all! Who ever is rating this place high probably has no experience. Harsh but true.

Very good pizza. Friendly staff. Be careful to choose correct side of the street. We almost sat at “Bona Fide” which looks more like a Mexican theme. It may be a good restaurant but we were specifically looking for Mea Culpa. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Amazing anchovy pizza and caprese salad. Pizza was out of this world. Washed down with 2 beers each. Setting is lovely and romantic down a narrow cobbled street. I would also add the interior (although only walked through to use to toilets) was so clean and tidy we were impressed. Service quick and friendly - couldn’t ask for more

Mea Culpa is a Pizzeria and Pasta restaurant located in the old town of Dubrovnik. They have plenty of outdoor seating with heating options (it's still chilly in mid April for outdoor dinners). The service was quick and friendly. We called for a glass of wine each (passable), shared a bruchetta, and for mains ordered a pizza and a pasta. The food was okay (nothing to rave about). The portion sizes were good. The pricing is in line with what you find in the old town (i.e., on the expensive side)

I had the Mea Culpa pizza (minus the olives) and the ginger mojito. Both were fantastic, the pizza was large enough to take away and have the rest for lunch the next day. Service was brilliant, only wish I knew about the Dubrovnik card discount!

A very special restaurant in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik. Went on a few occasions firstly for coffee then for lunch and dinner. Pizza in particular was authentic and very tasty. Special thanks to Stef who welcomed us and provided top class service.

I’m surprised at all the amazing reviews as sadly I wasn’t blown away. Firstly I thought it was expensive, £40 for two mains and two small drinks. Would have been happier with the price if the food was amazing but instead it was pretty forgettable. The setting was nice though and the service was really good.

Had a really lovely time here and the food was absolutely delicious! Portions are a bit on the smaller side for a big guy like my partner, but was filling enough for me. Fish was very fresh and tasty and the wine as well. Super busy, but moves very fast so you can easily find a table even as a walk in. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Prices are also very reasonable. Would highly recommend!

We have breakfast and dinner there. We order omelette as breakfast served with bread which the portion is big and two of us shared. The coffee is delicious and you can have a really good Seaview. The staff is friendly and service is good. That's why we come back for dinner. We ordered seafood risotto and tagliatelle and mussels. They are so delicious and definitely will come back next time.

Overall: good but expensive. Total paid: 119€ We got the tomato soup, the sea bass with mushroom as a side dish, beef with mashed potatoes on the side. We also got white wine, I believe Pinot Grigio. The tomato soup was perfect. There was no need to add salt or paper for my taste. The sea bass was good but very small portion. Definitely smaller than other pictures here. The mushroom were okay. Needed more salt. Didn’t really taste special. The beef good but again nothing special. The mashed potatoes were really good. It has some cheese in it and it has the right amount of butter. The service was great. The staff was nice and always checked up on our table. The overall atmosphere for dinner was great as well.

This restaurant was one of the best that we have visited during our European trip. The venue, staff and food are all fantastic and there is an amazing view overlooking the old city walls. We had the Salmon and Chefs steak dish, both cooked to perfection. We went back the next day for the assorted seafood platter and pizza and again, loved it! House white and red wines are also great. We were lucky enough to get a table both times without a reservation, however in high season you should book ahead and request a table near the water for amazing views.

The food was delicious to say the least. The views were amazing, and the service was great! The employees were very friendly and attentive. We went for dinner the first time, and we had: - Seafood risotto for starter (delicious) - spaghetti bolognese - grilled beefsteak with grilled veggies - chef’s beefsteak with gratinated potatoes - Dubrovnik creme caramel for dessert (delicious!) Everything was so good, we went the next day and had breakfast: - ham and cheese omelette - mozzarella and tomatoes omelette - iced coffee Definitely recommend eating here if you’re not on a budget. Don’t expect low prices, as you are paying for quality food :)

What a delightful restaurant! The view is beautiful and the service is fantastic - a special thank you to Ivan K for looking after me so well. Ideal for solo travellers like myself and also for couples and families. I wad recommended a delicious wine to go with my meal and was looked after really well. The food was stunning. I have received a 10% discount card to come again so I suppose that will be the primary reason to return to Dubrovnik! Thank you for a lovely lunch. I can't wait to come again.

Lovely restaurant with great food and friendly staff. It's in the perfect location just outside of the Old Town overlooking the sea. It's always very busy here, but even if you haven't booked a table, the staff always try their best to find you a table. I had the virgin mojito to drink which was great. Then I had the Chicken Milanese for mains and it was very tasty. You also get discount on your bill if you have the Dubrovnik Pass.

This place is a must go! The view, ambiance & service were all beautiful. Would recommend making a reservation for dinner if you’d like to sit on the patio (you’ll need to specify if you’d like patio seating). The truffle ravioli was incredible, seafood was fresh & you can’t go wrong with the cheesecake dessert! An absolute must if you’re in Dubrovnik!

Had a really lovely time here and the food was absolutely delicious! We had seafood tagliatelle and risotto, also seafood salad, well made. The seafood was very fresh. However, portions are a bit on the smaller side for us. We ordered two daily cakes: chocolate&orange cake and apple pie. The location is perfect, just next to the entrance of the city wall with a great view of Adriatic Sea. Walk-in was fine at 6 pm, but if you want to sit next to the fence, you should make a reservation a week before. Super busy, but moves very fast, staff is also very friendly and attentive. Prices are fair compared to other restaurants with such a good view. Highly recommend!

We went here for the breakfast in the morning around 9, it was not crowded and we easily got a table with sea and fort view which was amazing. Great location and great food. We loved everything here. The service was very nice, we couldn't finish the fruits so thay packed it for us nicely. It's a nice place to sit and relax and have your breakfast. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

I love a surprise. Perhaps with the exception on a first date, or most birthday presents. In fact, I guess I don't really like them much. But this place is by the bus stop and smells of tourist trap, from the stiff waiters outfits, all the way down to the service style which is about half as old as the fort city itself. Thing is, all the food is really good. And the veg sides are the best in town. Service is trés bistro manic, and the prices high, but not enough to give pain where pleasure is deserved.

It truly is the best view with very good service and tasty selections. We had grilled squid and sea bass, well made. We had less than an hour for our bus and they were very accommodating. The location is perfect too for the entrance to the old city, the beach or the tower.

Gorgeous views of the Dubrovnik old town walls. The entire setting is extremely pleasant on an outdoor terrace with the sea breeze and fans overhead for additional cooling. The food was enjoyable, we tried the Dalmatian steak which was a thin cutlet and a very strong garlic flavoring, I can still taste it the next day if you know what I mean. We also tried the fish soup which was light but pleasant and the truffle ravioli. A cherry brandy for an aperitif was fun and the local red wine carafe was admirable for the occasion. Light, fruity, and with decent acidity. Overall it was a good experience, it felt kind of touristy, but what can one expect in this city.

I admit that this place is located in the most touristic area but they got great food, friendly staff(they were kind enough to give us a fancy decanting performance when we ordered a humble regional wine 😂. We felt very well-treated and loved it so much) and wouldn’t even charge you much. On the top of that, the scenery from this place is (personally) unbeatable though the pigeons and bees can be annoying sometimes. 😂 I made my greatest memories from Dubrovnik here.

Definitely a must-visit when in Dubrovnik, it was the most wonderful restaurant with a great view. We booked months in advance (as recommended) and we were given the most amazing table, right on the edge. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The food was amazing and all together a great experience. In combination with the cable car ride it was expensive but we expected that and it was definitely worth it.

We had the most amazing meal with a fantastic view. The restaurant did mix our order up and delivered one meal to the wrong table. However they were very honest and the manager came over apologized gave us a free round of drinks. We then got a glass of cherry brandy each and then when they also brought me the wrong dessert they left that and gave me the correct one to. They then gave us a €24 discount. So the customer service was extremely good. My father is 82 and walks with a stick, so they sat us at the top to save him walking down lots of steps. We would definitely recommend taking the cable car 🚠 up, but this is quite pricey at €27 per person. It’s worth going up for the views over the city, but to be able to have a meal up there with all my family was priceless. It was a very hot day, but we got a lovely breeze from the top. I recommend booking in advance, especially if you want to go for sunset.

Restaurant Panorama is a wonderfully sited restaurant high up in Dubrovnik best reached by cable car. As the name suggests it offers panoramic views of Dubrovnik and the island of Lokrum for those lucky enough to have a table on the south side. For those not so lucky and have a table on the north side there are panoramic views of mountains. Some may be lucky and get both sea and mountain views though not views of Dubrovnik. The menu is relatively extensive and the quality of our selections was excellent. There is also a large wine and cocktail list and again our cocktails were superb 🍹😁 Service is excellent and good natured. Definitely recommended.

Delicious food with a good view. If it's rainy then the fog might interrupt the view a bit but thankfully the wind blew clouds away and we could still see the amazing view once in a while. The staff was welcoming and would recommend reserving a table ahead of time but there weren't many people there when we went so we could still get a table

I had an amazing experience with them. I took the cable car … I did not have a reserve table the water immediately arranged one. I was alone not extra people. I had an amazing view. My waiter was nice and polite. The toilets are not near by the restaurant queue can be long. Food was delicious but I had something simple like a salad and a glass of orange juice… the views from this restaurant to Dubrovnik are stunning highly recommended to spend sometime with your family or lovely friends in this place … can be very romantic at night time.

Excellent service, we didnt book a table but we were able to get a tier 2 table anyway. The view is the best in Dubrovnik. The food was really good, tried the risotto with shrimp and courgette. A big thank you to the staff for being attentive and very nice. I will come back next time (and book a table in advance).

This restaurant is part of a small chain locally and can't praise the staff and quality of food highly enough. As per the images, we had a steak sandwich and chicken burger, of course complimented with a wine and soft drink. We have eaten in the various restaurants since arriving, breakfast, lunch and dinner options will not dissapoint. Please, if you are in the area, forget the rest and try the best.

Unbelievable experience. Service was one of the best on our trip, great food and good vibes. Food was gorgeous. Would recommend to wear warmer clothes, but the staff ensure you are as comfortable as possible with the heaters and blankets. We sat outside for sunset. Just incredible.

The Panorama Restaurant is a lovely restaurant overlooking the beautiful city of Dubrovnik. Taking the tram to the restaurant was lovely & the city was breathtaking. The food was delicious and very fresh. Lunch was with my husband and 10-year old son. Our table was right on the edge of the hilltop with gorgeous views of the Adriatic Sea & Dubrovnik. We ordered the Linguine with shrimp and seashells, tuna salad and vegetarian bowl. Each dish had fresh ingredients and tasted delicious. Our server was very attentive and pleasant and we had plenty of time to enjoy our lunch. Visiting this restaurant is a must

Fantastic location with amazing views over the city. Access via the very expensive cable car (€27 each person return). Food and drink menus are extensive and although a little expensive for Dubrovnik, I think worth the view alone. Booking ahead is essential but even with that you will have to queue up to get in. Recommended.

Simply put: you're paying for the views at this restaurant. The food wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't worth the expensive price we paid. We also weren't seen for 45 minutes after eating our dinner, and we wanted dessert but our time was up. I recommend saving yourself the time and trouble and go to the top of Mt. Srd for the views and then eat elsewhere.

First of all this is a place where customer service is outstanding. Have not been treated that well in restaurant in a while. That is why it is 5 stars. All around. This place is worth visiting the view is amazing and if you can have a table outside. The food is delicious. I loved the dish I had. “The sea food involtini” great creative combo . To be honest you pay a bit extra for the view and the excellent service. And this is not to complain in any way about the food just saying that I think the price is a bit high for what it is. However, everything was wonderful and I would definitely come back. Well done.

Wow, what an incredible place. The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh. We were told the fish is caught by the owner himself - which makes it even more special (and tasty!) The night was made by our lovely waitress, Stephanie. She made us feel so welcome and the service was faultless. We loved it so much we booked to come back this week! 5*****

I was not expecting good sushi in Dubrovnik however it was better then I expected. I have to admit if I gave it 4 stars because of expectations. If same restaurant in Asia will be a solid 3 stars instead of 4. Beef teriyaki meat was cooked perfectly to my request of medium rare. Very nice! However it was a shame that it was too heavily sauced, even though tasty, but a little too much. I recommend ordering it but ask server for less sauce. Fantasy roll was new to me, pretty good that we ordered another one. Rainbow roll and oyster roll was average.

First time we tried sushi in Croatia so our comparisons are only to the US. Sashimi was excellent. The ceviche had potential but was swimming in olive oil and it drowned out the acidity of the citrus which made the dish heavy instead of bright. The rolls, spicy tuna and tempura were just ‘ok’. The service was excellent and the setting is just far enough off the main path to provide a more quiet setting.

Experiencing Bota is like finding a outstanding pearl. We heard already 2 times from different people that Bota Sare is a must go. So we couldn’t wait to get there. It was a rainy evening in Dubrovnik, and normally we planed to sit outside but we ended up sitting in their cosy and very comfy restaurant. The people of the restaurant were super nice to our dog and welcomed us in a warm and nice way. So want to choose… we picked the backed oysters as a starter. Terrific taste. Exactly how I was imagining them. Crunchy but still oyster 🦪 yummy. Next up we went all tuna, the teriyaki tuna on a sushi rice bed as well as the tuna tartare. To die for. Normally I am not that enthusiastic but this tuna was outstanding! Could lick the plate afterwards, but of course you can’t do that in public ;). So why is that tuna so great. Nicola one of our hosts explained that the owner of Bota is the only one who has the license to fish wild tuna. So what you get here is the best of the best. We rounded up with a crispy sushi roll but asked to avoid the salmon which is coming from Norway and replace it with more tuna. What a fab choice. 😋. And the dessert was sweetness heaven. A chocolate banana cake. Gosh that was magic. So thx a million for this wonderful and very special evening to Stephanie & Nicola our hosts for all the nice infos and lovely service 🖤🙏🏽. PS. The freshly backed rosemary bread I needed to take an extra portion home to extent the experience.

Stephanie took such good care of us she was very friendly and patient! The food was immaculate, I'd only wish the portions were slightly bigger but they were filling nonetheless. The fresh oysters were amazing and the fried oysters were divine, they didn't look like much but the flavours were great with the dip 🥰 all of the sushi was quite fresh and the location is perfect! They gave us a free round of shots for my birthday and even gave a replacement free shot when my friend accidentally spilled hers ❤

We ate here 2 times in 5 days. Amazing! The freshest sushi we have ever had and the oysters were to die for! They have an oyster farm they get them from daily. Also the darkest, most delicious tuna. Both are a must order!

Came here during lunch for my birthday. Such a great location, it’s private, and a more intimate space. The sushi was excellent; fresh tasting. 10/10

Beautiful setting, fresh and delicious sushi, and great service. We came on our first night in Dubrovnik for our honeymoon. We were seated in the alleyway, across from the front door, and the breeze was unbelievably perfect with light music in the background. We started with the only sake on the menu, about €9 for a small bottle for ~4 shots worth. Then we ordered a bottle of Croatian white wine for about €33. I started with oysters, which were caught 50km away. Everything they source and serve is caught within 50km. The oysters were good, although I added a touch of soy sauce to bring out more flavour. Next we had the sashimi platter for €44 of 4 salmon, 4 tuna, and 4 of a white fish (I think). The salmon was absolutely incredible, the best we’ve ever had. We ended up ordering another 6 more salmon pieces at the end of our meal because it was so good. Next we ordered three rolls: a fried fantasy roll, the Philly roll, and a tuna roll with avocado and cucumber. Every single one was perfect. Honestly, I’m hungry again writing this review. I would happily go back tomorrow for the salmon sashimi and three rolls.

Great find! Cute little back street restaurant off the beaten path. In door and out door seating. Waiter was very friendly. Very fresh fish, yummy oysters Can’t go wrong here

As for majority of the restaurants in Dubrovnik you’ll need to make a reservation. First we made ours for 20h but had to move it to 20:30 and showed up 5 mins late. We waited several minutes to be seated on our table but the waitress was so kind and apologized. We ordered several kinds of sushi and were incredibly satisfied with taste and quality. As you can tell from the photos, we had quite large selection but since we’re huge lovers of sushi, that hit the sweet spot for us. Overall amazing experience.

The food was fantastic. You require about 3-4 plates of sushis to be full. But they tasted delicious. All ingredients were fresh. Recommendation from the lovely waiter (Maria) was on point and matched our taste preferences exactly. The service was swift and friendly. P.S. We went there again during our stay.

LOVED this cute sushi restaurant nestled close to the port. Prices were reasonable, considering they are located in a major tourist area. The oysters were fresh from their oyster farm. The sushi rolls were tasty as well as the carpaccio. Our server Maria was so lovely and made sure we were having a great dining experience. Would highly recommend coming here if you want sushi in the heart of Old Town!

Perfect sushi night in this restaurant! The waitress was really friendly, we even got a cherry liquor on the house. The sushi quality was incredible (explains the higher price range). We would come back again!
