The Frauenkirche in Dresden is a beautiful church. This impressive building is very beautiful to look at from the outside and inside. We even had a guided tour with interesting information and backgrounds The city that suffered the most from the destruction of World War II, demonstrates the strength of reconstruction and its beauties!

Beautiful church to visit. Cost is free to go into the church. You can ascend to the dome for 10 euro. Well worth it. 70 meters high (221 ft) to viewing area. I counted 304 stairs descent with 300 meters of spiral climb (non steps)

Dresden is a beautiful place. At all season it’s beautiful. You can just roam around the city and it’s more beautiful by night.

Like all buildings from Dresden, this wonderful cathedral has been completely rebuilded and finished 60 years after the bombing from '45. The baroque style respect every details from the old cathedral and it looks gorgeous. Do not miss to get inside, it is overwhelming.

The Church of “Our Lady”, which withstood the cannon shots of the Prussians, as well as the air raid of the British army. It fell only due to the melting of the sandstone by fire, rebuilt. Incredible work

The Zwinger complex is incomprehensible until you’ve visited! You have no idea how grand it is until you’re there. We visited the grounds and the Old Masters Picture Gallery. Even though the grounds are getting worked on, the architecture is impressive enough to appreciate its grandeur. We really enjoyed the gallery as well.

Unfortunately, during our visit, the courtyard was being renovated - with the entire thing having been dug up. The buildings are still impressive and the architecture is interesting. It's a huge building with multiply attractions. The place is a combination of a baroque palace, museums, an art gallery, a park, a terrace, with fountains, stairs sculptures. A beautiful place to discover, learn and relax.. An absolute must see in Dresden!

Breathtaking and amazing palace. Even though I have been here countless times, this palace never ceases to impress me. If you visit Dresden, this place is definitely a must-see. It is free of charge to look around the building. (Unfortunately it’s under construction at the moment).

A perfect place to visit during your time in Dresden. I went in spring and it was beautiful. It has many spots for photos and it is very nice to walk all around the gardens and the palace.

And it’s a perfect place for photo session . We went there when it was reconstruction’s works . Exciting to see that next time when they will finish renovations. Reallynice place to visit, I did in winter time so I think I prefer back in a good time to enjoy more thus beautiful place. They are rebuilding now so I hope when I will back I can be ready to visit completely

Very interesting set of buildings. Totally rebuilt after the war by using whatever blocks were still useable. The orange (as in the fruit) greenhouse is marvelous.

I found this area amazing. These buildings were an inspiration to restoration! When you look back at the history of Dresden and what happened to it during world was 2, you'd never think it had ever been obliterated. what a pretty city it is now.

Truly a spectacle. 🌟 The intricate details behind this artwork is enough to stop you in your tracks and simply appreciate the workmanship for a good 20-30 mins. 🙌🏼 Plenty of tourists typically walk along this street, so don't waste an opportunity to get a clear photo when there's nobody around! 📸

A beautiful wall, completely painted with the story of the Saxon princess back from 1870s. Very detailed and marvellous art work full with history. A must visit if you are in the area. This can be combined with Dresden palace and the famous Frauenkirche.

Loved it! It is the best and at the same time simplest way to enjoy the history in Dresden. Walk through the history of Saxon simply by walking by this piece of art. I cannot put it into words how interesting it was, especially if somebody plays some nice music in the background. It's also located at the heart of Dresden with very easy accessibility to a lot of restaurants and Frauenkirche. It'd be great to take a walk in the area every morning and have a headstart every day.

As a woman who recently had the opportunity to admire the "Procession of the Princes" mural, I must say that it was an unforgettable experience. This stunning work of art, stretching over an impressive 102 meters, masterfully captures the history and grandeur of the Saxon rulers. The intricate details and vivid colors of the porcelain tiles create an awe-inspiring visual journey through the centuries. Standing before this magnificent piece, I felt deeply connected to the past and gained a newfound appreciation for the craftsmanship and artistic talent that went into creating such a monumental masterpiece. The "Procession of the Princes" is undoubtedly a must-see for anyone interested in the rich cultural heritage of Saxony.

This Procession of Princes dates from the 1870's and it is a mural showing all the rulers of Saxony. It can be reached in about 15 minutes if you walk from the Main Train Station. A must!

A very well preserved art wall in the city centre. Walking through this road, it feels like you are having a history lesson of the city and the region of Saxony!

Even if you are not a museum lover, you would definitely love it. All those jewelry collections are simply stunning. Buy ticket in advance.. Must visit. Taking pictures are not allowed.

Unfortunately, there is not allowed to make photos inside. But you can see pictures on Google Map or in internet. There are 9 halls which are very different, but all of them are very interesting and just fantastic. 3 of the total 9 halls of the Green Vault, which are located on the side of the Palace courtyard, were completely destroyed in February 1945 and then were made again based on photographs and drawings. Entrance is limited, and it is better to buy tickets beforehand. The entrance fee is 14 euros

Dazzling display of wealth. This is a must see in Dresden. Timed entry is required, and you can’t take any pictures in the old green vault. All the pictures are from the new green vault. I’d say the old green vault is worth it because it’s even more luxurious than the new one.

This place has so much to see. I would not bother with a tour. We had signed our 10th graders up for a tour and it was way too short. Sadly, you do not really get to see that much on the on the tour. We really only saw what felt about 2% of the exhibition. I highly recommend using your ticket to climb to the top of the tower because you have an amazing view.

Good and interesting. If you're not that much interested in museums, I will suggest you go and visit there if you didn't visit any other museum for last one year. Otherwise it may be a little boring.

The most interesting part of this museum is the room of green diamonds 41 carats. So amazing stone with beautiful sparkling light.

I have to say, it's worth the money but don't rush, take your time and spare some. The location is quite deceiving, I did not expect much when I entered but man was I in for a shocking surprise. When I entered I did not expect much, but, weeeewwww! This place is a sight to behold. The history is beautiful, it's just amazing what is inside and what you learn in those few hours you take to move around. It has a mix of slightly modern with old architectural designs and items inside. Do wear some flat and flexible walking shoes it will take a while to explore. To recommend it? Yep, I recommend it 100%. Will I go back? A day I have free yesssss!

Really nice Museum. It has a lot of wonderful art, reminding me of more popular museums from Italy. Would definitely return.

It was amazing, best weapons collection I have ever seen!

Beautifully restored 18th century museum housing some lovely and controversial treasures. Entry to the museum costs €14 pp with audio guide included. 9 rooms of treasures are arranged in a horseshoe shape from and back to the Ante-Room. The rooms are: 1. Ivory Room 2. Amber Room - my favourite 3. White Silver room 4. Silver gilt room 5. Hall of Precious Objects - stucco ceiling, rock crystal, ostrich egg 6. Coats of Arms Room 7. Jewel Room 8. Room of Bronzes 9. Room of Renaissance Bronze The circuits lasts approximately 1.5 hours with no seats available until the last room and Ante-Room. No photographs are allowed inside the museum.

An amazing collection that is definitely worth visiting! We spent about an hour inside and enjoyed to the max! Also, buy your tickets online in advance, because they only allow a limited number of people per hour and there are almost never same-day tickets available on site!

Part of one of the moat richest treasury in Europe. You do get an audio guide which explains you everything, so you do not need a guide to show you around. They have so many mind blowing collections of all kinds of gemstones, ivory collections, gold decor and the famous green diamond which is the main part of attraction here. They also have the golden model of the court from Moughal emperor Aurangzeb, which is so delicately and nicely explained. It took me 10 minutes to go through all those minute details. It is one of its kind. Do not miss the chance to see and admire the famous Green diamond.

Large collection of paintings, covering an amazingly wide range of painters and eras. If you seek to explore all the floors of the Gallery, don't expect to spend less than 3 hours in it! (Here are some of my personal favorites)

The vast collection of arts is beyond imagination. It’ll take a long time to finish the visit. Didn’t know that there is mummy; so it was an exciting visit for me.

Interesting set of masterpieces. Nice way to categorize them. Place to spend hours. Many Canaletto paintings to compare Dresden.

For art fans, be sure to visit this museum. The works are divided in themes and epochs, which takes you into a dive into history. Tour guides are available. I recommend navigating alone (with a map) and getting to know the history of the works. The exhibition rooms are a special charm. It is worthwhile.

it is a nice gallery if you are really into an art. I personally like to look at pictures but it cannot really appreciate them. I have visited numbers, art, museums but or cannot really make difference between French, German, Italian except maybe the clothing and the facial features. however, you can get a combined ticket for the porcelain gallery and this picture gallery for only 14 euros which I think is great deal.

A wonderful masterpiece of architecture, currently under restoration. The exhibitions there are very beautiful and offer an interesting perspective on the history of the building.

If you find yourself in Dresden, interested in art, and have a few hours this should be on your list. As advertised, old masters. Compact enough not to need all day, but with depth. If you have time, get the audio guide. Unfortunately for us, the famous Vermeer was on loan when we visited, plenty of other fine paintings to feast our eyes on. Don't forget to stop at the gift shop. Well stocked with plenty of excellent text books. There's a cafe also. Thankfully, plenty of spots in the center of the gallery rooms to have a seat. 1.5 to 2.0 hours minimum, but one could stay all day. Enjoy!

I went on a trip to Germany with my school, such a cool art museum. Stood in awe of all of the sculptures and paintings for hours!

Fresh, homemade spaghetti Nero with calamari. I was surprised with the paper ball presentation, but it made it hot and steamy. The flavor was a bit bland but I was very happy with the overall experience because everything tasted fresh and well-made.

There’s 2 Italian restaurants next to each other here, and we went with La Osteria because they had pizza. It definitely hit the spot. Pasta was good, nothing crazy. Staff spoke English & were attentive.

This place has great outdoor seating with shady spots. Easy to understand midday menu with ample choices. The waiter was not busy but somehow not able to provide any service, people were missing silverware, spices, etc .. many tables waited more then 15 minutes after requesting to pay. Bread & salad was lovely, their own branded water great. Pasta dishes drowned in sauce and were too spicy or too bland. Panacotta, advertised as special dessert, was still liquid tasting like heavy cream with sugar. The espresso cup was less than 1/4 filled when served. Overall: nice place to sit but we'd not eat here again....

The food was amazing! The menu will recommend their meat pappardelle. But for us the spaghetti Nero is the must order dish here! Our waiter Leo was very nice too!

We reserved a table online and the process went smoothly. The food was great, we loved everything. The Tiramisu was really yummy. This is one of the restaurants we will definitely come back to.

Amazing Italian food in the heart of Dresden. Very close to the city Center with authentic staff that are quite friendly and can speak English, Italian and German. The pannacotta was my most favourite but I’ve also had different pastas and raviolis once. Good ambience with the option of outdoor seating in summer. Quite a busy restaurant as well and booking in advance is wiser!

We decided to check out this restaurant after seeing it ranked highly on Tripadvisor, and while it was decent, it didn't leave a lasting impression. For the starter, we ordered the bruschetta, but unfortunately, the bread was soggy at the bottom and didn't meet our expectations. As for the main course, we tried the tortellini and lasagna, which were both presented differently to most restaurants. While the food was satisfactory, it didn't stand out as anything extraordinary.

Average food, very slow service. Overall - not great, not terrible. The waiter who’s in charge of the marquee keeps instantly closing and opening it, which is very annoying because it squeaks. The selection of cured meats and cheeses was quite good. Don’t add the salmon to the truffle ravioli, doesn’t pair well. The shrimp ravioli is below average, at least in comparison with the average truffle ones.

The menu was a bit limited but it tasted good. The lasagna was supposed to be "untypisch" but it was quite "typisch" :)))). The staff were super friendly and kept smiling all the time. I guess it's also a good place for birthday surprise bcuz we had been there like an hour and we saw two birthday surprises, which was cute.

Food and atmosphere were really great. Some of the best pasta dishes we had. Service was really understanding as we arrived well before our reservation and then had to change tables because of rain, but unfortunatelly was also a bit slow.

This place is perfect to have lunch/dinner and it is next to the Dresden cathedral. The atmosphere was really nice. We were looking for a German typical restaurant and it achieve all our expectations. The waitress who attend us was really nice and polite too. We liked all the plates but we loved specifically both desserts. I recommend it. We’re really happy with our choice.

The original schnitzel (beef) and Käsespätzle were really good. Food took quite a long while to be served though. Would rate it 5 stars otherwise.

The Augustiner in Dresden is a warm and fun place to be in the winter and pretty awesome in summer in the outdoor seating. Food is great and the bier is amazing of course. The service on the most part is good but did see a few things that the Augustiner can do without. If it were my place that would change quickly. But I was there for the food, bier and atmosphere and it met my expectations.

Sat outside waited to get served then server came back later and he’d forgot had to reorder and wait again, went inside upstairs and got served by a nice chap who gave us some tips on what to do and local knowledge, wish he’d served us first.

Stumbled upon this place after trying to find a restaurant that would take us without a booking. They had a huge menu with lots of options, reasonably priced. The staff were great and super lovely. I would recommend!

Well, it was our fault that we didn’t reserve a table on a Saturday night, so we opted to eat outside on a chill Spring evening! But as we ordered and started to drink, the waiter said that they just freed a table inside so we gladly moved inside. As this was my co-travellers first time in Germany, I suggested they try all the typical Bavarian specialties like pork knuckles, Käsespätzle, white sausages, Schnitzel and even Nurnberger sausages! They left very satisfied with all the food we ordered!! The only thing that can be improved was the potato salad, I didn’t know why they mixed it with other veggies.

I would recommend this place to anyone who is trying out German food. The beer is really good quality. The Nuremberg sausages I tried and the Käsespätzle were super delicious! The service thought was quite slow.

Absolutely great experience! It can be a bit pricey, but it is well located, warm medieval vibes, lots of ornaments! In addition, the staff is really friendly, there was an artist playing songs throughout the tables! Lastly, but not least, the food was really good! Definitely recommended! =)

When I travel, I like to try some local food. I'm not sure if this is traditional food from Dresden, but it was very good. Lovely historic building. As with all German food, there's a lot of pork. Yum. There's also medieval entertainment. Waiter, Thomas, was excellent. I'll be back for lunch tomorrow.

Fantastic ambiance with live music, warm conversations, and great service. I ordered cannon balls 😀 and I loved it. The salad was the surprise, it was really good. The gravy was highlight of the rest of the dish. They do have good beer selection. If you are in the area, definitely check this place out.

Booked here for Christmas dinner and enjoyed a festive meal with entertainment and good beer. Had the Weihnachtsmenü (duck and dessert) where the duck was cooked to perfection and we also ordered a the Sauerbraten.

Nice location in the middle of park with a great view, but unfortunately the service is so slow disappointing. We reserved a table 45 mins in advance, but still It took more than half an hour for a piece of cake which finally they said there is no cake and brought us a cold muffin.

The ambience and setting were very nice. The service was satisfactory, some orders were wrong and some took extra time to serve (e.g., beer). The food was delicious but way too little to satisfy your hunger although you would expect that at this high price. Personal order: chicken breast cooked with port wine, however, received chicken leg/thigh.

The food was okay, but not adequate for the price. More due to it's close location to the lake and castle park. Called there an hour before for reservation but they said just come by and when we reached, we were told there are only 2 higher tables left (which seems very uncomfortable). We got lucky though and one normal table freed up. It took quite long until one of the waiters took our order and served us. They have a few waiters walking around but not the best attitude. Also expected a better romantic atmosphere but it's simply a normal typical German restaurant and outdoor tables are placed on gravel sand. At least they were nice enough to replace the potatoes salad with fries. We ordered the lamb dish and Schnitzel, a bottle of water and a homemade ice tea and it costed us about 70€ in total (20-30€ for main course and 6-10€ for the drinks each). They accept cards. Better to make a reservation ahead. But I would not recommend this restaurant unless you're close by and want to eat German food.

Perfect localization next to the pond, delicious Apfel Strudel with a stunning display on the plate. Good lemonade and decent hot chocolate. Small disadvantage for stuff not speaking English. But definitely would recommend

We were here to celebrate my grandma's birthday and the food and the cakes were very tasty and the arrangements very appealing. The staff was courteous and friendly, the toilets were functional and clean. You can also rent a rowboat and have a walk in the nice big park in which the restaurant is located. All-in-all we had a great time on a nice summer day here, wholeheartedly recommended!

Very thoughtful staff offered a lounge chair so our exhausted child could rest after a long day. Veal loin with asparagus was mouth watering

I liked the food and atmosphere. The waiters can improve their attitude a bit and be more patient with the non-German speaking guests.

Overall it was a good evening, the localisation is quite nice, with a view on the lake. We took the BBQ formula for 49e, which doesn't include the drinks (soft or alcohol). The service and the atmosphere were great, on the BBQ side, on the other hand, I was quite disappointed, the choice of meats was quite poor as was the choice of desserts. I'd love to come back to the place, but not for the BBQ.

This is my least favourite place to dine in the entire Germany. First of all, the food taste was just okay. The service was average. Expect a crowded ambiance as it has large seating areas. Prices are in the higher range but it's understandable due to its prime location.

The restaurant located in a very good location. The decoration was very beautiful and interesting. It's the place you should stop by to sit for a little while when you are in Dresden. The food was OK. Actually I had no idea what I ordered, so I did it randomly. The price was quite expensive but understandable.

Interesting place which is part museum and part restaurant. The menu is also quite cool. But the men's bathroom is quite bad with it's objectification of women. But anyway it's clean and no one is forced to look at the pictures.

The problem was that they bring completly different meal than I wanted. Than I ate mine food and it was terrible. When you want a meat with potato and they bring you a big plate of bear. Fun that I am abstinent.
