Imperial Palace is another major tourist spot in Tokyo, Japan. Imperial Palace is pretty huge to wander around and need to walk a lot to see the places around palace. Good to carry water bottle and snacks in hand for quick sip and bite. Pretty amazing historical place and neatly maintained by the officials and peoples as well.

This review is about the outskirts of the place. You’ll need to book a ticket in advance if you want to enter inside the palace grounds which I still haven’t done yet. Easy walk around the entire place, gives you different views of the city. I also like the different flowers on the walkway. Lots of joggers and bikers so be careful walking.

The grounds of the Imperial Palace are very well maintained, and is a great place to visit for a walk. We visited in January, so it is most likely less crowded during that time. If you're in the area, it's a great place to stop by to see the gardens and buildings.

There are two free guided tours available per day. The guided tours are available in multiple languages and provide an outside walking tour of the inner grounds. Prior planning is necessary if you are interested in the guided tour. The tour consists of information regarding the history of the various buildings on the premises and their uses. The tour can be interesting for those who like the historical information, however the buildings themselves are not that intricate to look at. There is also an East Garden that is available to walk though and visit with no planning necessary.

OK. I may get some flack for this one. We spent about 2 hrs walking around the garden area of the Imperial Palace. It is nice, quiet, but also does not directly connect into the Palace grounds where we were hoping to see and take pictures of this historic area. We walked from the garden area to a bridge that we believed would grant us entry. However, the guards were giving us mixed information. One told us it was closed. Another pointed towards the direction we just walked from and said we needed to buy tickets. There isn't a ton of shade out there and the heat from the sun, humidity and hunger set in and we decided, this was as close as we were going to get. Honestly, without seeing the Palace up close - we kinda just walked around a lack luster garden. Sure it's nice, but was it time well spent? Not really. Unless you can find how to actually see the Palace up close or have a guided tour - this may be a pass for you. We still found it interesting and peaceful but without seeing thr Palace itself... it just felt like we made a poor decision. Especially because time isn't your friend on vacation. Maybe if there had been clear signs, in English and other languages to help guide visitors on proper entry this might have been worth it. There were other travelers who seemed just as confused as us.

I was staying in Tokyo for one night and got off at this train station which happened to be the Imperial palace There are 2 scheduled tours 1:00 in the morning and 1 at 1300. No reservations needed they can take up to 70 people per tour or tour with It was very informative and had plenty to see they have multilingual Tour guides. It is very it is very well put together and recommend it to anyone with family or by yourself.

I visited here in summer. It opens only morning time and limited only 70 visitors per round. All visitors need to walking tour as group. There are available for 5 language guide such as Japanese, English, French, Chinese and Korean (Not sure). Japanese guide is always available, but other language subjected to available guide in that day. I did't make a reservation before visiting, but lucky me there was an English tour. The tour started at 10am, but I recommend to arrive before at least 15 minutes. Open to queue from 9am. The walking tour takes almost 1 hour. Visitors are not allowed to walk tour by themselves. There are toilets and vending machine only at waiting area. Better to be ready before tour.

Well worth a visit. We took the free tour through the palace grounds, not much possible to see otherwise as you are not allowed through the gates other than in a guided tour. Still, you can see the moat and main gates. The tour takes you through the palace grounds, though not inside any buildings. There is Japanese, English, and sometimes other languages available. Tour takes about 2 hours (incl. orientation, etc.), quite interesting if you enjoy history and architecture, otherwise you may find it boring. It's also very warm and a lot of walking, so be prepared. Would recommend reserving a spot on the tour in advance, otherwise you need to show up at least one hour in advance to be sure to get a spot on the tour. There is one at 13:00 and one in the morning (11:00?)

Edo Castle (aka, Chiyoda Castle) was originally built in 1457 by Ōta Dōkan in Edo, Toshima District, Musashi Province. Now, what’s left of that castle, the Edo Castle Ruins are officially part of Tokyo Imperial Palace in Chiyoda, Tokyo. Unlike other major castles around Japan, the main buildings are all gone. All that remains of the ruins are the outer gardens, some minor structures, outer gates, and the inner and outer moats. Even though the main buildings are gone and the majority of grounds are usually off limits to commoners, there’s still lots left to explore. The usually accessible grounds are vast and you’ll have to quite a bit of walking to cover even a fraction of what there is to see. I wouldn’t recommend trying to see everything in a single day. Besides, some parts of the ruins are better enjoyed either early in the mornings or after dark.

Amazing to see this much open area in the middle of Tokyo. I visited the gardens the only bad part was it was raining so I didnt get to stay or explore everything that I wanted. Worth a visit if you like walking around. Also the walls are built with such intricacy crazy.

Edo Castle, or Chiyoda Castle, the biggest castle in Japan is part of Tokyo Imperial Palace and was home to the powerful Tokugawa Shogun. Now, the site houses the imperial family palace and residence, and some areas are open to the public, such as the gardens and several museums. The garden is gorgeous and peaceful; I spent a few hours for walking around, enjoying the scenery in this park and the beautiful trees; one side of the view is city buildings and the other side is the view of the Imperial Palace. It is open daily, from 9 am to 5 pm, and closed on Friday. Admission is free.

The castle ruins and the surrounding park are lovely to explore. We spent a few hours here and it was really nice. Its worth noting that the park is closed two days a week, and you should check if it is open beforehand.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. We witnessed a traditional show, the whole place is full of cherry blossoms. It was thrilling.

A peaceful place, nobody was there when we went. Probably not that famous, but the story behind is intersting. If I get it right, every kamikazes' souls during the the WWII reached this place after death and it's told they still reside here. I got Goosebumps.

Very beautiful and peaceful place. They were doing construction before an event so there was scaffolding, but even that was pretty. Inside the museum is a nice gift shop and a pretty public toilet. Quick note, if you want to take a photo of the shrine, take it from the side near the gravel (or the guard will politely remind you).

A kind of “hidden” museum which subscribes the more recent history of Japan. Descriptions are also in English language. Certainly recommended when you want to see the real history of Japan.

Came here last week. Not far from Lidabashi station. Better to enter from the east entrance where there is a small park. The temple grounds is quite large, worthwhile to explore.

A lovely park in the middle of downtown Tokyo. Beautifully sculpted gardens with a variety of things to including children's playground to cafes and restaurants and various historical sites. A great place to escape from the busy day to day and be in nature.

This park is plenty! It covers a very large block, wonderful for walking a d listening to the birds, jogging, sitting for a quiet catch up or picnic. Large amounts of tennis courts huge fountain, some history pieces to check out. You could easily spend 20 minutes as a quick walk through up to a few hours sitting down to soak it in.

This is pretty huge park near Yurakucho station. It's next to Tokyo station. It's nice to walk around nature in the city. I went there in Autumn season and it was full of yellow colored leaves. In winter time, there is popular Chirstmas market event too. You can enjoy different aspects of Hibiya park throughout the year.

It was quite a big park in the middle of the city. You can see a big green space surrounded by big buildings which is very interesting to look at. The park itself has a good amount of benches to sit down and relax for a bit after a long walk, there is a big pond and you can see ducks swimming around it. Walking around the park takes about 10 or 20 minutes depending on how fast you are. Definately a must to see if around Hibiya/Ginza area.

This park is right next to an open air concert hall.. so if you come later in the evening on the weekends you might catch a band playing some really cool music!

Hibiya Park, which is relatively small, is simply charming. Lovely lake, tree lined paths are especially pleasant on a hot day. Unfortunately, the large fountain is currently closed for renovations.

One of the best places for autumn leaves and its free. Close to many museums, it also contains a nice classic library - with English books in it. Check it out!

Pretty quiet on a random Tuesday afternoon, but still photogenic~ There are many shrines in this complex, too. Plus a little museum. If you’re in the area, I would recommend going. If you are a stamp collector, as a forewarning it is looseleaf and in the same area as the museum (at least right now) As per usual, please be respectful when visiting. Especially since this a popular wedding spot. Randomly jumping into the couples photos really isn’t the way to go (as I saw some people doing while I was there).

You have to visit the Kanda Shrine when you are in Tokyo. I visited a Thursday at 7h30a.m. There were very few people. It was calm and serene and I was able to take beautiful pictures of the Shrine. I would recommend that you go back after sunset and take those beautiful night pictures with the Shrine lights on. Bring mosquito repellent

I went here for Hatsumoude Really nice Jinja, definitely worth a visit.. it's open 24*7 and is of course, free..

Stumbled upon this shrine as, what turned out to be, a happy accident. If you're in the area, then I recommend stopping by. It's beautiful and the lion water feature is very impressive. It is a smaller shrine but definitely doesn't lack impact.

Vibrant with bright gold & red colors on the shrine buildings. They have anime ema available to write & hang. They have a gift store to shop in, along with free parking on the shrine grounds.

I’ve been here a couple of times so far. Great place to take photos. Very nice shop to the left as you enter the grounds. I’m posting about the Bon Odori event. Had some food, watched the dancers and had an overall good time. There were a lot of people there. The staff did well with crowd control. If you get a chance, this event is something you do not want to miss. A great summer tradition to enjoy.

Beautiful shrine with a nice shop for gifts. Free to just walk in and take a look. It even had a miniature horse.

My wife and I visited briefly during the Kanda Myojin Noryo Matsuri, and it was absolutely bustling with visitors, traditional performers, and street food. It was really awesome to see, and with it's super close location I recommend everyone check it out if you're staying in Akihabara. It's also unique as a Shinto shrine in that it very clearly integrates technology into the shrine and its festivals. During our time stopping by, they had V-tubers present on a big screen in the middle of the courtyard. It was very charming, and everyone was having a lot of fun

This is one of the best shrines in Tokyo. It's a beautiful combination of older architecture and modern, with some of the most important Shinto deities honored. I highly recommend their summer festival, or going for the first shrine visit of the year.

As others have said before, it is a quite pricey but in my opinion well worth it and I'm very glad I went here! The staff members are all very accommodating and soo kind. Rest assured, they will give you a great ninja experience. The courses themselves were presented in interesting ways. I've had the vegetarian course and was definitely not disappointed. The magic show was also entertaining and the ninja was very friendly! Would definitely recommend this as an experience and will also gladly come back again. (I was also full after the courses!)

TOTALLY WORTH THE SPLURGE. While it has been years since we ate there, the magic of that evening still brings smiles to us. The whole experience from the moment you step in to the restaurant through the meal service and to the very end are executed flawlessly. The food was amazing, but the up close magic and sleight of hand tricks were unbelievable. Spend the small fortune. You're guaranteed to have an amazing evening.

This experience was a splurge but definitely worth it for the most part. My favorite part of the experience was that we ate our dinner in what looked like a cave. The staff were so friendly and fun! I enjoyed all of the appetizers, they were unique and came out in displays with ninja weapons and smoke. The main course was pretty basic being steak and salad, but it was delicious. The ninja staff replaced our wet towels often, and our eating utensils. We felt very welcomed being foreigners, and the staff spoke English well. This wasn’t just a great dinner it was entertainment and activities. This was the most put together entertainment restaurant, and I loved meeting real life ninjas!

Went here today for dinner. The ninja village was a bit of a dark maze but the staffs were very helpful and mindful of people’s safety. I love that the tables and seating are separate so more intimate and you can enjoy the food and the service. Food from the first course to the end were just to die for, very creative, top produce and well balanced. Each meal was creative and paired with some showmanship. Some food are disguised to look something else like the omelette and radish at the end with soy we’re actually pudding, Apple compote and caramel sauce. The Master Ninja at the end was very entertaining with his magic presentation. The experience has a wow factor, staffs great, food divine. Booking is a must!

Such a fun and interesting concept for a high end restaurant. I love how the ninja theme is over the top but not in a bad or tacky way. My husband and I made a reservation for my birthday and we had so much fun. The food was delicious. We ordered 2 Hanzo course meals and asked if one could be accommodated for a dairy intolerance. They were able to make small changes to the menu for me and I was so thankful. Service was really great and I cannot wait to return!

This place was unbelievable. It's on the higher-priced side but definitely worth every penny - the food, atmosphere, performance, and master ninja were all a fantastic experience, adults and children alike! From the very beginning, even before you enter, it's well performed! The wagyu Steak really was melt in your mouth and everything was so delicious. My picky eaters ate everything! Highly recommend you make this special dinner a part of your trip!

I was pleasantly surprised by this vegan ramen place! Not only we’re the flavors excellent(though of course, not quite like ramen), but the price wasn’t bad-around 900yen for a bowl of ramen. It’s right in Tokyo Station so you can catch the Shinkansen from right around here too.

I do think they are very original with the variety of food they offer.

This place was pretty good! The ramen was really good with complex broth flavors and all together a pretty unique lunch. Their dumplings were also very good, and the service was excellent!

I was walking outside and lost for a long while… Love the food! First visit- I had some ramen + dumplings for ~15sgd. Second visit, I’ve ordered the seasonal set meal (include ramen, soy yoghurt and rice) for ~15sgd. 😋 Foodie so good. Restaurant is spacious, clean but packed during peak hour. There is solo eating section and I feel so comfortable eating alone there (with my camera😂).

Great place for vegan noodles in Tokyo. We tried the black sesame and the golden sesame tantan bowls, and both were delicious. Personally I preferred the heat and flavour of the black sesame one, but you can’t go wrong with either. Unlike some other vegan noodle places I’ve been to, it really feels like a great bowl of noodles designed from scratch, not a weird veggie version of something else – the broth is delicious, the vegetables are just right, and of course the noodles themselves are good too; I’d recommend everyone come here, vegan or not. The gyoza are also worth getting – the balls of vegan cheese perhaps less so. You may have to wait for a seat if you go at a busy time, but with it being a quick meal it generally doesn’t take too long for tables to free up. Note that it’s on the “inside” of the ticket barriers, so it makes most sense to come here when in transit through Tokyo station – but I’d say it’s worth going out of your way for too!

I love T's Tantan and stop by to indulge in their delicious vegan ramen whenever I find myself in Tokyo Station, if I can find it! In fact, in the past I have bought the cheapest train ticket to get through the gates to reach my ramen!! I always get a side order of vegan gyoza too and they serve Heartland, one of Japan's better largers.

It’s somewhat difficult to find good vegetarian food in Tokyo, but T’s Tantan changes that expectation. Delicious, healthy, freshly made vegetarian food. A little challenging to find, but is inside the gates of Tokyo station, near the Uniqlo. Had the Golden Sesame Tantan and vegetarian gyoza, both fantastic. Nice friendly staff, who also check if you have any allergies too.

A paradise for vegetarian person. Th is place only does vegan food. Inside the Tokyo station and it may be easy to miss it if you are in a hurry. But the food is good. The ramen was delightful. Went there multiple times.

Tokyo can be a little unfriendly to little ones but I can’t stress enough how wonderfully hospitable and charming the staff were, making my two young children feel at ease and comfortable in a really fast-paced city. It’s expensive for sure but it was a great experience for us and my boys have very fond memories of シャキさん.

Interesting experience, desserts are good. Food is okay. The maids really hound you for a review and they watch you input it, so the ratings are probably overinflated. Do note that there’s like a 880 yen service charge and each person needs to order an item. The items are overinflated in price, but to be expected given it’s a maid cafe.

Maidreamin Akihabara Honten offers a memorable maid cafe experience. The energetic show, performed by the maids, adds to the lively atmosphere. The delicious parfaits are a treat for the taste buds. Despite it being a busy Sunday, the queue moved quickly. However, our seating next to a wall hindered visibility of the stage, which was disappointing. Nevertheless, the overall experience was enjoyable and worth a visit.

What a great experience for the family and I’m not joking. Of course my son was a bit embarrassed but my daughter enjoyed the moment. Friendly atmosphere, food is “good enough”. But what a blast to experience and enjoy. I’ve done a Maid Cafe [bucket list, check]

They ring a bell with each new arrival.  Overall it's very interactive, and, if you're open, you'll be immersed in cuteness.  Atmosphere: 5/5 Staff:  The staff at Maidreamin is what makes this place worthwhile.  A maid promptly greeted us when we arrived.  She was very helpful while ordering, checking back and forth with her manager to find vegetarian food for us.  She was fun, asking us to meow when we wanted her attention, and having us all say "Moe" before she left our table (each time she left our table).  Another tabled requested a live performance, which everyone was able to watch.  The maids made it interactive, starting with prizes for anyone who would meow into their microphone (I won a packet of green tea).  They also handed out glow sticks and pull poppers, cueing during their performance when they wanted you to use them.  Two of the maids danced enthusiastically to a song, which was fun to watch.  Staff: 5/5. Food:  We had heard this location had vegetarian food, but when we got there we found that was not the case.  Our maid asked if we wanted food, and we asked what was vegetarian on the menu.  She checked with her manager, going back and forth between us and the manager several times.  They came up with a rice and cheese omelette.  That was the option, and since she tried so hard to find something for us, we went ahead and got it (though it didn't sound very interesting).  The omelette didn't really have much flavor, other than the ketchup design she put on top.  Omelette 2/5. The kitty Parfait was so cute, it almost seemed a shame to eat it. The ice cream was very good.  The bottom of the parfait  cup was filled with corn flakes.  I didn't think it would go well with the ice cream, but it wasn't bad at all.  Food: 3/5. TL;DR: Fun experience!

I came because the internet told me to. I came to Maidreamin in Akihabara in particular because I am a solo traveler who doesn’t speak Japanese and I had read online that at least some of the maids have some English speaking ability here. Turns out that wasn’t really true, but I’m a visitor in another country so I can’t be too upset about it. The inside is is pretty cheaply decorated with a handful of birthday-esc streamers and hanging paper bubbles. It was also much smaller than expected with only 5 tables and a long booth for larger parties. But lets look at the silver lining there and call it an intimately cozy space. The maids themselves were certainly upbeat and sweet, even with the language barrier. There were only three maids working there when I went on a Monday night around 8pm, but they each came by to introduce themselves and they definitely made me smile. Once an hour one of the girls does a little dance performance up front. It’s a bummer the maids wear their facemasks the entire time because I’m sure actually seeing their smiling faces would add to the experience. Other establishments around Tokyo use the clear face shields that I think a place like this would benefit from There was a 770yen entrance fee but I got excited when I saw on the menu a “first time visit” deal where you can stay for two hours, enjoy all you can drink, and take a few pictures for 1320yen. But after some back and forth google translate communication with the maids, that 1320 price on the menu is not what it seems and the all you can drink package is actually a little over 2000yen PLUS the 770yen entrance fee. So it actually doesn’t come out to much of a good deal at all unless you drink at least five beers…which seemed kinda creepy and irresponsible in a place where high school girls in cosplay were working. In the end I paid around 1500yen for one beer a 60 minute dose of cute culture shock. Eh, worth doing once I suppose.

This is one of the most unique and entertaining parts of Japanese culture. A maid cafe where you can get all types of food and drinks as young women parade around in maid outfits singing and doing other funny little behaviors. Everything is pay to play so open up those wallets. It’s a very interesting part of Japanese subculture and it is enjoyed by Japanese and foreigners alike.

The best ever place to have decent beef and chat with strangers. The staff are friendly too. Standing to have meals is very cool way too. Our new Perth friend and we both ordered a lot and very happy!

Standing eating with gas grill, A5 meat feast! Excellent service, top class meat, very very good prices! Highly recommend. Staff are friendly and all round great experience and great service! We loved it here, it was our last meal before flying back home, best decision ever!

This place was fantastic. You grill your own Wagyu and you do it while standing. I would recommend trying one of their sets first if you are unsure on what to order and then choose the cuts you want based on what you liked more. The veggies which is on the menu for grilling turned out to also be a hidden star as they were coated with some lovely sesame based salt. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Capacity is limited as there are 6 grills inside. Each grill can be used by at most 2 people. Unlike other food joints in Japan where guests leave in 30 mins or so after finishing their meal, here it can take an hour. So this means be mindful on how long is your queue outside as you might be waiting for a while.

Awesome service with fresh meats and standing while eating is fun! Service staff and chefs are all smiley and friendly. Great concept and while you are cooking your meats, have one of their strong lemon sour. Washes down the heat and refreshes your palette while you go for another round of meats. Just listen to their recommendations if you have no idea. Just trust.

Food OK. Expected to be good given the reviews. But not all the selection was good. 35% was chewy and rubbery. The rest was good. Number of reviews - came primarily from good location. Service - hot green tea wasn't hot. Had to tell them to make it hot. For ¥300, it has to be hot - a tiny request. Then they serve you the cup, expecting you to hold the HOT part of the cup, while they hold the rim (cold part). What service??? Atmosphere - good, if you like standing! I paid ¥4,000 per pax, so I want to sit. Not impressed - more like a novelty.

This is a standing restaurant without chair. Small place and ventilation may not be good. Food wise not the very best but ok. Like other commended some are without any fat.

The meat was to die for! Melt in the mouth and absolutely divine. We got the $65 set and thought it was well worth it and added on some aka-carte A5 beef. The standing part was a fun experience and we will definitely come back!

Absolutely in love with this place. Randomly walked in here looking for Yakiniku place in the area. It’s a standing restaurant so there is no chair. The restaurant itself is very small so I don’t recommend it for big group or family with small children. However if you want really good quality A5(and 4) beef in very reasonable price for quick lunch/dinner, highly highly recommended. The service is super nice too. I will definitely go back again.

I have to confess, that they offer a free drink for this review. But this only increase to my incentives to write a review, it will not compromise my rating. After all the free drink was green tea, how much value can you add to a glass of green tea. This restaurant is a very interesting Japanese BBQ experience. First of all, they don't offer menu in other languages, but you can easily navigate around. Because I menu is right in front of you. You will pick your selection of beef or pork and by just pointing at them. Secondly, you will able to grill your own meat. There are a small grill in front of you, and you can add your own seasoning. Even if they offered the best quality of meat , you have to know how to grill it right. So, before you come here practice your BBQ skill, or watch YouTube and pretend you mastered it. The price of meat in the restaurant is certainly reasonable, after all you are getting selection of A5/A4 beef for under 2000 (the price is by slice) . So if you are short on cash but wanna try the best beef, and you are in Japan. I definitely recommend this place. P.S. It is a standing restaurant, and it is quite small. So have your shoes ready.

Went in at a timing where there's no queue. Ordered the 20 pieces platter for 2 pax for about 6200 yen. Rice and others not included. Wagyu was great! The waiter was nice, he had his own booklet with English translation to communicate with his customer. Only downside to bbq is the smell that lingers on you after eating. Otherwise perfect!

Had a great experience at this restaurant! It's a standing, self-grilling place. Myself and fiance were celebrating so we went for the largest potion for us to share and also ordered 6 more individual slices we wanted to try. Every single piece of meat was delicious! Definitely order a side of rice to eat along with the meat. Definitely will be visiting this place again! Service was great and really friendly!

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. The staff here are so friendly! The cuts of wagyu meat are fantastic! And the line to eat here is worth the wait. It’s great if you’re planning to eat in pairs or just by yourself.

We are here for lunch and it was amazing. We hadn’t had Japanese BBQ yet and it was so fun to cook your own meats on a grill. My husband and I shared the 15 piece meat set and rice for lunch and it was very filling. I loved all the sauces and salt we could mix to make the perfect sauce. The price was awesome for 2 people, I would definitely recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner.

Location: Under the train track. City center. Tight spaces like any other place in the usual tokyo Service : We were early but they show us to our seat quickly and food arrived promptly too. No stress of time limitation and Andy was personable despite peak period. Food: Andy suggested to take fresh king crab instead of frozen crab. Good recommendation. Fresh seafood.

Super amazing food! Prices are super affordable and the quality of the sashimi was great. The atmosphere was also very nice and the location was easy to find. They had English menus but it didn't detract from the local experience.

We turned up early and so we waltzed in with no reservation. It is very casual and a little cramped but very charming. Andy is English and attracts a mixed crowd of locals and tourists. He goes to the market every day and the fish is super fresh. We had some wonderful chili prawns, tempura, whole red snapper, wonderful swordfish and the crowning glory which was the tuna jaw ( highly recommended as the meat is very rich). The food was awesome. Beer and wine are available. Prices are reasonable. I would heavily recommend this restaurant

As a fellow Andy, this place seemed like a great place to eat and dine in at. There are two floors and we had to be corralled to the right location as the too floor was reserved for a party. On the main floor we were helped by the staff who were all so welcoming and accommodating. They even had an English menu in hand even if all the other clients were Japanese. The atmosphere was very nice and vintage-like with a rustic vibe to it, so having drunk business folk around us really made our night! When the food came out it smelled amazing. We ordered: Mushrooms, Prawns, Salmon, and Kaarage. It tasted amazing and they were quite large in portion sizes for the price. I recommend to ask the staff their recommendations because we ordered everything based on their advice!

A fabulous experience. I've been living in Japan for 31 years, but this may have been the best sashimi I've eaten yet. Great value, a fun atmosphere, handy bilingual service.

Great host, great service, just an all-around 5* experience! Turned up at 10pm on a Wednesday night, to find the restaurant busy but no line. Offered a drink immediately and seated. Ordered the chilli prawns, scallops, gyoza chicken wings, tempura and fish and chips... This isn’t your usual Japanese restaurant though with small portions - big plates and the prawns and scallops were the biggest I’ve ever had... so fresh and tasty! Gyoza chicken wings are worth a try and the fried chicken got rave reviews (not is, the table next to us!), but don’t over-order or you won’t finish! Thanks Andy, great meal with brilliant service (and the rugby on TV!), hopefully see you again!

Low key izakaya with tasty food! I choose this place since I was looking for an izakaya that was English friendly. The staff here are efficient and courteous. There was an English menu as well as drink and food specials, including fish and chips served with ketchup and malt vinegar! The sashimi we had was delicious as any sushi place we’ve tried and I also loved the gyoza stuffed chicken wings. Very fun and lively atmosphere with a mix of local businessmen and travelers. There was enough room for groups as there were many coworkers meeting there for after work drinks.

Wonderful dinner. Took our guests out for something special. Great choice. Andy looked after the dinner details. Place is like a movie set.
