I loved the different areas of Millennium Park. Cloud Gate was so interesting. My favorite part was inside, looking up at the middle. Downtown Chicago has so many amazing outdoor spaces. The architecture is beautiful and I love how art is sprinkled throughout the city. If you want to get pictures with less people there, you'd probably have to go very early in the morning. I was here in the middle of May, in the middle of the day, during the week and it was busy as if it were the weekend.

First visit to Chicago. It was a beautiful fall day and the weather was amazing. The natural foliage and the landscaping were breathtaking. It was so much to see and appreciate. Walking into this park centered within the city is perfection. A must see!

It's a cool park to walk through to see some cool pieces of art/sculpture. They have security art the entrance, making sure you are not bringing anything illegal in. We really wanted to see "the bean" (Cloud Gate), but it was fenced off for some maintenance. There were still tons of people trying to take pictures.

If you're going to Chicago, then you definitely need to stop by Millennium Park and visit Cloud Gate (The Bean). It's such an amazing place to visit and spend an afternoon walking around the park or simply have nice picnic. Great atmosphere! Highly recommend it.

Millennium Park in downtown Chicago is a world class park with amusement and cultural service facilities for the visitors. At the heart of downtown Chicago, the Millennium Park is a jewel of Emerald. Surrounded by tall skyscrapers and Victorian palaces, the park is a very good piece of Nature in a busy metropolis. The park had some famous landmarks like the Cloud Gate (popularly known as "The Bean"), the Crown Fountain, the Millennium Monument etc. There are food stalls serving a variety of cuisines. Restroom facility is also there. Parking spaces for cars are available nearby. Art Institute of Chicago is nearby. The crowd becomes heavy on weekends and during holidays.

Millennium Park is the BEST park of Chicago and is a MUST visit place, when visiting Chicago. We visited this park back in 2019 when we visited Chicago and spent a whole day exploring this park. You would love the views of Historic downtown Chicago from this park. The cloud gate (a large steel shaped bean looking architecture) is also located on this park.

Beautiful place!!! You can spent so much time taking pictures around the bean but we also enjoyed the ice skaters. It was not too cold so we could spend quite a while around. Lots of nice places close too.

This park is a beautiful spot in downtown Chicago, where you can enjoy the greenery and the skyline view. Although there is a security check before entering, it is worth the wait. This is a great place to hang out with friends or family. If you are looking for a scenic spot to enjoy the city, you can see the beautiful Chicago skyline from this place.

The Bean was in our sights as a "must see" on this trip to Chicago. It did not disappoint. We discovered how beautiful the Millennium and outskirts of the city was as we walked for hours in shear awe. While it was raining, the umbrella kept us semi dry. The smiles, laughter and happiness of people finally being able to be out and together again, is exactly what COVID took away. It feels good. We will return.

A must visit park while in the Chicago area. It’s a close walking distance from the iconic River walk and it’s right on the Michigan Avenue, just south of the river. It’s a quiet park, considering the hustle and bustle of the downtown. The park is very well maintained and has a few entrances, controlled by security throughout. You can easily spend 2-4 hours in the park, depending on what you want to do here. There are also regular events held here at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, one of the premier outdoor Amphitheaters, so that will have to factor in. It’s free entrance to the park itself. You will see ‘The Bean’ work of public art here. The sculpture, which is officially titled Cloud Gate, is one of the world’s largest permanent outdoor art installations, currently undergoing some construction work. Lake Michigan is just a few minutes away from this park and so is the Chicago River. If you took the hop on hop off bus tour, there is a stop at this park as well.

Forever captivated by the beauty and history encapsulated in the Art Institute. Not a place to visit too often as the gallery is largely full of permanent installations, but there is always some sort of special exhibition/gallery taking place when they are open. Entire building is extremely clean with staff and maps scattered around in order to make your experience more enjoyable. Many famous works that one recognizes from pop culture or past studies are able to be seen here. One of the top art museums in the world and an undeniable staple in Chicago’s history. Do not miss out on viewing everything it has to offer.

What else is left to say about this incredible museum, which houses so much of the world's amazing art and history? Even people who aren't art buffs will find something to appreciate here (or at least something familiar!). My only gripe about my visit was the extremely long line for the coat check. The staff were working hard to move it along, but we still incurred about a thirty minute wait at drop-off and then again at pick-up during our March visit. Try to avoid checking anything if you can, so you can get in and enjoy the museum.

Amazing art museum that is 100% well worth the visit. It holds everything from ancient Egyptian artifacts and mummies to modern American paintings like American Gothic and Nighthawks. You can easily spend more than 3 hours here. I would highly recommend visiting.

An absolutely amazing art museum and a must see of Chicago. I visited on a Monday morning which had significantly less crowds than the weekends. Entry was quick and easy and I saved on tickets by using the Citipass. Keep in mind tickets for non residents are more expensive. The entry way is beautiful and it's very easy to navigate around the museum due to the signage and provided maps. I especially like that there is a list of must sees on the back of the map for those who only have a short amount of time to visit like I did. My favorite areas were probably the Impressionists and Ancient Egyptian pieces. The layout is easy to navigate and separated in distinct periods that makes sense, nothing detracts from the pieces themselves, and it's overall an amazing experience. I can't wait to revisit with plenty of time to thoroughly explore all the exhibits. As for accessibility: there were plenty of wide open spaces and wide open doors for wheelchairs/walkers/etc. to navigate through. There are handicap accessible ramps into the buildings as well as elevators to reach the different floors. It is so famous that I had expected the exhibit to be as informative and comprehensive as the British Museum or the Metropolitan. That might be too challenging. The display in each section is lack of clear plot/storyline, by which I mean the items are like various bread slices in a basket, correlated but not unable to compose a full piece. I understand this is an art museum, so the explanation notes mainly focus on art perspective. Still, for visitors who might come from different backgrounds, the museum could have done a better job of interpretation.

This is a stunning collection of artwork from so many famous painters and sculptors. The price is a bit high ($32/adult), but children 13 and under are free. The building felt like a maze at times and there were alarms constantly going off as people stood too close to artwork. Despite those minor inconveniences, this remains one of my favorite art museums!

My first time attending as an adult, I had a much bigger appreciation for the arts now versus as a kid. It was absolutely breathtaking, and we didn't get to see everything!! We were there for 3 hours and were amazed at all the pieces located here. I would wholeheartedly come back and make it an entire day. I felt like a tourist in my own city.

Beautiful building filled with beautiful paintings. I especially enjoyed the Monet collection. I thought I would be taken by the lilies, but wheat piles just took me to another dimension, and i was sober, alright ;). I also liked Van Gogh and other impressionists. The collection of eastern ceramics and wall paintings was also impressive. We stopped by only for few hours, so we didn't see everything, but i definitely plan to come back ;).

This place is immense and worth every penny of the admission fee. See some highlights like American Gothic or that famous Seurat painting at the park you recognize from studying pointillism back in school. But don’t miss some hidden gems: creepy Goya etchings from 1800s Spain, the picture of Dorian Gray from the 1945 film, and a fascinating collection of miniature rooms that look ready for Stuart Little to move in. They also have a very wide range of Picasso styles collected under one roof and the impressionism section truly is a must-see!

The Art Institute of Chicago is situated right in the heart of the city, next to Millennium Park. Its central location makes it convenient to access, but be prepared for weekend crowds and potential parking challenges. Inside, the museum offers a diverse array of exhibits from around the world, including renowned works like Van Gogh’s masterpieces. A treasure for art enthusiasts. For those who may not be expert level art lovers, the visit can be short(30-40min) However, it’s still a worthwhile experience

This is one of the most iconic places to visit while in Chicago! It is amazing how smooth and reflective it is being so enormous! We went on a Monday afternoon in March, but it was still very busy. We were still able to get a few great pictures! Parking is kinda complicated at first, but not too bad. It is all underground, and there are very few signs to tell you where to go (this seems like a very common thread for Chicago). The only signs once you park just say, “Pedestrian Exit”. It is a bit of a walk, so wear good shoes.

An iconic location for Chicago visit. It’s always packed with tourist. You just have to wait your turn to get your spot. Forewarning, just pick the day without rain and pictures will turn out great. I think selfie stick is a must for this location. The park is clean and well maintained by law enforcement. Parking is challenging for sure. Recommended public transportation.

Cloud Gate, I've been calling it 'The Bean' all week. I would definitely recommend visiting this piece of art when you're in Chicago. My partner and I didn't expect much to be honest. My partner said its just a mirrored bean. But it's actually pretty cool and very large. It's great on a sunny day to see the sun's reflection along with the sky and buildings and makes for some awesome photos. Head to the Bean you won't be disappointed!

The Bean is a pretty neat experience. A giant chrome coffee bean. Some days it is very crowded. The underside of the bean has some very interesting visual reflections. The absolute center has the only flat mirror portion. If you are in Chicago or plan to visit. I suggest checking it out. There is also some old buildings across the street. We liked looking at the buildings as much as the Bean.

An icon of Chicago not to be missed! You've seen it in movies and shows, and it looks just as spectacular and intriguing in person. I recommend being there before 8am to get almost unblocked (by people) views and photos. Every angle is different and unique in its own way, so take your time to take lots of postcard worthy pictures.

One of the best architecture pieces in Chicago. As being over the best architecture city in the world this sculpture makes Chicago even more beautiful. As I was studying in Chicago I visited this place many times and in all different seasons during different times of the day. Every time it looks more beautiful and every time you visit this place you'd fall in love with this again. One day I also decided in freezing winter to do small bike trip here and you might see that in one of the photos 😛. If you want to do that that is the only time you can see this place with very few people 😅. I will surely recommend this place.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Cloud Gate, also known as "The Bean," in Chicago's Millennium Park. As I approached the sculpture, I was immediately struck by its size and reflective surface. The stainless steel surface of the sculpture seemed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding architecture and the sky above. As I walked around the sculpture, I was amazed by the different perspectives it offered. From one angle, the sculpture appeared to be a giant, shiny mirror, reflecting the surrounding buildings and sky. From another angle, it seemed to be a giant, abstract sculpture, with curves and contours that seemed to defy gravity. One of the most interesting aspects of the sculpture was the way it interacted with the people around it. Children were running around and playing, while adults were taking photos and admiring the sculpture. It was fascinating to watch the different ways that people were interacting with the sculpture and how it seemed to bring people together in a shared experience. As I was leaving, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and inspiration. Cloud Gate was not just a sculpture, but a work of art that had the power to evoke emotion and connect people in a unique way. I left feeling grateful for the opportunity to experience such a beautiful and thought-provoking piece of art.

This enormous bean shaped structure is made of steel and extremely smooth and reflective. So reflective that you could see the reflection of your facial features on it. We visited this place way back when, and absolutely loved it. It's a must visit destination when visiting Chicago. And who can forget those stunning views of downtown Chicago.

The Bean (Officially "Cloud Gate") is a large outdoor public work of art, situated in the Millennium Park of downtown Chicago. Though it's official name is the "Cloud Gate", it is popularly called "The Bean" due to its bean-like shape. It's exterior is highly polished and smooth, and is like a huge elongated convex metal mirror. It was built by Anish Kapoor, an India-born British sculptor who is famous for large outdoor art structures. It was unveiled in 2004, and very quickly became a very important tourist attraction in Chicago. It is 66 feet long, 42 feet wide and 33 feet tall, and weighs 110 tonnes. The exterior of the Bean is composed of 168 pieces of stainless steel plates which are seamlessly welded together. The Bean's surfaces are actually metallic mirrors, and they reflect the surroundings clearly. It is really an awesome sight to view the reflections of the sky and clouds and the skyscrapers surrounding it. People are allowed to touch it, and at all times a huge number of people gather around it to see and photograph their own images as reflected on its surface. It has become the most well-known iconic art structure of Chicago.

I passed by a few times throughout the year. Winters and Summers are vibrant there. I couldn't tell you what the purpose of this mirrored bean is. And for some reason I never researched it. But its cool to go and look and make your own interpretation of it. Maybe, ask others what their thoughts on it is. There's other thought provoking public art installations to see nearby along water front. Visit during the night and day.

Absolutely exhilarating though I backed onto the ledge and didn't look down! We went during golden hour though I think the lighting for pictures would've been best at dusk or night. The weather was perfect on Saturday so we could see for miles! The staff was really nice and directed us to the shortest line! I think it's great that there's a time limit for everyone and that you're able to get back into line if you want to take another look or get more pictures! We only waited about 15 minutes each time, and went up on the ledge twice. The gallery preceding the elevator to the 103rd floor was really informative and taught me a lot I didn't already know about Chicago or other tall buildings. The money is totally worth it! Get tickets ahead of time!!!

Everyone should experience Chicago from the top as well as from the river and the neighborhoods. We really enjoyed the exhibit leading to the lookout, too. Some in our group stepped out onto the glass ledge very reluctantly, but all enjoyed mastering the challenge. The views were breathtaking.

Had a blast and if you take your time in the history/ picture taking part you can easily spend an hour inside making it worth the price. The view is also beautiful allowing for views one every side of the building and making the price of $39 worth it. Definitely a fun experience to do while in Chicago!

Such a stunning experience. Although for standing in a deck and clicking some stunning photos is a task as they gave a short time so it’s recommended to go with just 2 people at a time so that you can get a decent picture in a short time. Although there are places where you can get a great view to capture yourself. Also sunset is perfect time as you can see both day and night views.

Super attraction! Fortunately it was not very busy. Got to the 103rd floor pretty quickly. Stepping onto the viewing "box" can be a challenge if you are leary of heights. Great views on a clear day. We had a smokey view from the Canadian fires. Highly recommend this place!

Very nice place to check out. The views are incredible! Better management is needed, though, on how much time people can spend taking pictures. The time clock doesn't work for all groups who are there to enjoy the place.

It is one of the very touristy things to do just to say that you've done it. We went in the morning and were able to get through it pretty quick as there weren't that many people there yet. The elevator ride was cool as it lists how tall the building is compared to the others in the world. The view from the top was pretty good as it was a clear day. For the Ledge part, you have 90 seconds to take your photo before being ushered out, so plan accordingly on how you want to take your photos. You can also purchase the pre-set photos that they take for you in the beginning and also at the ledge.

Great views of the city and beyond, weather permitting. They have fun informational displays to wander through before you go up, and lots of space up top. The glass ledge is a hit with nearly all visitors. Gave me a touch of vertigo. Staff was professional and polite.

I came here during the week at about 1pm on a Monday mid May and there really wasn’t too much of a wait. I purchased our tickets online as we entered the building. Honestly, I had not been to the tower in about 3 years, there was obviously major renovations to the basement where you board the elevator to the Skydeck. ( Which really improved aspects of visiting the Willis tower) There was such cool decor and interactive features you could take photos next to. I particularly enjoyed the walk towards the elevators. You get up there fairly fast, so remember to bring some chewing gum for your ears. But once you’re up there it is absolutely spectacular. My favorite part was veering over the side that faces the lake. It was so beautiful, honestly who knew there were so many different shades of blue out there in Lake Michigan. My kids loved the opposite side that faces the city view because that’s where you get to stand on the glass ledge and see the city below you. You get about 2 full minutes to stand in the glass box they stick you in. You can take your own photos and you also have the option to purchase a photo they snap of you once you’re in there. They sell pretty gifts there but they are very pricy so don’t forget your loot. Absolutely highly recommend stopping at this Major Chicago Gem.

Absolutely breathtaking experience. The sights from the top height is exhilarating yet beautiful. It’s an amazing view and standing by the ledge is a little scary but worth the photos. This is definitely a must see if you’re coming to Chicago!

Always enjoy my trips to Chicago. This was my first visit to the SkyDeck. Absolutely fabulous! Terrific view of Chicago City ! Visited on weekend on Saturday ! Waiting time for lift was around half an hour ! Supporting staffs and good restaurants ! really enjoyed it 😃 Lot of points to take pictures ! I think they overpriced for photos ! If they cut it to half, most of the tourist would probably take it 😎

Breathtaking experience with ledge and 360 degree panoramic views of Chicago. The path the leads to elevator is modernized and you can spend easily 30 minutes exploring things even before you go to the Sky deck. There are many food courts and several other amenities in this tower.

Ferris wheel was very fun. There were other carnival ride options as well. Great food options too!. Great options for boat tours. We had kids and did a quick 40 min boat tour. Overall, navy pier seems to amaze me everything I go. Been going since I was a kid and was able to share this with my kids for the first time.

We arrived as storms were rolling in, so our visit was cut short. It was still a nice area full of dining, shopping, and entertainment. We enjoyed watching the boats along Lake Michigan and taking in stunning views of the city. Finding affordable parking was a challenge.

Great place to enjoy and admire the skyline of Chicago. Navy Pier has many attractions, but the main one is the wheel which lets you observe the city from a high altitude and without any crowds. The stores inside are really good. There are plenty of restaurants of different kinds and different stores. Walking outside makes you feel why Chicago is called the Windy City.

Gorgeous place! We didn't realize how big it is, and how many shops there are! We came for the "Light up the Lake Event". It was awesome! Indoor so no worries about weather. The pier is free, but would definitely buy tickets in advance for the lights. We rode the ferris wheel and it was so much fun! The view is gorgeous!

We rode some rides and went through the fun house. Tip: one of the mirrors is a door in the mirror maze. It took us forever to get out. Lol We wanted to take a boat cruise but we want to wait for some of the smoke from Canada to go away so we can see the beautiful skyline better. When my girls were small we went to the children's museum and that was really fun. Navy Pier is a must see when visiting Chicago.

Wonderful views of Chicago. I recommend going in the morning or afternoon when it is less crowded. This is a peak place to cut out of work for. You can just sit around and think about the world and how beautiful life is. This is one of the great gems of the city of Chicago. It is a tourist trap but one you don't mind getting trapped in. Look at all the sick pics of my friends.

Beautiful in the day time and even more beautiful at night. We visited on the weekend and it’s a place for everyone to walk, hangout, eat, relax, ride the Ferris wheel and lots to do. It gets packed and busy but fun for sure. I recommend this place.. one of the must visit in Chicago places. Fire work show was awesome as well it was not a disappointment. Was worth staying there till 10pm.

Beautiful pier--day or night. I love how it's connected to inner-city paths and walkways. There's a good variety of restaurants, bars, and shops all along the pier as well as excursions. Great place for a stroll!

Navy Pier offers fun attractions for both kids and adults, making it a family-friendly destination. The area is clean, walkable, and home to numerous restaurants. While it can get crowded, booking tickets online in advance helps save time and ensures a smoother experience. The ferris wheel ride is a must-do experience, especially during sunset when the scenery becomes even more captivating.

This was a great time, we started as strangers and ended up as good friends. The ride even though a tourist thing to do was filled with locals. The tour guide we got was speaking very fast, and most of the facts we missed but the scenery and buildings were great. This was a great time. The skyline is something to see .. Enjoy !!!

Lovely restaurant with delicious food. I loved how each item in the menu had a recommended wine pairing guideline. The Crispy Pigs Ear is an absolute must. The kale was perfectly flaky and crispy. **tip: ask for less salt as it was slightly on the saltier side** Mushrooms 3 Ways was amazing too. If you love mushrooms, this dish will not disappoint!! However, the Pork Shoulder was quite disappointing. I think the first two dishes definitely increased our expectations but the pork shoulder just missed the mark all together. We got a pork dish because of the name of the restaurant… but it was just underwhelming. The meat was very salty and it wasn’t warm for every bite. But other than that, we had a lovely time and the other two dishes really made up for it.

Went for the first time and went back the next day! The whipped feta was amazing with heaps of cheese for the delicious oiled up bread. The pastas were oozy and flavorful, though smaller portions than the average restaurant. The pork we got was tender and delicious. Drinks were on par with other places in the city. We enjoyed that the menu items had wine recommendations we could follow. Jaime was a fantastic bartender - very attentive and provided recommendations. The table staff was impeccable at replacing and removing plates and refilling water!

I try to come back here every time I visit and it's one of my favorite places. Everything is so well done and absolutely delicious. You almost can't go wrong with literally anything on the menu. Walk ins for 2 aren't too hard to get but I'd recommend a reservation if you want to guarantee you don't have to wait long. This most recent time I went the ravioletto was PERFECT and my favorite thing I've eaten in a while. Just really good soft pasta with a nice molten gooey cheese. Make sure to take your typical cheese ooze video when you first cut into it. Food: 10/10 Service: 8/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Value: 6/10

We had called in the morning to make a reservation for dinner, which was a good call because they get busy. Once we put our order in, the drinks and food came promptly. Each dish came out delicious with perfect timing, and had a perfect balance of flavor. Honestly, the “worst” thing there was the dessert we got (raspberry cheesecake) which had a lot of overwhelming flavors, but all the main appetizers/dishes we ordered: no complaints. We had a table of 5, 4 of us ordered drinks, and we had 10 dishes + 1 dessert to be full. Service was wonderful and I would definitely come back.

I was blown away by my experience here. How can a dish under the "Vegetables" section titled something as simple as, "Salt Roasted Beets" be my favorite menu item? It was FANTASTIC. I will never forget how perfectly the whipped goat cheese went with the beets and how the pistachio butter somehow made the perfect complement to the meal. For this dish alone i would fly back to Chicago. If that weren't enough, the pasta was also fantastic. Such a hearty serving of the fresh house made pasta too! I couldn't finish it because of course i had to try a dessert to really embrace the full experience. I paired both of my courses with a wine recommended by the bartender and it all went together perfectly. Will definitely be back in the future!

Very delicious restaurant. We sat at the kitchen counter and saw the cooks which was a fun experience. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered mussels, pork ribs, and a goat cheese salad. Every item was delicious in it's own way. If recommend everyone getting some of those ribs! We will definitely make sure to come back here in the near future!

I have not been to this new location of the restaurant since it moved, so here I am. I was glad about the new space as it is wider and can contain more people without being overly crowded. There was a nice operational change that purple pig takes reservation via Tock now. This is a huge improvement since in the past it was first come first serve and wait time was always around 2 hours. The waiter suggested 3-4 dishes between two people, so we got the crispy pork ear as appetizer, pork shoulder and half duck as entry, and eventually latte and Sicilian iris as desert. The food was quite extraordinary. Crispy pig ear was certainly innovative and fun to start with, pork should is super comforting, the half duck impressed me and the portion was generous, and finally the Sicilian Iris was rich and delightful. The only disappointment was the latte, I think their espresso did not have a good quality, and therefore the coffee tasted badly. I guess people can’t expect too much from a cup of dessert coffee that only costs $5, but if a restaurant like this has anything on the menu, they should consider about the quality . One odd thing I noticed during the visit was that several individuals from the big group next to us were standing on the seat and tried to see something outside of the window. Their waiter or any staff seemed not making an attempt to check on them or even stop them. I am not sure if that because everyone was occupied at that time, but it was slightly disturbing to other customers. In general the visit was good. The price tag was certainly high, $40-60 per person without drink, so I recommend the restaurant for special occasions.

This was an excellent choice for a coworker and I. We would completely come again to try more things on the menu. Excellent by glass wine menu. Bone marrow is well executed. Beets as the salad dish complemented well by the pistachios and goat cheese foam. The octopus with grilled vegetables was very well done. Foodies will be very at home here. We got chef bar seating and were fascinated what the cooks were making.

Great Italian food! Fried calamari was well seasoned and fried perfectly! Pizza had a great combination of cheeses and crust had a perfect chew. The spinach stuffed ricotta and tomato was fresh and simply delicious! The olive oil cake and lemon sorbet was a great end to a great meal! A little longer than expected, but we ordered from different places.

Had a delicious dinner at Eataly! Now, the upstairs is one giant pizza/pasta eatery instead of a bunch of smaller eateries (they used to have a seafood place & a little beer bar). We enjoyed everything we ordered & all the dishes were freish & executed well. Service from Joel was excellent. We got the fried calamari & shrimp (delish), the fried chicken & the veal stuffed pasta. I also got a couple of desserts to go from the first floor cafe. Such a fun place to shop & eat!

Yes, you should definitely check out Eataly. A “don’t miss spot” when in the area. Walking through the store is an adventure in itself. Check out the beautiful meat, seafood and cheese cases. I wish I took more pictures! Buy a loaf of amazing, fresh bread! Try the pizza! The coffee! The gelato! Try it all! My only complaint is that there aren’t cashiers at the grocery check out. I can’t stand having to do self check out if I don’t want to. It also bugs me that they don’t accept cash. Other than those 2 service issues- Eataly is a blast!

I didn’t eat here. The wine experience and the sheer volume of Italian goods were incredible. We chose to guess the wine and enjoyed the bottles tried. We weren’t successful, but we were close and we enjoyed the company. The server was very kind, patient, and funny. We enjoyed ourselves greatly. Thanks so much.

I always make it a point to visit Chicago’s Eataly for any city trips. Always go for their always fresh bread baked on site. Get some great imported wine, and some cheese, especially the mozzarella which they ALSO make on site daily. The ambiance of this place is also truly special. Walking around and seeing all these amazing ingredients. Worth your time and money.

We had multiple amazing meals here and great shopping too. I ordered a cream paste with prosciutto. It was amazing! I'm lactose intolerant and knew I would pay for it but it was worth it (TMI. . .) it was amazing. My daughter ordered a very simple pasta with red sauce but was delicious. The pasta was fresh and delicious.

I love going to Eataly any chance I get! From the good food, to all of the wonderful imported items you can get, everything is absolutely fantastic. There are usually samples of meats and cheeses, as well as things like wine and all kinds of goodies from Italy! There's validated parking at the Parking Garage across the street, but it's only good for about an hour, so be sure to keep track of the time.

This is my second time eating at Eataly now bringing Chicago visitors and it was just as good the second time! The food, vibe, and service were all wonderful! We ate in the Pizza and Pasta section and ordered 4 different kinds of pastas. My personal favorites were the ones without pomodoro/tomato base with the gnocchi with pasta being my number 1.

Wednesday is a busy night at the restaurant. It took a while for our order, then for dessert and the bill. The bruschetta was wonderful with zucchini and fresh ricotta. The mushroom papardelle were cooked perfectly, the seafood pasta needed another minute to cook, very few shellfish for the price. We tried the olive oil cake, which was good. Pricey, I'm not sure I'd return as I didn't love it.

We love this place… You could literally spend a whole day there! They have groceries from fresh produce to seafood to cheese and all kinds of bakery items. They also have a bar, several restaurants, café, pastries, and dessert, bar, and many other things. They have a wine cart on weekends where you can order a glass of wine to drink while you peruse the amazing selection of the store. You could actually get everything you need for a home-cooked meal here.

We picked this spot for proximity to our hotel and stellar reviews. We had about a 30 minute wait at 11:45am on a chilly Saturday morning. There is no where inside to wait so dress warm! Once we were sat our server took great care of us and the food came out quickly! The ham and cheese egg scramble was so good with the off the bone ham adding great flavor and the eggs cooked beautifully. The signature pancakes were fluffy and yummy as well. The hot chocolate was average at best but not what we came for anyway. The location is also right by the park for your popular tourist photo ops. What a great stop on a visit to Chicago!

Amazing breakfast foods. It's a little pricey, but it's worth the amount of food and the experience. If visiting Chicago with kids, this place is a must. Atmosphere is organized chaos, but our server and overall service from the staff were excellent. Kids silver dollar pancakes, 2 egg breakfast and cookie dough waffle.

Okay, so let me tell you about this place. It's busy. I mean, seriously busy! I dedicated a solid two days to trying to get a table here, and let me tell you, it was no easy feat. But hey, on the second day, I finally managed to snag one, after enduring a wait that could be considered tolerable if you're okay with waiting for an hour and 15 minutes. But here's the thing, once we got in, things started looking up. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. She was friendly, attentive, and brought our food out to us super fast. And let me tell you, the food was worth the wait. It was downright delicious. I couldn't find a single thing to complain about in that department. Now, I do have to mention that the space in this place is a bit tight. You might find yourself rubbing elbows with your fellow diners, and it can get a little claustrophobic. But hey, when the food is this good, you tend to forget about those minor inconveniences. All in all, despite the craziness and the rough wait, it's a good spot. The food is amazing, the service is top-notch, and everyone is courteous. So if you're willing to brave the crowds and wait it out, you won't be disappointed with what you find inside.

Went here for brunch (a party of seven). The food was good, the service was cool the only thing is we were seated outside & them birds & bee's were a nuisance. I had the Brisket Grilled Cheese w/fries. Also pictured are Butcher Block meals (my sister & cousin added gravy to theirs, which they said made it even better) w/pancakes, and one of my other cousin's meal. Everyone liked their food.

I looked up “breakfast” and this one had the most good reviews. I liked it! The service was friendly. I got there right as it opened and a few of the staff members seemed annoyed (it was 7:01 and some guy came out and told me they don’t open till 7? I just felt a bit crazy in that moment), but once I was in it was fabulous. I had the hot chocolate (amazing!!), the signature berry pancakes (also amazing!!), and the chocolate banana pancakes (guess what, amazing!!) The ambiance was inviting and the pancakes nice and fluffy.

My partner and I stopped by for a weekday brunch, and there were a decent amount of people there, but we were still seated without a wait. The space is large, spacious, and was decorated festively for the holidays. The service was very quick, friendly, and attentive. I thought the prices were a little high at first ($21 for my order), but once the food came, I felt it was definitely worth the price: the portions are huge! I ordered the Cauliflower Hash Skillet with the Signature Berry Bliss Pancakes (came with 2 thick pancakes), and both were delicious--the perfect mix of sweet and savory (my absolute favorite combo). The skillet was flavorful and had a great mix of flavors and textures-- the aioli sauce with cheese, veggies, and chicken sausage made for a great combo. The cauliflower hash pieces provided a fresh and unique spin on the traditional potato hash, and offered a nicer texture in my opinion. The eggs were also fluffy and well scrambled. The pancakes were also incredible; I don't have pancakes often, but these are definitely the best I've had. They were super soft and moist and the sauces on it were so delicious without being overly sweet. I feel like I could eat so many of these without ever getting sick of them. My partner got the Garden Skillet with Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes and enjoyed it too! He liked the pancakes much better than the Garden Skillet though, which he felt was pretty standard, nothing special. Overall, I definitely recommend this place-- the price-quantity-quality ratio is super solid! They don't take reservations and it usually gets quite crowded on popular weekend times, so aim to go on weekdays / off-peak times!

This place was very busy and close to full on a Thursday morning which was a good metric for it. Service was quick and friendly. The portions were very large and I'd say that one order can fulfill two customers. I had the corn beef platter and it was great, full of flavor. My suggestion, better to come here hungry

This is a great place for breakfast. The dishes are pretty, delicious and HUGE! The service is amazing, they have a lot of people working, so it works really well. It’s pricey, but it’s worth it to splurge at least once during your trip, or sometimes on weekends for the locals.

Grabbed breakfast for take out & ate across the street at the park. Super packed on Mother’s Day but we were able to get our order quickly. All items were fresh & I really liked pork sausage omelet called espenola I believe. Amazing. Will be back!

A friend from out of town chose this restaurant. We received a warm greeting when we arrived and we were immediately seated. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and quite personable. I ordered the corned beef hash, upgraded specialty berries pancakes without the vanilla sauce, and a side of fresh fruit. I also ordered a hot caramel latte. I must say the food was absolutely phenomenal. My friend enjoyed her food as well. Also, the prices are quite reasonable. I will definitely be making this my go-to breakfast spot.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in Chicago! Our waitress (forgot her name) was wonderful and so passionate about her work. We started with appetizers of jumbo shrimp and fried calamari which was wow! The other servers brought us hot towels to wipe our hands throughout the night and kept topping our water which was just impeccable service. My Main was grilled fish platter and steamed asparagus and my boyfriend got the fish pasta and lobster Mac n cheese! Superb! Some of the best food I’ve ever had. To our pleasant surprise our waitress brought a free chocolate brownie with a candle for my boyfriend for his birthday and I got a free key lime pie cause it was my first time there! Been to lots of so called top tier restaurants in Chicago but this place takes top spot cause our dinner was fantastic, attentive services, great music not too loud that you couldn’t have a conversation, good ambiance in your own little booth and an alright evening! Just an amazing birthday dinner and I can’t wait to come back!

This was our first time here. Everything was perfect, and we will be going back. The steak was perfectly cooked, better than expected. The fried chicken, oh, that chicken chicken, our son, was not saying a word while eating it. The king crabs were fresh and tasty. Oysters were superb. Everything that we asked for our waiter, Bob, had the perfect answer for us.

This place is an absolute gem. Everything was 5 stars from the food to the service. I don't think I've had better steak or seafood in my life and our server was so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable - he really made the night special for us.

This steak was GREAT! I've been to steak houses in Chicago, and this was the absolute best. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our server was the best. She was professional and very courteous. This was a birthday gift for my wife and the fact that she finished her steak, told me that she loved it (she's not a steak eater). I would go there again in a heartbeat! Try it if you're in Chicago!!!

I 100% recommend checking Joe’s out! The food and atmosphere was 10/10. The service was also amazing. By far the best calamari I have ever had. It was delicate and perfectly fried. The stuffed mushrooms were to die for! Honestly, everything was absolutely perfect. If you’re in Chicago, I recommend making reservations and going here!

Best Key Lime pie in Chicago. The Shrimp Poorboys were delicious! Seafood is always on point. Service is excellent. Happy Hour gets the best value for lunch. Monday- Friday 2 - 4pm

First time back in well over a decade and they have not missed a beat. Still one of the absolute best steak houses in the country. Spent nearly two hours under the expert and perfect attention of Michelle C. The food was excellent. The desserts were excellent. The service was excellent. The price was reasonable for a high end steak house. Extremely highly recommended. A must do if you are in Chicago. When we go back, and we will, Michelle is going to be a must-have. Can't rave about her enough.

Incredible experience all around. Our server, Chris S., is a truly phenomenal person. Everyone who works there is very nice - greeting on the way in & saying goodnight on the way out. Food was delicious & I can't recommend the key lime pie enough. Definitely check Joe's out. So much history, comfort, and joy.

Great location. Valet service available, kind and good service. Overall, service is great. Servers keep your glasses filled - water, champagne & wine. This is a must for me to enjoy an evening and focus on my company and not requesting a water refill. So, 5/5 service. Wagyu was cooked perfectly medium rare for me (see photos). Oysters were good. King crab was enough to split and was very good. Although the lettuce looked fresh, I wish it was organic. Vegetables were too salty, did not have the freshest/healthiest options & there were no organic options. Also the cocktails were nothing to write home about. These last two reasons are why this place dropped 1 star. Otherwise, this place was great.

Awesome food, great service. Highly recommend the steak, crab cake (they use no fillers), and the seafood salad - you'll be amazed at the portion. It's not cheap but given the amount of seafood, it's worth the price. Love their bread basket! Rumors have it that they have the best fried chicken in town, even better than Gus's. I tried it during COVID for delivery and it's seasoned well. Didn't get a chance to try it this time. Stone crab claws are at market price. Reservations aren't required but recommended. It's easy to be seated during weekday and weekend lunch time.

We came to this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It is a okay place but we didn’t like the quality of the food for the price we paid. I would give 4 stars to the waitresses and manager’s behavior for being responsive and respectful of changing my wife’s steak after she didn’t like the fact they burnt her steak. Our mushroom felt like it was just opened, and warmed up out of the canned. I liked my white fish entree, but I felt our burger didn’t have much of the taste to it, plus our salad wasn’t fresh at all.

Had a bit of a hiccup at first with the host, but once my party got seated, our server quickly made up for our negative experience at the host stand. The food is amazing! Definitely try the shrimp cocktail, the tender filet mignon, and get as many of the shareable sides as possible. The restaurant is tight, overcrowded and a bit loud, but gives off traditional old school steakhouse vibes and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

What a lovely place! I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, but I never went inside. The weather was perfect so I sat outside and met a couple of local women while I ate. It was peaceful and beautiful and luxurious. The best day ever. Very good steak and Caesar salad. Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent dinner experience. One of the best steaks I have ever had, if not the best. The Chicago Cut steak was incredible; tender, juicy and full of flavor. One advice, if you order dessert, especially the chocolate mousse, it will be foe the entire table. It is huge. Four of us ate and there was still more than half of the cake left.

After living in Chicago for 2 years, I finally got to experience the hype and institution that is Gibsons. I was super excited to try it after passing the restaurant countless times. Service was great from the get go upon our arrival for our reservation at 9 pm. We were seating in the back of the restaurant in this quaint little corner which we loved! Our server, Ryan, quickly greeted us and showed us all of the different cuts of meats. If you come late in the evening like we did, be prepared for the menu to run out of some of the options. We ordered salad, it came out super fast and was one of the best Caesar salads we’ve ever had (not pictured unfortunately). Lobster bisque was to die for- it was insanely creamy and delicious. The cracked pepper on top was such a nice touch! Our steaks came out pretty fast as well. Only complaint was 2 of the steaks were not cooked to the temperature we ordered them at. Our waiter was quick to fix this and even offered to buy us dessert to make up for it. Sides were great as well we loved the mash potatoes and asparagus. Overall 4.6 out of 5 rating. Food and service was excellent, but I really thought there was a missing “wow factor” after hearing the hype behind the restaurant for years.

We visited Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Chicago on a busy night and had a mixed experience. The place was very packed, but we managed to get seats at the bar area, which was first come first serve. The atmosphere was lively and loud, which we enjoyed, and the views of the city at night were beautiful. However, we were disappointed by the food and service. We ordered the top items on the menu, expecting them to be the best, but they were mediocre at best. The lobster bisque was bland, the bread was stale, and the steak was overcooked. The server was not very helpful or friendly, and did not offer any suggestions or recommendations. We expected more from a place that claims to be one of the best steakhouses in Chicago. We felt like we wasted our money and time here. We would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality steakhouse experience.

Definitely don't miss this steakhouse downtown Chicago! The steak was amazingly tender, the Brussels sprouts were roasted to perfection. The salads were fresh and crisp. Great wine/cocktail selection and the service is top notch. I definitely recommend making a reservation.

We are new to Chicago and someone highly recommended Gibson's the day we arrived. As a habitual Google reviews browser, streams of reviews corroborated the recommendation we got and we decided to visit this place for dinner. The place was packed for a weekday evening. I am glad we made a reservation on OpenTable. The concierge guided us to a nice window-side table and we started checking out the menu. To our delight, our server came up shortly and guided us through their selection of cuts. We ordered some wine, a New York strip and a Mignon and waited. The steaks arrived! Simply put, the best steaks I've had so far. The char, the fat texture, the inner warmth and consistency... they were blissful. My wife, who is not a big fan of steaks, declared that for the first time, she absolutely enjoyed one! The sides were elevating the experience a notch up. We ended our dinner with a carrot cake, the cake tasted amazing! The cream cheese icing was very nicely done. A note of the portion size: it's a quarter portion of a three layered cake!!!(we were 2 people there and had to carry 80% of the cake back home with us). Stories aside, Gibsons is an absolute delight of a place to explore very high quality steaks. I'll be back to try other things on their menu soon!

Great place. Seems to be one of the see and be seen restaurant in the area. The food did not disappoint! Steaks and pork chop were delicious. Sides were more than enough to share between 4 (we got mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and sauted mushrooms). Crab cake app was really good but the shrimp cocktail was stellar! I did think the sides were very salty so if you are sensitive to that be aware. Make reservations! We went on a Sunday night with reservations and it was packed. We were seated within minutes of our reservation so no problem for us.

The food and staff are wonderful! Our waiter was Carl and he was a delight. He explained everything so thoroughly. I had the 19oz New York strip. It has. A great sear and flavor. We shared the twice baked potato. No fountain pop. They have Coke, but it comes in a glass bottle. You pay for each bottle no free refills. I would definitely make reservations. Also the salad was good. Lots of ranch dressing on the salad. We went there for my mom's birthday. They knew that because they asked if we were coming in for a special occasion. They never did anything for her. No complementary dessert or birthday signing to her.

Absolutely amazing food, friendly staff and a lively atmosphere. This place was absolutely packed to the brim, but it wasn't overwhelming. The filet mignon with blue cheese and a peppercorn crust was sensational! Only con is the American mule my partner ordered was so insanely sour it was undrinkable. The waiter tool it back with no issue and replaced it with a new drink. 10/10 highly recommend for a fine night out!
