I have been here many times as a child. I am very happy to come with my children and wife. When I told my kids it was the biggest beach, they were ecstatic. When I come to the beach, I always ate the sundal and fish. To enjoy nature we must become children. Many memories come to the mind when the waves of the ocean pass over the feet.

Nice beach but littered and polluted a lot by the visitors. Need to implement plastic ban to preserve the beach and revive its now polluted water to a pristine beach it once was

Marina Beach is situated beside the Bay of Bengal. This beach is a famous landmark of Chennai city and Tamil Nadu as well. The beach is very scenic and windy. The natural atmosphere of this place is marvelous. There is wood made walkway to reach the beach from the road. Which is very helpful for people who do not like to walk on sand. Sea lovers come here and enjoy the beach. The security of this beach is very appreciable! The polices and guards patrol the beach to ensure people's security and warn them not to go to seawater during the low tide. However, people often do not follow the law and throw trash and shattered wine bottles on the sand of the beach. Which is very dangerous for people and harmful for the environment. Authority should take care of this matter.

Marina Beach is one of my favorite places to relax and unwind. The sound of waves crashing against the shore is very calming and the fresh air is invigorating. Beaches are also great for outdoor activities like beach volleyball. The only downside is that it can get pretty crowded on weekends and holidays.

In the market area there are lots of shops where you can buy sea products and food also. Horse riding is available in there. Early morning view is too good with the rising sun . Loved the sunrise from this beach , and first time I saw cleaning the beach with Machine on early morning. I think they cleans the beach on daily.Try to go there early morning or sunset time , also it is a long beach.

Arubathimoovar us one of the famous ritual they perform here at this temple. An absolute divine experience to be here!

One of the best temples in mylapore, I visit this temple whenever I go to Chennai, ancient temple lot of history associated with this temple. Amazing 🤩 Raja gopuram and architecture just superb. Must visit temple when your in Mylapore.

We had a wonderful darshan with our family and kids. No one can say more about this temple. One of the famous landmark in Mylapore and chennai. You can lot of activities happening inside the temple. Bharatanatyam program is one the major highlight. Coming in own vehicle will make parking difficult. So plan accordingly

Divine. Once I visited this place on a hectic evening. It was fully crowded. I had to stand in a huge line and got darshan. It was a great experience and a great relief post that. Those who don't believe in God too must visit the temple once to experience the temple's infrastructure and architecture. It's one of the ancient temples during old times. It's being said that, this is Superstar Rajinikanth's favorite temple of all time. Also he has contributed many to this temple. Well maintained.

Only 3 churches built on tomb of an apostle, structure wise elegant. Although built in grandeur by the Portuguese, we can see the British influence in the current building. Was amazed at the 200 year old pipe organ, classy. Sadly not much effort to protect it, it’s kept open and dusty. There are improvement opportunities, many foreigners visit given their ancestral connection.

This is located in the San Thome area of Chennai close to the coast of the Bay of Bengal and is one of only 3 churches in the world that enshrines the tomb of an apostle and still stands today. The other two are in the Vatican and in Spain The present structure is believed to date back to 1523, when the structure was built, over the tomb of St Thomas the apostle, by the Portuguese, and renovated and upgraded in status by the British in 1896. There is a museum containing relics related to the apostle as well as to the Church. I visited the evening before Christmas in 2022, when preparations for the Xmas Mass were in full swing, and the atmosphere was at once joyous and divine.

I heard a lot about St Thomas Bessilica in Chennai, as a significant place of worship but did not have much idea about it earlier. There only I came to know that. Great blessing for Chennai & India. Only 3 tombs of Jesus Christ's pupils are there world wide & one is in our country. It's a big & beautiful church. Peaceful vibes. I recommend people of all religions to visit here because blessing & divinity has no religion.

Very beautiful church and very nicely maintained. The hall is really peaceful to pray. In the church campus you have a museum too. We missed that due to lack of time. You have Parkin space to inside the campus.

One cool bar is located inside the church compound. Snacks are also available here. Good drinking water is also available here. St. Thomas Pole is also situated just backside of the church. Well maintained and very nicely crafted. People are humble inside. Beside this church there is a shop to buy the Bible and many more if you want and backside there is a Museum tho which is really very quiet and feels very positive vibes.

Wonderful historic monumental must visit place in chennai. Great to meditate at the tomb of St Thomas, apostle of Jesus Christ. More than 2000 years old 72 CE, Thomas was martyred. Good museum

A historical site and the church. The well preserved century old church inner side is very impressive. The outside structure is also very unique. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the tomb of St.Thomas from 1st century and an informative museum attached to it. All these are on back side of the church. Car parking is limited during busy days but street parking in the surrounding may be checked out.

Ranganathan street is always good as good it was because it lies near the exit of the railway station ...really an awsome place to explore the chennai city and people and the latest trending foods..... we can see many shops local as well branded shops and the market is near by... fruits vegetables.... ranganathan street is always crowded and in festival times it is more crouded... we can get A-Z in this street even it is buget friendly and there is no assurity of the quality some time it may be worth sometimes not ......

It’s always crowded area but connected to all the local amenities like Electric train and bus stand but difficult to find parking for two wheelers and four wheelers. You can get variety of items starting from low price to high price. Though different places are there but people still like to come here.

One of the best shopping mall in Chennai, It is essentially big mall in there. The all types of Brand showroom is there in this mall. Clothing brands, footwear brand, electronic equipment brands, food and beverages brand etc, All types are available there. I don't get too much time to explore here. The food court also very well arranged. The mall also have Movie theater with latest technology. I was happy to stay here.

Mall has strategic location ! Elegant and too lively.. Good brand mix ! Leisure to shop, eat and entertainment… I found VIP Lounge too appealing store. Lot of Travel categories to offer and great products at good prices.. Skybags was trendy and Carlton was trending ! They even have good consumer offers running at store. Have a great shopping experience when you’re here..

Express Avenue hosts a mixture of shopping, business and leisure. The mall is home to the largest gaming arcade in South India. Fun City, a prominent attraction of the mall, is a play area for children. Express Avenue has also have an exclusive showrooms for BMW and Volvo. The three-level basement parking is equipped to handle about 2,000 vehicles.

Good place for shopping and spent time under one roof for many things, specially on weekend getaway. The mall is one of the best malls of Chennai. All the best brands located at one place for ease of shopping all items. The facade is extremely simple and huge in scale. There is ample space for parking and 5 exits gates.There is a big food court at the top of the mall.

Best mall in the heart of the city. Ample car parking is available at a reasonable cost of Rs.40 per hour. Most of the food joints in the food court close by 10pm. The Burrito outlet was one of the few options that was available when we landed there around 10 pm. The food quality and quantity are appreciatable. All big brands have their presence here.

Good place to have a good entertainment. Parking was so easy to go and park the car. Lift system was quick and easy to access for every floors. Food was the best thing there and that's why there was lot of crowd in that eating area. Escape cinemas was arranged perfectly with social distancing guidelines. Restroom is available in the mall, not sure whether available in all the floors or not. Fun zone for kids is little compact for them. That idea was really cool. Very neat place. Had a great time over there.

The mall is too big,best place to shop and fun with family and friends. Excellent place for weekends along with family and friends. Spacious parking facility for 2wheeler and 4wheeler. Hectic traffic on weekends so better visit by weekdays. Lots of shops available for food items neat and well service provided by them. You can find chat items, ice-creams at reasonable price and quantity.

Honestly a very nice mall that has all of the big name stores and a great food court! I visited several times throughout my stay in Chennai and was never disappointed! A few key stores that they have: Nike, Under Armour, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Puma, and H&M. It makes for a nice place to escape from the heat as well since the mall is well air conditioned!

This is a very good place to go if you want to cool off a bit. As well as the Western stores (Marks and Spencer etc) there’s a craft section on the ground floor which while not as cheap as a street market, sells good quality stuff - we bought a bedspread.Great Mall with a good variety of stores ! The Spa on the 3rd floor next to the Movie Theatre is Fabulous and for a World Class Treatment look for MarieIt was clean everywhere at the mall which I appreciated. There is a good variety of shops. I found that products in the supermarkets on the bottom floor are well organized and presented. On the top floor, where there is a good view over the city, I had a strawberry fruit juice which tasted well. The sales people neither speak the local language nor English . They boldly say they can speak only Hindi. If we need help , we need to speak in Hindi to extract help. The girl who stands near the fitting rooms behaves as if she owns the store & the people at the cash counter push people for the membership card inspite of polite declination .! Such a nice store with diverse choices and yet the service sucks !! West side management needs to reconsider their service people at this location.!

We spent time on shopping and experience is good. Great brands with individual shops where we can purchase what we want. Not that many discounts. Much more options for food. But getting a seat in food court is challenging.

Ordered one paneer dosa. Need to add few points. 1. Customer service is so poor. 2. The making of dosa was very worst. 3. Quality was poor too. Couldn't taste the dish. 4. Quantity of the panner in dosa was also bad. 5. Rate is 165 for a single paneer dosa. Never had such a worst experience over food. They charge you 165/- for a single paneer dosa and it turns out to be a disappointment. Never ever will suggest the place to anyone or step inside this restaurant one more time. Horrible experience.

This hotel is the best example for how quick a hotel can go from the best to the worst. I went with my family for lunch. The meals was below average. Any vegetarian hotel in Chennai would serve a better meal. The mini-meal was even worse. The taste and quality has degraded to the lowest possible. Once, Saravana bhavan's Sambar was the best in Chennai and today we can't even taste it. The rice they serve seems to be IR 20 variety. Overall, one of the worst experiences in recent times.

The food was good (8/10) but the service on the particular day I visited was disastrous. I'm not sure if this was a one-time event. However, they did apologise extensively and made ammends later.

Okayish place. Good facilities for family functions. Food is not that great. I ordered mini tiffins. The quantity was not sufficient for a single person. Taste was okay, nothing extraordinary. Then i ordered paper ghee roast masala dosai. The quantity of masala was too less compared to the dosai. I have to eat halve of the dosai without masala. Many items from the menu were unavailable. The cleaning staff could not even wait for me to finish and asked for the plate. Coffee was good. Bit overpriced.

Absolutely poor hotel with poor menu and poor servers, you order food and you don't get any confirmation of it and you have to order food repeatedly. Poor atmosphere, uncleaned and unhygienic. Don't waste your time in this hotel, better go fasting than eating in this hotel

Hidden in Kenneth lane, Spacious hotel and maintained well, comparing to other nearby hotels service is good as usual and restrooms are maintained well, family friendly. Missing old Saravana Bhavan taste. Coffee is asusual good, sambar vadai is fresh and this place is good for evening snack.

Saravana Bhavan has a major hype when it comes to South Indian restaurants in Delhi. So, while on my visit to Chennai, I wanted to have its experience at the place it initiated. I tried their Lunch meal which, as seen in the pic, was a vibrant platter of various curries served with rice, and Payasam. The taste was good and the vibe of the place felt authentic. On the downside, I felt that the staff was a little less responsive. I also bought a pack of their store-packed snack called Seedai, which I didn't like much. Overall, this is a great recommendation for any tourist looking for a good South Indian lunch.

Absolutely loved this place. Way better then Delhi one. Cleanliness was well maintained, prompt service. They have hung beautiful hand paintings all around the sitting area. Wished to take one of them home. We tried their breakfast tiffin, onion dosa, Idiyappam and coconut milk which was wonderful. 😍

Had dinner buffet and breakfast buffet here during our stay at the Sheraton grand chennai. The spread was huge. The dishes were so delicious. Staff were so caring and serving according to the individual needs. Chef himself walked down to the table to find the guests' requirements and made dishes as ordered. The ambience was nice. Excellent hospitality! Will definitely keep coming back to this place and would recommend it to all of my friends as well.

The Reef is the restaurant where the buffet is present but we went with alacrity. We have ordered at 8:30 pm and we have completed our dinner at 10:30 pm. The service is so slow for each and ever order. The Tomato Soup was not good given without bread pieces, afterwards we asked, they have given bread pieces which are not used in soup. And Ajwanini Mahi (fish) was not good but after saying they have replaced. We have requested a small cake for my parents aniversary, they have got the cake but at 10:40 pm where we were waiting for the billing and all went off out. At last they have packed the cake and gave us but for packing also it has taken time, finally they gave me the cake at 10:50 pm. I booked the restaurant table via Eazy Dinner app, where I am having prime membership with some 25% discount, but the bill given we was not having any discount also. I thought only the slow service and they forgot this also, I did not ask because it's already 10:50 pm where my parents were waiting at the car. I was totally disappointed with the food and service of the Reef.

The overall experience was just okay. I thought for the price of the buffet which is on the higher end there would be a lot of variety but it's kind of limited options with Live counter for Italian, chat and sea food. The taste was just okay not that delicious that you feel like eating twice. The dessert was all cream cake and mango. The AC was not spread and we felt warm near our table. Over all I felt it dint justify the amount we paid.

Excellent place to have a get together lunch, the buffet had a wide range of starters, main courses and desserts. The attendants were really a group of helpful and hospitable people. The place had a very good ambience too. Extras - Has access to the beach and a park. Not that far from the city too.

The spread was good. We had an outing for 33 pax. Everyone enjoyed the serves, food, extended deserts and beverages choices. Although the non veg starters needs some attention and improvements. We could mange with rest of the choices It was a great great away from city rush hours.

One of the budget friendly breakfast buffet star hotel in Chennai. Ambience was awesome. Loved the customized special salad prepared by Chefs when I requested.

This is the usual place I keep visiting very often like once in two months being a club member. Place looks very good with great ambience with very good courtesy by staff. Desserts are pretty good than the actual main course an starters. More than me my son and wife likes the place because of the ambience and non-veg platter.

Seasonal tastes buffet and alacarte restaurant inside of hotel Westin Chennai Velachery. Ambitious place and open spaced restaurant. Here specific times you need to order and some items are readymade. Pasta, grill chicken, Naan, roti, juice and pizza items are need to order. They will serve to your table. They have chicken Briyani, mutton curry, fish curry, chicken gravy,etc are main dishes in Non-Veg. Veg items they have rice, dal, Ennai brinjal (Oil brinjal), Sambar, rasam. Overall food is good and satisfied. But pizza and pasta are not upto the level. Briyani too. Mutton gravy is very good taste. I liked and loved it. Deserts also good. They have plenty of deserts items. They are serving cocktail also but that will extra charged. Employees are customer centric. Price is ₹1899 per head ( Lunch buffet). Breakfast and dinner I don't have idea. Overall worth for ₹1200 - ₹1300 rupees.

Seasonal tastes located inside Westin Hotel at Velachery offers you both buffet as well as A la carte menu. We went for a night buffet and this is a multicuisine restuarant with a pretty good ambience with dimming lights setting a good vibe for the night. The night buffet price was ₹2200/person and the menu changes everyday. The service was good and the table was neatly set. The food was good but could have been better for the price we pay. The food didn't have much variety or any signature dishes as we had all the same stuff we get in a normal restuarant. Taste wise the food was nice but the food could have been kept warmer as it was almost chill. Overall a nice experience, still could have been better for the price we pay.

The Food taste was below par. The Bbq nation, Ab's bbq's are far better than this Restaurant. The Food needs lot of improvement. Positive : 1. The Ambiance was good. 2. The service was good, they were removing the plates promptly before our next pickup. 3. It has good parking space. 4. The dessert cakes were good. 4. Nothing positive about the food, the only stand out was the Spinach corn dish and the Children Salad. Negative : 1. They do not have many varieties in Non-vegetarian. It was just BbQ chicken and poor fish. Fish was burned, bad and stinking. 2. Ice cream was the poorest. It was melted and tasted like a cycle vendor selling ice Cream. 3. Panneer butter masala can't even be eated. 4. Overall the food was poor except two items given in positive side. 5. Pizza was poor in live counter. Very raw and sour.

Never had a very good buffet lunch in a 5 star hotel. Had my lunch in ITC, holiday inn. But here the taste and varieties are too good. They have plenty of non-veg, veg ( never seen these much in other buffet), deserts

Recently i visited with my family to Murugan idli at besant Nagar, we have been to chennai - bangalore high way branch, so we thought this would the same. At 11am it self the restaurant tables were not arranged and the floor was so dirty, we asked if the restaurant is open or not, one person asked to sit didn't even say it is open, we waited for a long time, to give our order. We ordered podi idli, podi uthappa, masala dosa and vada. I saw vada at the glass box, asked give me the vada if it is hot, he took the vada from the display box, it was so cold and literally asked to take back all the vada except one. Not at a good food at this branch, very bad service for the same price. Hand wash area was do dirty the whole experience was unpleasant and horrible. Don't over order at restaurant and don't waste food.

Very old and famous idilli shop in Chennai. You could enjoy the besant nagar beach and have nice food here. 5 varieties of chutneys with idillis are the famous recipes given here.

Worst food, I have been to this place 2 yrs back but then the food was awesome ,tasty and the kind of satisfaction which we got after having our breakfast will be unexplainable. But today it was the worst food I have ever had in my lifetime. Had rava onion dosa, podi idly both were below average. Sambar was just yellow water , no salt no flavour nothing. Just waste of money. Won't visit again.

Murugan idli shop This is located just beside church. Quick service Good taste Serves hot Price is little higher Clean service Accepts online payment also Quantity is also okay Multiple dishes available here. There are enough tables in this shop which can attain 30 customers at a time

We went to eat, and it cost almost Rs.600 for three people. Have ordered sakara pongal, podi idly, paneer, rava, and rava dosa. The paneer dosa was completely not good and the rava was of mediocre quality. Pongal and masal dosa were delicious. Good sambar and four distinct chutneys were served with good service.

When you visit Eliot's beach for a beautiful sunrise, do male a visit to this amazing breakfast place if you are craving for a typical South Indian Breakfast. I loved the place for its decent staff and service. Do try their podi idly. Their Ghee podi idlis are the best that I had so far. We had tried their Masala dosa, jigarthanda, plain and Ghee podi idlis. The food was served on Banana leaf, they served four chutneys along with it and sambhar for the dosa. The experience of eating here on Banana leaf is something you should definitely try. Mixed experience in this outlet. We visited around 4pm on a Sunday. We had podi idly, onion ghee podi uthappam and jigarthanda. Taste was good as usual. But the outlet wasn't maintained well and it wasn't clean. It was infected with house flies. Service was fast though despite the lack of waiters. Parking is small, two cars can be parked and couple of bikes can be parked at any given time. Sodexo is not accepted. Cards and cash are accepted.

breakfast that is served with delicious coconut chutney and sambar. Idli is soft and fluffy. There are different variants of idli: rave idli, masala idli, flattened rice idli and many more. Since it's made out of rice and urad dal, it is easily digestible. Also, since it is steamed, they don't have a lot of calories. idli tastes bland. But served with a sambar and a green coconut chutney, it becomes one of the most delicious foods you will ever eat. This is also food for everyone--and anytime.

The food was exquisite. Extremely unique experience. As much as we loved how the food tasted, we were not completely convinced about the portion sizes & the overall waiting time for the full course meal to complete. No matter how fancy & elegant the dishes might look and taste, 2.5 hours was a long time for us to sit patiently at a table waiting for each dish to arrive one by one. To be fair though, it was a Friday night with a full house, and I won't be surprised if the restaurant generally becomes full on other days as well, considering the quality of food. For the more patient folks our there, this restaurant might be an excellent find and experience. Make sure you go with the right mindset and know what to expect out of the experience.

The food was absolutely incredible. Beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We got Anika and Tara tasting menus and we were warned that it would take about 3 hours to get through. We have been here for 4+ hours because of how slow the service is. We waited 20 mins for a cheque. And when they brought it out they made a whole thing about us wanting to split the bill. They told us that it will take them even longer to get it ready. And alcohol is billed separately and cannot be split.. overall yes do come here for the food but have one person pay the entire bill and prepare for delays.

Went for dinner with a few friends. This was an elaborate 13 course meal. The portions were small but put together they were heavy. The service was also very slow, be prepared to spend atleast 2 hours. There were lot of new dishes on the menu, including miniature barota. The ice creams at the end were delicious

My first nice dining experience in Avartana was fantastic. The manner they describe the dish after it has been served, as well as the innovation they have made with our South Indian cuisine. Particularly noteworthy are their presentation and distinct dishes for each meal. When I tried to stroll in last month, they were completely booked. As seats are limited, it is best to reserve ahead of time. Totally Love it 😊😍

Had the bella beautiful veg and non-veg course. Avartana is a beautiful experience. The food was absolutely delicious. What's so interesting in the surprising elements in every course, very innovative dishes with regular ingredients sets one to wonder what's coming next. Kudos to the energetic staff & talented chefs at Avartana!

Well-lit, comfortable and with light music in the background, this restaurant within the ITC Grand Chola, is a nice place for a gastronomic experience. The food arrives at a steady pace, and the servers are well-versed with what each dish brings to the plate. Some of the combinations sound surprisingly odd, but they gel really well and are a burst of flavors. The food is strictly meant for a luxurious experience and not to fill one up to the brim. The best fine dining in Chennai. It’s a must try. They explain everything in detail and even guide you to have it the right way. The food was splendid and the ambience was great. Last but not the least the service was top notch. We really had a great time with the family. It’s bit pricey but totally worth it
