Definitely worth visiting. The 30-minute boat ride to get there was a little bumpy. The jail tour is informative and well-paced. The island tour by bus was fine although the bus is a bit cramped. The museum presents its important story well.

A large boat takes tourists over to Robben Island, off the coast of Capetown, S Africa. Its approximately a 30 minute ride and can be rough, when in the open waters unprotected by the bay. Buses take groups around the island to see the quarry where prisoners toiled, the houses and other buildings for the staff and their families and lastly the tour of the prison, culminating in a walk past Nelson Mandela’s cell. Our guide was a former prisoner who told of his own experiences there, incarcerated at age 18. There was another former prisoner, with his family in our touring group- it was quite moving when the 2 men , one black, one white, recognized each other.

The tour was very informative and I've learned a lot, the knowledge gap about Robben Island was filled. I wish every South African could pay a visit.

This is a must see on your Cape Town visit. Buy tickets well in advance during summer. We highly highly recommend the Walking Tour option. While it takes 4+ hours you really get a very different and more in depth experience than the regular tour on big busses that move past the many historical sights. Plus, you get to spend time with a resident guide on Robben Island, which affords a much more personal take on the place.

Great tour to get a lot of South African history the apartheid period in particular, and of course to visit the historic ground of Robben Island where Mandela were for years.

Yacht and onboard commentary was on point. Friendly and knowledgeable tour guides. Not sure if all of the prison tour guides are, but ours was an ex prisoner with plenty stories to tell Learnt a lot about the history of Robben Island but felt as though the tour was very rushed - there was a lot more to be seen and heard.

A historic site to visit and learn a lot. There is information that was unknown to me but now I know. It was an amazing visit and we had a colorful tour guides who gave us an amazing tour around the ISLAND. We even saw some penguins 🐧 😂

Beautiful historic place, however they allow so many ppl at a time. Groups are made out of a bus full therefore really difficult to navigate through the narrow passages in prison. Otherwise I enjoyed the lectures and learned a lot about our history. Also we had to wait in a long queue to enter the boat. Waiting in the blazing hot day was not nice.

Just an absolute grounding experience. Being able to put yourself in the shoes of people who were imprisoned for fighting for freedom is something you’ll never experience elsewhere. Insider tip would to sit on the left side of the bus tour portion and sit in the bottom of the ferry.

Having read the Long Walk to Freedom a few months back I just had to visit while in Cape Town. The fact the tours are from former prisoners was a bonus hearing the words from the mouths of the people who suffered at the place.

Robben Island was a great experience, the waiting area was modern but there weren’t many places to sit so when our trip delayed an hour it was uncomfortable. The boat ride was fun and bumpy with a cool history video on. We had guided buses taking us around the island and explaining each area including the prisons, the history, the lepers. We got out at a few stops to take photos. We then had a guided prison walkabout by an ex prison inmate who was in there for terrorism and 2 counts of murder. He explained each portion of the prison and his experience. Total time was about 3 to 4 hours and was event filled.

TL;DR: great place if you like busy places. Amazing things to see. A lot to do This place is really beautiful. There's so many shops and you can most likely find exactly what you're looking for. It is almost always very very busy. There is people everywhere and is not a bad busy but rather a party time busy. The restaurants is also really beautiful and have a great great view of all the boats coming in.

Very upmarket shopping venue. The usual suspect stores are all here plus the high end luxury stores which are not so easy to find. Reasonable selection of restaurants and the more market like stalls are also present outside. Loads of boat and helicopter tour stands along the actual dockside. Must visit venue when coming to Cape Town. Fantastic views of table mountain in the background.

Honestly this is a great place to start your day, there's amazing places to get breakfast as you sit by the Harbour and if you cast your eyes out you might catch a glimpse of a seal or 2 taking a dip. It's a major tourist attraction and there are a lot of activities you can experience from private yacht adventures to helicopter rides. You have a great view of Table Mountain and it's only a 5 to 10 minute drive, so when in Cape Town this is certainly a great place to visit.

Great experience in this wonderful mall! Had a lovely lunch and great shopping variety for anything needed. Parking is easy and the African shops are worth looking at given 100% SA made items are truly beautiful. When visiting I shall be back to embrace the beauty of this wonderful waterfront

A beautiful vibrant place to experience. There are multiple stores to visit. There are multiple activities to do while you are here as well such as going on a cruise tour and experiencing fine dining or perhaps watching a concert, sounds surreal right? Except it's not. There are so many gasp worthy moments that leave you astonished at this establishment. You are certified to leave extremely exhausted here man, walking around alone is a journey, this place is humongous. Overall, i enjoyed exploring this trendy place. It was worth the hype. Cape Town has a special place in my heart.

Very clean with incredible scenery of both Table Mountain and the ocean. A variety of excellent restaurants to choose from and a large mall with plenty of shopping options. Street performers add to the vibe.

Beautiful shopping centre with some great shops and fantastic places to eat. The scenery in this area is stunning, there are new art galleries and upmarket designer shopping. Spent a good few hours here and felt very safe as there are lots of security walking around.

Really beautiful place. Great scenes as per usual upon arrival. The atmosphere is very buzzing. This is a great family on vacation shopping destination. The solo traveller will enjoy the silent spots I've come to discover and enjoy too. There are multiple activities to engage in.

The V&A Waterfront is still a choice tourist destination in Cape Town. There's a whole range of things to do here including an unmatched compliment of restaurants and food options. The mall has excellent shopping experience where you just can't stop buying because there's so many options.

We climbed the mountain for 4 hours, only when you arrive close to the top there is a good 4G cellular connection, so It's impossible to use any guide apps during your route. The mountain is very challenging, but the road is amazing.

This view is at a different angle to the cable car views and I enjoyed the walk after going up platteklip gorge. There were signs and you won't get lost getting to the top. It took me about 35min after getting on top from platteklip gorge.

It was a lovely stroll from the cable way to the beacon. There was a slight Westerly wind blowing and cloud forming and disappearing all around the mountain top. There was good, clean, quality air coming in off of the Atlantic and the flora looked fresh and vibrant. Spotted a few flowering Gladiolus...

Capetown is the most beautiful place I've ever been to! The Table mountain looks absolutely amazing and to think that I thought it was flat on top only to find a whole house and bathroom room facilities and shops 🤣 The view from the top is breathing taking! Seeing clouds literally below is mind blowing and the vibe is just amazing. I really enjoyed myself and I'm definitely going back! ❤️❤️

Such a beautiful place.. You can see amazing Atlantic ocean from the top south west side... See the entire city... There is a cable car to go to the top.. The cable car is also amazing and it rotates from inside so that you get 360 degree view... You also have a cafe at the top.. Before you go make sure it's not cloudy... This is a must visit place in cape town.. You shouldn't miss

Recommended hike in Cape Town. The hike is very steep and challenging but you won’t regret is when you see the view at the top. Good luck!

A great place to Hike in for Sunrise or Sunset. I did for Sunrise and have seen one of the best views I hiked over for the past few years. If you are an athlete or fitness prepared. Then you must go for it!!

Gorgeous views, well maintained trail, the fencing needs some work but the beauty overshadows that. I noticed children and a few elderly people struggling so maybe some easier support systems so everyone can enjoy the views 🤗

What a fun hike. Full of switch backs, bouldering and some climbing holds in the rocks to help get you to the top. Wonderful views of both Table Mountain as well as Cape Town below. Would for sure do again to see this spectacular view during different times of the day and at night.

Coming to Cape Town and not climbing Lion's Head would be a sin. The climb is worth it with an incredible view over the city. Early sunrise or late sunset climbs are special.

Highly recommended hiking route and my favourite walk of all time! So accessible, easy and of course stunning stunning views! The dogs can go with, okay 2 thirds of the way and you always meet the friendliest people!

Gorgeous view overlooking the city on this hike! Well worth a visit although it got quite crowded on the trail as we were there on a weekend. A short hike 1.5 hours up, the path splits into 2 near the middle with one route that is longer but less steep and another that is shorter with ladders and chains to climb up. There was a short scramble near the top but the view at the peak is worth it.

The hike is short but gets quite challenging, especially for kids. I do not recommend bringing them. Very nice views, can get quite cold, be prepared.

After several days of experiencing the sights, sounds and culture of the southern Cape area we had an unscheduled day. A group member suggested Kirstenbosch Gardens and I am so glad they did. We entered at the low main entrance and were greeted with an array of Bonsai trees. Moving into the gardens the mountains emerged over the flora and fauna. We walked the paths gaining and losing elevation to see the various plants. After 2 hours we decided to go for the tree canopy walk on our way out. This was amazing and a great way to end the day.

Such a magical place. This experience is something else something different. Amazing and unique. So peaceful. Simply the best place to spend time in nature. A great day out with the family to pack a picnic and relax in the shade under the trees. We missed it, but I would highly recommend going there and finishing your day with an open air cinema at Kirtschenbosch Botanical Gardens. Check the dates.

We went there to experience the boomslang bridge. It was a beautiful walk over the canopies with magnificent views of the mountain. It had benches along the bridge to stop and admire. For older folks, the walk to the bridge is slightly uphill but well worth it.

If you’re a nature lover then this is your spot! Beautiful mountain peak and love the green scenery in the park. The park is located just about 15 minutes away from Cape Town City Centre. There are many different kind of flowers/plants, great walk/hike place with beautiful scenery. Nature at its perfection. It’s a great picnic spot. The park has some great eateries too for breakfast/lunch/brunch that serve great food, coffee and cocktails. Highly recommend it.

Unique experience, definitely bigger than I thought it was. You can easily spent up to two hours here if you'd like (maybe even more). Lots of benches and grass, you can picnic here if you like. Do keep in mind that there are no rubbish bins in the park. The park has sooo many botanical species. Of course the best time to visit would be during blossoming season. The view of the mountains in the background makes it a beautiful park, not to be missed if you're spending days in Cape Town

Magical. A must see. Truly spectacular natural beauty. Walking, picnic. Lots of open spaces with perfectly kept lawns. Every imaginable plant with mountain streams and magnificent views and mountains. Green, lush, beautiful with 3 restaurants and clean, well kept bathrooms. By chance I saw an old acquaintance with her family from Pretoria, Potchefstroom and the Netherlands, as they were taking photos at a stream in Kirstenbosch.

Kirstenbosch National Gardens was fantastic - even in misty and rainy conditions. Unless it's pouring down, you can still have a good experience, just pack waterproof kit and an umbrella and closed shoes (and whatever else you deem necessary). We packed a picnic but there is also a lovely restaurant. So many beautiful plants to see! Tranquil and beautiful!

The fact that this botanical garden is a part of the world renowned "Magnificent Seven" alone should speak to how impressive of an experience they offer. They have a very vast collection of botanicals that can easily take 3-4 hours to explore it all. I particularly enjoyed giant mountains that casually sit right next this garden. Together it makes for breathtaking views that I've never experienced elsewhere. I highly recommend visiting here if you ever find yourself in cape town.

A must do when visiting Cape Town. Absolutely stunning. It's a massive botanical garden, so you could spend hours there. It's a beautiful place to visit to spend time with family, learn about local history and enjoy remarkable views. Expect lots of walking. You can go on your own or take a guided tour. Definitely make time for this place on your trip to Cape Town. I recommend going in the morning when it opens, ahead of crowds and the heat.

this places is a gift from god. If you love nature you will fall in love badly with this place. It is a huge place but so wonderful to explore. They have an open air concert space where singers like jeremy loops perform. A lot of places to eat and drink. Very clean and wonderfully taken care of. A nice souvenir shop at the entrance to get a few things. Loved every minute. Highly recommended. On the beautiful edge of the mountain range.. Loved it.

As far as botanical gardens go, I haven’t been to too many. This one focuses on the natural beauty of the landscape versus sculptures or man made gardens. It’s very pleasant and relaxing to walk through the gardens and sit and take in the backdrop of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles mountains. We were here in June and most of the flowers were not blooming since it is the winter season. It was still worth visiting. You can spend anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours and feel satisfied.

Yes, you can’t make a reservation, but so far I’ve been here twice and every time you wait less than 5min in the cue. Food is outstanding!! Probably some of the best Sushi you can get in Cape Town. I’m usually not an Oyster person, but they are so fresh that I really enjoyed them. Also, highly recommend their Mussels in White Wine sauce ✨🙌 can’t recommend the Oyster Shot though, wasn’t mine. Great service, very attentive. Recommend sitting by the bar and watch the chef making the sushi!

I recently had an amazing dining experience at Willoughby & Co. The food was fantastic, especially the top-notch sushi and the mouthwatering fried calamari. However, I wasn't impressed with the chicken noodles compared to the outstanding sushi. I would recommend avoiding the chicken noodles or adjusting your expectations accordingly. Overall, it's a nice place with great food and fresh beer. Keep in mind that they don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait in line for a table during busy evenings or weekends.

Great find for sushi lovers. Excellent food and service during the week whilst Sam was around, but on Sunday we had poor service and the food was not the same. The phrase for Sunday is Same Same but Different on a Sunday. Well that was our experience for the ten days we stayed at the waterfront and frequented this restaurant four times during our stay. First visit on the Saturday, second on Sunday and we got disappointed. Wednesday whilst walking around we saw Sam and gave it a try again and wow, what a difference. Fourth was Thursday and surprisingly heard one of their regular customers talking to Sam and they said they come all the time but avoid Sunday. This place has the best sushi we had in SA and would definitely recommend to others.

Would highly recommend the Japanese platter - a really delicious selection of Japanese specialties. Food was fresh and tasty. The waiter was really sweet, just disappeared for a bit and had to try flag someone down to order more drinks.

Always have a great sushi here. Be prepared to wait sometime for a table, unless you’re willing to sit at the bar which is decently comfortable actually. Desserts are amazing too! Only thing I didn’t really enjoy here is tempura prawns, too little prawns in it for my liking. Also there’s a lovely grocery shop inside with very interesting things.

Food was good and service was great. The sushi was excellent. The dimsum very average. The noodles were good too. Will be back to try other dishes!

Celebrated a 90th Birthday. Service was really great, thanks Billy. The food is on another level. All dishes were served piping hot and the freshest fish ever. All dishes were subtly spiced, and the spices used complimented the different dishes. Keep up the fantastic standard. We shall be back!

This was such a special dining experience that ended with me hugging our waiter 😂♥️ Cal is so good at what he does. In one of the busiest restaurants, he made us feel like his one and only guests. Thank you for honouring our request for “the best seat in the house”. The food was impeccable, with even better views!

The restaurant is really beautiful with indoor and covered outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the Waterfront and Table Mountain. I ordered the fish platter (Line fish, chips, rice, prawn, calamari, langoustines and lobster) and wife had the salmon and lobster. All the seafood was cooked to perfection and so delicious. The sauces really complimented the food. The service at this restaurant is out of this world. It's a definite must visit for any seafood lover.

One of the best seafood meals I ate while in Cape Town! The fresh grilled sardines and the whole grilled linefish were cooked wonderfully - flavorful and clearly very fresh! The view from the seating area was fantastic as well — there’s something special about eating fresh seafood while looking out at the sea. The service was fantastic — easily 5 stars! The staff was incredibly accommodating. Hard not to go back during my time visiting Cape Town, but alas, I wanted to try some other places too.

I found the base seafood to be of high quality but the plating and accompanying components to the dish uninspiring, bland, and unimaginative. A very high price for acceptable seafood is not something I would return for and it would need to improve significantly versus some much better places at less than half the cost. Pricey, overrated, base seafood is solid.

Had the king flip, cray fish tail, langoustine. King flip was very tasty with a unique texture, it was our first time and we really love it. Crayfish tail was ok. Langoustine was also another highlight, sweet and flavorful. Waiter service was ok, it started off well and he needed to serve other tables and kind of slowed down to clear up our’s, another waiter had to tend to us. He also forgot our items as it was kept in the restaurant’s counter. Utensils were not replaced after each meal, even when it was left on the plate. But overall friendly and clean. Love the atmosphere, very well set up restaurant that is considered semi fine dining(just don’t expect explanations in regards to your food). Will return!

Den Anker is a beautiful place with a great vibe near the Clock Tower and has an excellent view of the Harbour, unfortunately that is all it has to offer. The service was nothing to write home about, unfortunately the waffles and not that great either as they are quite hard and the worst part is the ice cream is served on the side with the cream being put on top, you have no choice of sauces but the plain syrup they give you. Then as far as cleanliness goes I would never go back again as I went to the bathroom and one of the kitchen staff was the urinal with his apron still on, when I mentioned this to the manager he had nothing much to say or apologize for, so I would not be going back to Den Anker again.

I have been coming to Den Anker for years, and the quality of the food is always top notch. I generally go for their mussel pot, deliciuos!!! Plus the coffee is great and served with a yummy traditional Belgian biscuits, Speculoos. Let us be honest, nobody could never fault this view either.

This was my first time at this restaurant. The mussels were fresh but most still had the beard in them, it needed to be cleaned before preparation, so it wasn't as good as I expected due to those hairy bits that stuck in my teeth. Unpleasant. The chateaubriand was excellent, well prepared & delicious! The tiger prawns main is a small portion yet steeply priced. If you're hungry, rather opt for something else from the menu. The service was good & the setting is beautiful, quite romantic.

Lovely food and attentive service. We had just arrived in Cape Town on Tuesday night and fancied a meal in a relaxed atmosphere. We first headed to another restaurant but looking across the harbour at Den Anker it looked far more active so decided to give it a try. The food is hybrid-French style, with moules, fish soup, chateaubriand. We ordered the chateaubriand and fish soup. Steaks were perfect (although a little too much sauce for my taste - a little side-pot of sauce would have been better), and I loved the fish soup which was packed with flavour. We enjoyed ourselves so much we were the last to leave and the restaurant happily left us alone. I’d thoroughly recommend.

I had excellent fish and chips at Den Anker tonight. The salad was fresh and the fish cooked to perfection. The food arrived quickly and service was efficient. The views from the surrounding V&A waterfront are beautiful too.

Situated with amazing views, Den Anker, provides a combination of Belgium/Dutch Food with sights of Table Mountain, sea lions and the general harbour. The service and food are well, but the main attraction to sit here and get a drink are the views.

I am in Cape Town about once a year and love coming back to Den Anker. An amazing selection of high quality beers and good finger food. The staff is also always kind and the restaurant itself is very beautiful, situated in a fantastic location.

We went there for brunch. They had a nice breakfast special before 11. Egg Benedict with a mimosa for R100 or waffle with bacon and a mimosa for R100. The eggs Benedict was delicious and I had the creme Burlee for dessert and it was amazing. The used vanilla bean which makes the taste so much better. My friend had the burger which was yummy and the salmon was done to perfection. The mash was nice a creamy and smooth, The waffles were good and the chocolate mousse. The pear brownie dessert was average. I really think they need more umbrellas because the sun got way too much

Loved the set up, views and excellent service. The food however was just average. Mussels were good, nothing special. Prawn bisque was nice but my preference is a cream base. The wagyu burgers were tasteless.

Excellent food at a great price! We had the salmon and grilled prawns. They were both delicious - flavorful and perfectly done. And you can beat the view from the outside patio. Right on the water with great views on Table Mountain. We will be back!

Waltzed in without a reservation and were instantly greeted and helped. Given a table and offered a high chair for our infant. The wine selection is nice, local. Food is as the ticket says, Belgian. Well done, too. Prices aren’t crazy and the location and its surroundings are worth a drink and visit in their own right. Weirdly I realised the people around me were all Belgian. Probably a coincidence but worth noting, no? This was recommended to me by a SA, which I thought was weird- but I since came round.

Perched atop Woodstock, with a 360° view of Table Mountain and the Cape Town harbour, you'd imagine the scenery would matter more. However, once you get a mouthful of the rich flavours on offer at the Pot Luck Club you will hardly notice the view. This restaurant is a pretty laid-back experience for the price-point. If you don't know what to order, your waiter will certainly have options about that. All-in-all it's a great spot to share some spectacular dishes with close friends. Although intended for sharing, it is not easy to divide the beautifully plated culinary constructions. This may present some awkwardness if you are negotiating a business deal with pandemic-adverse clients. Other than that, it is a delicious, atmospheric and fun experience.

What a fantastic evening. Every dish was a taste sensation. Sitting at the counter watching the goings on was brilliant. Chef Rigo took the time to chat and tell us all about the dishes and chef life. Our waiter Mini was exceptional. Highly recommended on so many levels.

Birthday dinner with the lady. We had the warmest welcome by front of house and were taken care of by Cara/Kara? Wonderful food, naturally, and outstanding cocktails (Thai Green Curry). Many small birthday surprises from the team at Pot Luck made for an unforgettable birthday dinner - thank you!

An incredible meal at the Pot Luck Club. We loved the menu was small, meant everything was fresh and didn’t give us a headache over what to choose. The food was amazing, every dish - great textures and flavour combinations. Also the Thai Green Curry cocktail was delicious - don’t be put off by the name, really is superb. Would 100% recommend this to anyone as one of the top food places in Cape Town. When you turn up, make sure your taxi drops you off inside, then get the lift up (in the corner) to the restaurant.

Top spot, in the cool Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock. Great views from the 6th floor. The food was amazing, we had most of the dishes on the veggie menu an all were superb. My dessert was a peanut bomb and would rate it as on the better desserts I have had in a long time. Services was great. Highly recommend.

Wonderful food. Only the chicken dish was a little salty with the pickles being a little too sour. Other than that 5 out of 5. Faves: Tartar, Seared Tuna and Cauliflower Buns. Thanks to our wonderful waiter Minnie for making us feel so appreciated!

Would definitely recommend you try this place. Even more so in summer and for sunset. The views are incredible and would definitely add to the good food, which is on offer. Staff are very professional and group your food for you so that it starts with light moving to heavier dishes. The choices and plenty and the belly only so big. So this isn't a place you can try once, as the first time, you'll need to explore the menu and see which tapas item really blows your mind. The chickpea fries are a must, though, and the bread. Just wow👌🏾 👏 .. and that fillet and the sauce.. best I've had in ages!! Will definitely return and perhaps in a smaller group, too. We were 8, and the waitron got a few items late and a few we had to repeat. Also, a few items on the menu weren't available. The lack of all items on the menu and the having to reorder made the experience slightly less awesome. But it could be tired staff and the size of the table, so let the food be your motivation to go.

Awesome experience! Loved every dish, small portions to share but full of flavour. Highlight was definitely the peanut butter dessert — hands down the best dessert I’ve had in Cape Town! Will be back.

Best fine dining experience ever 10/10 👌👌👌 highly recommended. Please make sure you book in advance - The scenery is absolutely amazing as it overlooks Cape Town and its quite high up in the air so the city lights is absolutely amazing. The menu viewable when scanning their QR code and you get to select your own fine dining course dishes that is sharable between two people and the amount of dishes you feel like - The chefs will send out the dishes as they recommend each other. They also have a vegetarian menu selection and a wide variety of wines and cocktails to order with your dishes. I highly recommend the "Quail & Sweetbeads" The food is AMAZING 👏 and you get to go view the kitchen with your waiter.

Not often you get restaurants that actually walks ahead of the talk. This 1 certainly does. Casual and fun dining experience. Every dish was so tasty. I actually ordered extra just incase I didn’t enjoy any, but enjoyed all of it. Amazing vibe, really busy kitchen, all under control though. Service was excellent and fast too. Well done.

Happen to ask for a recommendation for lunch and was referred to this restaurant by a local! This was my favorite meal during my entire stay in Capetown. The staff was very accommodating with my allergies and recommendations were on point! Looking forward to trying all the dishes on my next visit to Capetown. 🙏

We called 3 times to confirm our booking to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we had to wait a while for them to find our booking. Asked for better seats, but was seated next to a family with busy little kids. The restaurant was already noisy. Definitely not recommended for a romantic dinner. Usually, we wouldn't mind dining with families with kids but was looking for something different on this occasion.

It was an overall good experience. Food and service were great. The new premise and location takes some getting used to compared to their previous location. The seafood offering was a standout. The restaurant empties out rather earlier than expected.. at 11pm we were the last table still at the restaurant and the staff made us feel it was time to call it a night. But other than that, Samuel was excellent and attended to all our requirements comfortably. We will be back.

The old Beluga was my absolute favorite place to have sushi and cocktails for many, many years. Unfortunately, I don't quite feel that the new Beluga had the same standard of quality sushi or service as the old one. The sushi we had was good, but it wasn't anything I'd rave about. I also miss the old Beluga sushi plates / platters, which aren't presented on the new menus. We went for lunch in the week, and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but our waitress seemed distracted, and we didn't feel she was attentive. I do like the venue though, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. I will be back to try again.

Really great food and atmosphere. Went over the weekend and was a bit loud to have a conversation, around 85 to 90dB and it peaked just over 90dB later in the night. So potentially one should figure out if there is a live band if you want to have a chat. The live band was great. Service is rapid and staff was friendly. Highly recommend. Food isn’t exactly cheap, but that’s expected. At night the drive towards the entrance could seem confusing, from the outside it appears as though it’s the wrong place, but just follow Google maps. The parking itself is well lit. It’s a paid parking using a card and ticket machine.

The service I could not fault at all. The food speaks volumes for itself. The specials were a great addition to the pleasant experience. The environment well decorated and cooled. The drinks was spot on and when asked for something else they make a plan for you which is really nice. The sushi we ordered is really nice. The rice to fish ratio was adequate but not impressive. The fried tofu sushi was a great twist and tasted great. The different platters are more affordable for what they are during the specials though. Sashimi is really well done though.

Excellent service and great food at the new location. Love the indoor-outdoor layout and the premises is perfectly situated away from the usual business on the other side. I can’t find a single fault, and the effort to make it work does not go unnoticed. They are also halaal-friendly. With summer around the corner, the new premises will be an absolute hit.

Been a while since I went to Beluga since they moved to the new location, overlooking the port. I was surprised to find that the food was just as good as before the move. The sushi special is 50% off from 16:00 - 18:00, however was told that platters are only R100 off the original price after the order was placed. The sashimi was really good. The chocolate beignets were amazing as usual, but I miss the jug of butterscotch caramel as the drizzle on the plate is not to balance out the white chocolate.

We arrived at 5h45pm and sushi was at half price till 6pm. So we ordered our sushi for the evening which was amazing. Perfect amount of rice to salmon/tuna. The dumplings we ordered was full of meat and enjoyable. Service was great and efficient. Food fresh and delicious and very colorful. Are we returning YES. my advise malena booking . Being a Monday evening we thought the place would be empty but was Full.

Happy to see that Beluga is back in business as it has always been one of my favourite restaurants in Cape Town. From their Sushi specials and dim sums to their hot mains, desserts and cocktails - I love it all. Sushi has always been fresh and tasty regardless if it's from their specials menu or ordinary menu. Nice vibe, great service and affordable prices. Definitely recommend.

Last minute decision to go to Beluga for dinner in CBD after Decorex yesterday. Decided to visit Beluga despite some mixed reviews I have seen online. I want to keep this brief so here it goes in point form… 1. Restaurant looks really good and the view out on the harbour is cool 2. Service was excellent from all staff 3. Opted for the 3 course set menu. I had chicken livers as a starter which was delicious. 200g fillet for main which was perfectly cooked and orange cake for dessert which had an intense orange flavour which I loved. 4. Cocktails are very well priced and pack a punch. 5. They have a whisky and cigar lounge which is well stocked with over 130 whiskies as well as whisky lockers. As a whisky lover and collector I love this. 6. Every Saturday they have a different wine farm presenting their wines and you are able to purchase them at a small markup (will be going for this at some point) 7. One of the managers asked if we were celebrating anything special to which we replied yes and she did a small gesture which just added the cherry on top. Really great experience which I appreciate.
