Fantastic place to spend some beautiful times with family and see varieties of animals. They divided the zoo in different areas: Canadian, African, Asian, Prehistoric (which is really nice) based on the animal categories. Specially, the penguin place is really awesome. African rain forest is also great. Those who are interested in dinosaurs, the Prehistoric area is a must visit. Ample of parking on the north and west side of the zoo. The north parking lot is divided into three lots: A, B, and C. I think lot B is closest to the entrance. However, the north lot has a fixed daily rate of CAD 12 (which is good for people who plan to spend whole day, might not worth for people who spend only few hours). The west lot charges hourly rate, which might be good for people for short visit.

This was a really enjoyable experience. Great habitats for all the different animals, and a great variety. The gardens and butterfly house were exceptional too. We would have paid to see them on their own. So much shade, plenty of places to eat or picnic, many playgrounds and kid friendly exhibits. We caught the train from downtown. Very easy and quick.

Best zoo in Canada 🇨🇦!!! Superbly variety of special animals in this zoo, it’s really worth to visit at least once. 👌 Entry ticket 🎟️ charges is $35 per person. Parking 🅿️ 🚙 charge is $13 for whole day. Penguins 🐧 section is the best one ☝️ Usually 4-5 hrs can be spent here but full day is preferable. My kid really like it. It’s increasing the feather in the crown of Calgary in terms of tourism sector. 👍

We really enjoyed the walk through. I feel the animals are a little laid back at this time of year. Though it was reasonably quiet still on a busy day. The parks are a fun time for the kids. When you decide to take a leisurely stroll it works well. Grateful we had the opportunity to take the kids this year. :)

Every year I make sure I get to come to this great zoo. It's well-maintained, very clean and organized. This is great for adults especially for kids. You will learn a lot. Having fun while learning. So many varieties of animals that are being showcased here. I always have fun whenever I come here.

A really amazing place to bring kids and enjoy the outing. The zoo is kept clean and well maintained. Volunteers help guide to near exhibits and explore zoos in the best possible way. Don't hesitate to ask them. Cafe options are limited but they do serve good food. Overall we enjoyed it a lot and will definitely revisit

This zoo is wonderful. It is very large. We walked so much. The animals have lots of space and there are many zoo keepers and volunteers around to make sure the animals are taken care of. There are also additional things to manage foot traffic and crowds.

Beautiful place, it will be great to have more spaces for animals. Like open areas for Africa. The penguins were great! The dinosaurs are great! They are renovating the Canadian part. Now… all the workers have megaphones and sometimes they are using them too much. Things that they can tell you personally they use de megaphone. I put 4 stars because of this. Thanks!

Super fun for both kids and adults. The animals are well taken care of. My favourite part was the butterfly enclosure! There were so many gorgeous butterflies all throughout the conservatory garden ranging from different stages of life. I'd highly recommend visiting on a weekday early in the morning if you're not a fan of crowds, as this place gets extremely packed super fast.

Unfortunately many exhibits and buildings are closed due to Avian flu precautions. This was a true lazy Sunday. Not many animals moving around. Through no fault of the zoo itself, this was a lackluster experience. Any area with birds were closed. Gorilla and Otter pavilions closed. It's been years since I had been to this zoo and if seemed that many animals were gone and it was not as great as I remembered. This zoo used to rival Toronto zoo for the overall experience. It has Fallen backwards in recent years.

Best place to spend a day inside the city. I liked watching penguins , Alpaca lions and many more animals the most. It was like you are in a entirely different world. Watching bear accumulating leaves for making himself warm was an encouraging experience. Lions were all sleeping but nice. Some Sparrows 😍actually it was my awesome trip with my family ❤️parking lot also wider.

Those who are visiting for the very first time please be aware that this is going to hurt your legs a lot..😃 The area is large and you have to walk around especially if you have kids with you please take stroller with you (You gonna need it) If you have old age company plz take accessibility cart so they can enjoy too!! Now once you are in the zoo you will enjoy every minute here. Zoo keepers are there to help you with the path to follow but still having a map with you is a must. Enjoy nature and the animals. Keep an umbrella to protect against the sun ☀️.. Overall my experience was amazing. I was not even able to complete the first section of Africa Safari. I will visit again.

What a amazing way to spend a day!! 😍 This place is a must visit for any and everyone. The zoo was beautiful with lots of animals. The Dorothy garden was especially very beautiful. Make sure you have an entire day to spend here as the zoo is pretty big with lots of walking. We went there at 9am in the morning on Heritage day and it was just beginning to get crowded, so we were able to view a lot the animals relatively without much crowds. But by the time it was mid day there were a lot more people there, so make sure you plan accordingly. Overall this was an amazing experience and I am waiting to go back here once again.

Must see place when you are in Calgary. Easy to find it in the center, no need to buy tickets in advance - you can make it here (payment with cash or card). Going up by the elevator and then - amazing picturesque view to the entire city! We went there in the evening close to sunset, so we were able to make amazing photos with the sunset from different sides. Glass floor may seem to be kinda tension from the beginning but after all - isn’t it exciting to see the city under your feet? 😃 There is short movie about the construction of the tower and Alberta in general. Take time to watch it - useful information. There is restaurant here but it needs reservation (often crowded). I believe restaurant visitors can go to the tower for free - there is separate entrance for them. There is souvenir shop at the ground floor. Somehow high prices but worth looking. Take a look at the walls as well - there is information about different towers in the world.

The Calgary Tower is one of the most iconic and historic buildings of downtown Calgary. It has a revolving restaurant and an an observation deck on top. We did not try the restaurant as reservation is required. The views are expansive and amazing! Walking over the glass floor was also thrilling! All the staff members were also friendly and always ready to help you out with taking your photos. I gave it four stars because the tickets were a bit pricey.

What an amazing view !!! This place is a must visit and good for staying an hour or two. It has paid parking space nearby and entry tickets are available at counter in gift shop and online as well. At the observation deck you will also find a theater room, restroom and drinking water.

Very beautiful place, enjoyable & so lovely. Reservations are not recommended.. just visit and buy own tickets. Because after purchasing online you might not be receiving confirmation message due to server detect lead some hassle on checking nonetheless. So better just go and buy your tickets accordingly. You can take some drinks/ snacks with you in case the skydeck restaurant is closed. A particularly sophisticated trip to this birds eye view!

I have been to many observation towers around the world (Japan, Toronto, Malaysia, South Korea, etc.) I gave the Calgary Tower a try. A ticket costs $22. I think about 45 minutes is all you need on the observation deck. They have a water fountain on the observation deck too. The area has a brief video and some facts shown around the room. It is also the place where you can catch a bus to and from the airport which makes a day trip super convenient. The Calgary Tower reminds me of the same quality as KL Tower in Malaysia. They could do more with it.

The tower is definitely a worth while experience. I have gone up three times and it was fun, though there is not a lot to it. If you don't mind heights, you can stand on the glass floor or walk around the building and enjoy the incredible 360° views.

I love visiting observation decks of towers/skyscrapers, so Calgary Tower was on my must-visit list during my recent half-day stopover in the city. Although it is dwarfed by recent skyscrapers, it is still an iconic structure! I have to give a big kudos to the staff member working at the elevator foyer on the ground floor, welcoming and saying goodbye to visitors (Feb 25, afternoon) - she was so enthusiastic for what seemed like a repetitive job! The observation deck itself was clean, well-maintained, and seemed to be recently renovated. I visited on a clear day and the view was quite nice. There is a glass floor, clear panels describing the landmarks that you could see out of the windows, interesting information around the inner walls, and a short film about the tower's construction/history. There is a water fountain and seating to just take in the view. However, the stairs to the second floor are blocked. Hope they can find another use for that space. I thought it was interesting that the tower was built for the purpose of commemorating Canada's centennial year of 1967 (although it was completed in 1968), quite a few years before CN Tower was built. I wonder if the tower would have been designed to be much taller had it been the reverse order. We'll never know!

My son and i had a great time here. The glass floor is one of the best parts of the whole thing. I would definitely recommend eating in Sky 360 as well. The restaurant slowly turns while you eat. One revolution per hour. Such amazing views from all angles.

This is such a fun place to bring the family! There are so many things to do here. We rode the steam train, looked at the train cars, blacksmith shop, dentist office, rode on the rides, visited the gift shop, ate donuts and cotton candy. Then there was so much more we didn't get to do because we ran out of time. There are employees everywhere in costume to help out or talk about the different buildings and things to see. Everyone was so helpful and kind! The treats were yummy and reasonably priced. This time we were here with a school trip but we've been here before with just family. Love this place! Next time we'll visit the ranch and ride the boat.

Hadn't been here since I was a kid. Had an absolute blast as an adult. My work did a year end wrap up here and it was amazing! Complete with a scavenger hunt, prizes, and amazing I mean absolutely phenomenal food! I like how they keep their history up to date, add lots of interactive shows, and manage their displays really well. It's cool to see a bunch of Canadian history all in one place. I love that they share the history of every building. I will absolutely be returning soon!

Can't say enough good things about this place to be honest!! What an amazing way to spend an entire day. Please make sure you have ample time when you visit this place as there are just so many things to see. I went there about 1pm and hadn't explored half the park by 5pm. The train and buggy ride was really fun. The park is beautifully built with a lot of thought and attention to detail. I'm surely going to go back a second time to make sure I get to explore more of the park.

Such a great day out, even in the middle of winter! The buffet breakfast for 'Once Upon A Christmas' is simply the best buffet I've ever had, plus the staff are so friendly! Well worth the money. We've been going every year (except COVID in 2020 when it was closed) and we will continue to go as our family tradition.

I cannot recommend Heritage Park enough!! I'm a big fan of historic villages and this place checks every box for me. I brought my two nephews (4 and 2 years old) and they had the time of their life. Between riding the train, the amusement rides, and watching the live demonstrations, we were hooked on everything! Heavily considering getting a membership because this place is just awesome!

An excellent tourist attraction for everyone particularly an exciting and exhilarating place for a family with children. The heritage park village, in the proximity to Bow river and a huge dock, consists of clean green lawns, paved walking trails, and attractive statues of various animals. It also has a train that take you around the park. There are lots of tables everywhere to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenic views and electrified visitors. Also there are shops and restaurants near the entrance where you can buy souvenirs or ice cream of your choice. I wish, the park has so much to offer, that it remained open until at least 8:00 pm in summer. Unfortunately, it closes at five, so the security guards start chasing people away from 4:30. Isn't 4:30 too early to wind up and send the enthusiastic people away in the long sunny days in Calgary?

Absolutely gorgeous. The amusement park is fun for adults as well. I’d recommend wearing the comfiest shoes to walk around the park, and really get to see a lot more. If you enjoy boat rides, the steam boat is a must!

Always enjoy our trips to Heritage Park so much! The staff are always so friendly and kind, things are kept clean, and the grounds are gorgeous. If you think you might go a few times in the season it's worth getting a season pass! Lots to do so easy to have multiple visits and have each time feel different.

The Alberta Day (on 2/9/2023) celebration was held here! There was a drone show on 9pm. And throughout the day there’re a lot of booths such as live music show, kid corners, food trucks for you to enjoy. Besides, it’s a good opportunity for me to enter the heritage park for free! Normally there is a fee $30-40 for each entry.

I'm not a huge fan of tourist destinations but was visiting Calgary to see my 5 year old grandchild so if course went along for the fun. If you live in Calgary and whether you have children or not this is a must. My daughter decided to apply what she paid for 4 of us that day to a yearly pass as we were leaving. So worth it! It's pricey but once you get inside everything except food is free. In summer bring a picnic as the selection of grab and go food isn't great. They do have some dine-in restaurants but we thought too much time would be wasted with a 5 year old. The small midway is delightful with 100 year old rides with fantastic story boards. After spending 4+ hours there I was ready to go back the next day to explore more. Well done Heritage Park!

We have the best experience exploring the park. We rode the train to go around and eat ice cream and some other sweet staff they have. It was a great fresh air visiting the farm yard and the little town around. The vintage cars are cool as well.

Great place for family and kids. It has lot of rides for all ages. The building looks very genuine. The staffs are very helpful. I would recommend everyone to visit especially people living in Calgary. Annual subscription fee is reasonable.

What a place where you really get into the past! You can feel the real Wild West and take a ride on an old train. All vintage equipment works and is in excellent condition. There's also an amazing exhibition of vintage cars that you won't see anywhere else!

Having lived out here for 12 years I’ve only been to Stampede twice, with last week on Friday parade day being one of those. After two long years of the pandemic, it was nice to feel the energy and the excitement, and the rhythm of the music at the stampede grounds. It can get overly crowded for sure and unfortunately there’s always the ones that don’t know how to behave properly, but mostly overall people were having a good time. That’s what it should be about. I have to leave one star off because I don’t agree with the use of animals in entertainment, and inevitably there are always animals that get killed at this event which is an aspect I detest.

One must go to this stampede at least once if not every time. My favourite were the motorcycle stunts featured on a particular evening that I could not shoot but it was thrilling. Display by the Canadian army is also my favourite. There is something for everyone. Food , rides, children rides, face painting, betting, gambling, clubbing , alcohol, performing arts, live music and the high list spectacular fireworks. It’s very very busy during Calgary stampede but the joy is sometimes in the crowd n rush. Still the management of such a massive scale event is great. Everything flows smoothly. Buy tickets at the gate or online and you are zoomed into the GM huge grounds . Oh I forgot to mention the horse show. I missed it but I was happy just to see the stables. Must go place

So much fun for people of all ages! The rides are great fun. Food is delicious, and a huge variety. You could spend so much time here. Nashville North was great for dancing with friends! Musical acts are pretty popular as well. Saw Sheryl Crow a few years back for free. Such an amazing memory! Hoping to make it back here again in the future.

We didn't attend any of the main shows but we explored the other attractions and the food. It was loads of fun! After two years of pandemic isolation, it was really nice to be in this festive atmosphere surrounded by people enjoying themselves. One of the main highlights was the Elbow River Camp of the Indigenous people of the region. It was absolutely fantastic! We attended a dance performance there and at the same time learned more about their culture, traditions, and ceremonies. We also ate bannock with jam, which is a heavy but tasty snack. Definitely going to come back again next year!

Very nice, this was my first rodeo, it will definitely not be my last. I had a really good time in spite of people asking to be let out- back in- let out- back in-.... If you know you are going to have to keep moving you should get an outside seat. Smh

Rodeo was alot of fun! Going as a family you need 2 days at the stampede to really enjoy everything the park has to offer. ( rides, agriculture arena, dog show and entertainment, food, rodeo, fireworks, evening shows) We had a great time and will be back next year! ** Buy the day pass not stamps!! or rides will cost you a fortune.

The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth and rightly so lives up to its expectations each & every year we visit this place! One cannot get enough of the place in a day. Wish it would last more than 10 days in a year! On average 1.0M people visit the event each year from as far as Far East, Middle East, Europe and United States and from other parts of our great country Canada 🇨🇦

Aggi days. So many displays and things to see. Not as many animals but still enough variety. Excellent organization of the free event. Lots of volunteers. Majority of them very engaging. Thankyou!

2023 Calgary Stampede, first impressions is that the show has a lot going on and a lot of people attending. You just got to find your fun among it all. I would recommend the evening show on the first day.

Five stars for the rodeo! Absolutely fantastic! The rest....the kids entertainment is crammed in a little corner. So many children and parents waiting to see Paw Patrol and they have the tiniest little stage and seating area. They can't join in or even see half the time. Waited 1.5 hours to watch a 20 minute show because last year our son was at the back of a huge crowd and could not see a thing. Doesn't really feel like a celebration of western culture, just a 10 day fancy dress party aimed at people that will spend a ton of money on alcohol. Not really family friendly at all (except for kids day (morning) which is really good). I will state again though that the rodeo is fab! Wish we didn't have to go through the rowdy, drunken crowds to get out of the stampede grounds though and back to our vehicle.

Took in the 2023 Rodeo finals from the infield. It was an awesome show of dedication. The crowd was invested and the competition was fierce. Near perfect performances created champions that the crowd roared for. The midway is always a gong show. Crazy numbers of people. All the lineups you could ever want to wait in. And the food, you'll be glad you tried it but wish you didn't. The livestock and the shows and everything that stampede brings to Calgary is world class. And the Coke stage is always a must. Took in Mother Mother this year and it was just an awesome show. Plenty of people hate on the Stampede because it makes the city a little crazy with traffic, people and events, but it's really truly something to experience.

Prince's Island reminds me a lot of Vancouver. It's a nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is in an ideal location, right on the river and a few minutes from the downtown core. The park is considerably huge with large deciduous trees, lush gardens and a cafe on the island. With the changing of the season, the colourful leaves add a whole new beauty to it.

Nice park, not far from downtown Calgary if you're on foot. It was cold and windy when we went there, but the parked seemed nice nonetheless. We saw many squirrels and there are beautiful flowers everywhere. Also a good spot to take some pictures of Bow River, but in a sunny day it must be much nicer.

Another great place to skate/cycle or just walk and take in the nature and beauty of the city. Been ruined lately from all the protesters in the area. But if you can ignore those losers than it’s still enjoyable.

This is a beautiful park with trails going both sides of the river, with nice little spots to hang at. There's a food truck here aswel. Family friendly, but high traffic of bicycles, roller skating, joggers and scooters along the trail. Absolutely amazing park in the summer ☀️.

Prince Edward's park is nestled in a serene neighborhood of Calgary, and it offers a peaceful and picturesque escape from the city's hustle and bustle. I visited this park during July end. The park is very beautiful and clean. The neighborhood is lovely. The park is on the banks of Bow River. Water is dark blue and looks very scenic. However, parking was limited. We went to the peace bridge, and even though it was under construction, the bridge looked beautiful.

The best park in Calgary. It is a beautiful place where you can feel the relaxed and peaceful nature very close to downtown. Many people come here to enjoy picnics or exercise. I also visit this park often for chilling. And there are many animals living here, such as Canadian goose, squirrel, magpie, crow, and sparrow. I'm happy just watching them. If you are new to Calgary, you must visit this park!

Prince's Island Park is a beautiful oasis in downtown Calgary. When you're here, it no longer feels like you're in the hustle and bustle of downtown. There's so much greenery and old trees surrounding the bow river. There's plenty of space to sit and have a picnic. Paths interwind and flow through the park, inviting you to walk, bike, or take a scooter on them. And many people do as the paths we took were quite busy. And if you want a nice meal, River Café situated in the middle of the park serves some delectable dishes. I genuinely feel lucky to live in this city.

A nice park for family going on weekend and workers spending their day off. Great grass land surrounding playgrounds. The park is on the bow river, connected with bridges, the most famous and iconic one is Peace Bridge. The park was built on land, and donated in 1947 to the city by the Prince family. Prince Island park is the Central Park in New York. Amazing place to visit if you are tourist.

We are visiting our friends in Calgary and decided to come here for an evening stroll and we were not disappointed. The river walk is absolutely stunning with fast flowing water just looking incredible on a sunny day. You will see a lot of people on the sidewalk and in the park along with their furry friends. All in all, great experience. Will return here in future.

Very scenic, beautiful Island and Park. Take a stroll around the various pathways, enjoy taking a breather on benches to take advantage of look-out spots. I spotted Squirrels, Robins, Ducks and other various birds. The Café was lovely too. Enjoy!

Calgary has plenty of beautiful parks all over the city, and Prince's Island Park is, definitely, one of the most popular and visited parks in downtown that has picturesque downtown, river, and waterfront views. In summer, the park is thronged by a variety of people of all the ages and interests. cyclists, walkers by themselves or with their furry friends and joggers are seen on the trails on either side of the river and on the over bridge. There are lots of trees and lush green grounds with benches to enjoy the nature and the river. There is a children playground with various equipment to keep them active and occupied in the natural surroundings. Also, a cafeteria and washrooms are on the park to cater to the needs of visitors. The amazing park has lots to offer to every kind of people, for free. Walking along the river filled me and my wife with enormous exhilaration.

Top quality food and service. The ambiance consists of muted lighting, moderate and pleasant background music. I do feel that the bathroom lighting could be brightened up a little bit but that did not detract from an otherwise excellent dining experience. Vero is one of the few restaurants in Calgary with consistently high quality food and service. Our server was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu. 10/10 would come again...excellent spot for a romantic date night dinner.

First, the bartender was quite talented. We had two perfect martinis and a wonderful bottle of wine, ending with a 20 year twany port. The food was beautifully plated. Wish the escargot was pared with a nice French bread. The pasta was perfect but the stew was just plain. Over all satisfied and will be happy to come back to see how they improve.

Our first time visiting here! Started with a starter biscuit, it looked and tasted too fancy for me.. we order the 2 people meal, and got this summer special salad. It was the best salad I've had all my life!! And we ended with lamb meat, lobster pasta and steak! It was delicious except for the fact that I don't like lamb meat.. after we were done, we were able to take it home😭 Their atmosphere was really nice to go for a date!!

Took someone out on a birthday dinner here! It was absolutely lovely. We came a little bit early for our reservation and were able to get a table right away luckily. Since we both weren't super hungry, we ended up splitting a salad, the lobster bisque and the lamb kabobs. Everything was absolutely delectable. And we're already planning our next foray back for more lamb kabobs. The meal was very fast to come to our table which was slightly frustrating because our kabobs got cold while we were trying the rest of the food. We also got lots of different drinks to try, I highly recommend the amaretto sour. It was perfect. It is a little pricey but I would say it's worth every cent ☺️

This is what quality is all about. The server was very kind and apologetic she had to sit us later than our reservation time. Got some complimentary dessert and skewers! BUT I wanna talk about how amazing and flavorful the surf and turf was. The chef must’ve put her soul into that my goodness. I enjoyed every bite and cleaned every single plate! First time there and def not my last.

Incredible food and service. Well worth the money you pay for the quality of dishes and portion sizes. Chad was my waiter and he was super friendly, helpful, and was willing to take pictures for us. Love Vero. Second time dined in there. This time had the Surf and Turf tasting menu. Enjoyed it every bit. Lamb chop was super tender, same as the steak, both were seasoned very well too. The two dipping sauce came with the platter were tasty, not salty or anything. The size of the lobster tails in the mac & cheese were not that big but decent. Coconut prawns 🍤 were in the salad, liked it. For the first visit, loved all the dishes ordered, especially the signature sweet potato gnocchi, a must try. Good service, romantic environment.

Sat on the patio and had 3 appys, couple beers and the gnocchi. Everything was spectacular, the server was accommodating and value was on point.

The server was very kind and professional. They gave us excellent service. We had the Surf and Turf and everything was perfect and delicious. The ambience is fancy and romantic.

Best unplanned late brunch ever! We were walking in the area when decided to stop for a bite at NOtaBLE. It was almost empty, a could count more staff members then people at the tables! We just skipped brunch rush and it wasn't quit dinner time yet. I would say it was perfect timing. Brunch/ lunch menu was served. 1/4 chicken and brisket sandwich were amazing. The wood stove smell just made it all better. I love open kitchen, you can see everyone doing their thing and preparing for the dinner time. Our server was outstanding and he mentioned that mostly works nights so hopefully we can run into him again sometime for the dinner!

Notable never disappoints. The food is delicious and the service excellent. My gf and I shared 4 appetizers for lunch and had leftovers. I love the deconstructed Cesar Salad with seared scallops. The Potato Rolls were beautifully presented and tasty as well. This would be a go-to place whenever friends and family come into town or luncheon with the lady pals.

Beautiful and ambient atmosphere. Service was fair. Food was good, but prices are higher than anticipated. The Noteable rotisserie chicken was phenomenal, but meat was slightly drier than expected. The open beef brisket sandwich was amazing!

The flavors are next-level, and the dishes are beautifully presented. It's a top-notch spot for a special night out or a tasty treat anytime - definitely worth a visit! 🍽️👌😋

Really great restaurant with amazing service and delicious food. Highly recommend trying the bison or their famous chicken. Was very disappointed with how hot the restaurant was and lack of air conditioning.

We had a 6:45 pm reservation last night. Restaurant was not overly busy at all. We were seated to out table right away. The hostess and sever were excellent. Friendly greeting and sever really took the extra effort to accommodate my daughter's dairy and egg allergy. We ordered 3 appetizers. The Caesar salad, Calamari and the Ravioli. The caesar salad was delicious. Had little bits of cured bacon and the the lettuce was roasted a bit to give it a light char flavour. The Calamari was cooked perfectly and the various sauces and little slices of jalapenos gave it a nice kick. The Ravioli was also very good. It was loaded with sea food and the pasta bite was perfect. The creamy sauce was very good with some salmon eggs. After the appetizers the main Entrees took a very long time to get out. We wait over 45 minutes after the appetizers. That is a reason I took a start off cause the food took so long to get out. My half chicken was okay. The legs were very moist but my breast was dry. The mash potatoes were buttery and the green beans gave it some nice crunch. The duck breast was very good. It was cooker perfectly and the flavours were very complex. I had a few bites and I enjoyed it. The Pizza and the Fries were for the kids and it was ok. Fries were a little burnt for my liking. For dessert we had the chocolate pudding. Kids pretty destroyed that. I had one bite and it was very rich in chocolate. Overall it was a very good meal. If the food would have came out faster and my chicken breast was not dry I would have gave this restaurant a higher rating. This restaurant is known for their chicken so to fail on that is a big hit in my books. I think maybe the forced the chicken to cook faster just based off the time it took to come out.

This is an awesome place for a celebration, date night, or just a regular night! I have come to NOtaBLE several times over the years and will still plan to dine here. On this occasion, I had the pork potato rolls and the half rotisserie chicken. The potato rolls are interesting and stuffed full with pulled pork. It is a bit heavy as an appetizer and perhaps would be better with a thicker potato layer wrapping the pork. The chicken was flavorful and was tender. The accompanying mashed potatoes are heavy on the garlic (depends if you like this) and the green beans/carrots were cooked well. The veggies can be seasoned a bit too much and can be a bit greasy. The portions are large - you will definitely be full! Not shown in the picture are their cream puffs and cheese cake which can be hit and miss. The pastry of the cream puff is not as light or fluffy as hoped and the cream heavy. The cheese cake was dense and had a strong cheese flavor (this might have been blue cheese) but this part is probably more personal preference.

Came here with my partner and some friends when we were on vacation and it was so worth it. We got multiple steak tartares for the table and it changed my life! It was so gooood, would highly recommend. I got the lamb sirloin and it was so tender and yummy and my partner got the bison and really enjoyed it! If you’re debating between the lamb special or the lamb sirloin, I would definitely recommend the lamb sirloin. Good portion sizes too! Will definitely come back when we visit!

We had brunch last Sunday. Nice spot and location. The food was good. The atmosphere and view out the windows was also good. We understood it was a busy time but it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. As an adult, we can talk and take time until food arrives. But it was challenging with 1 child and 1 toddler. We were a party of 8 people, but the restaurant just put together 2 small tables together in middle of the hall. With one toddler in a high chair, there simply was too little space for all of us and we felt cramped, in high traffic area of the restaurant. I would probably come back when my children are grown up or with smaller party.

Went to River Cafe for our anniversary dinner. The outdoor seating was a bit more packed than my liking. Tables are placed very close together. Food is great in general. Service is lovely. Having dinner outdoor in a park setting is very relaxing. Just the noise level is a bit loud, it is hard to carry a low volume conversation.

Nice ambiance, delicious and well prepared dishes using only local ingredients. Our server Antony is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Do start with the hummous which has a diverse range of flavours! Every main course dish we tried was intriguing and delicious. Good wine selection. Hint: tried several highly recommended restaurants, and this is my favourite. As restaurant is located inside a park, do wear (or ask for) bug sprays. I got many bites despite seated indoor.

One of our favorite brunch places when we are in town. The menu is seasonal, so choices remain fresh. Food was delicious. Just be aware that they charge $1 per person for either sparkling or still water, so come thirsty my friends!

The service was friendly yet professional and the dishes were served in a logical order. We first got our coffee, then the pastry trio, and finally the mains. Everything tasted as good as they were diligently presented. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee (they used Monogram Coffee, a local roaster) and the fresh butter and blackberry jam that came with the pastry. We will definitely come back.

Went here for Mother’s Day and I must say the food was very delicious.The restaurant was understandably busy but the staff was very friendly and apologized profusely. They kept on asking if we needed anything and made sure it was a pleasant dining experience. I can see why River Cafe was just ranked one of the top restaurants in the country and wholeheartedly recommend.

The best decision we made for our wedding was booking with River cafe. The planning process with them even during the covid19 pandemic was fantastic! June and the team went above and beyond, and helped us with some of our personal requests which they carried out perfectly. The venue is a beautiful location for any private and intimate event. The staff & experience at river cafe on the night of the wedding was amazing. Everything was on time & handled expectionally. They had more than enough staff to make sure a full venue with plated dinner was served within a few minutes after the head table. They kept in constant communication with us throughout the night and went above and beyond to make sure we were having a night we could never forget. The quality of food and drinks were fantastic! Everything was truly perfect. Even now we still have our family and friends rave about how amazing and how much they enjoyed the food, staff and atmosphere of river cafe. If we could give above 5 stars for our review we would. Thank you to the team at River cafe for making the most important day of our lives so special to us!!

The decor and atmosphere in this beautiful place is what draws me here. The patio is nestled in the middle of the park. The rustic yet stylish restaurant feels welcoming and elegant. Having said this the food doesn’t feel like it fits the elegance. The presentation is decent. The food is tasty enough. Our service experience this time was just ok. We waited a while to have our orders taken. The restaurant was maybe 25% full at the time. Our server had tables on the patio as well as inside so it was difficult to get her attention. I had to ask the hostess to let her know we were ready to order having waited too long. It was mid-week lunch and most of us had to go back to work. You have to park outside of the park before walking in through the construction in Eau Claire. It will likely be a while before I come back.

The food and atmosphere was amazing. The vibe is perfect to be a riverside Cafe. Ordered the Fish and Game board, and the smoked salmon is to die for. I would highly recommend the 'Smoked Salmon Tartelette' as a main. It was delicious, creamy, and came with a salad and mid boiled egg. The portion size for this was perfect. I will definitely be back again. The only problem is they were very slow. Even the customer beside us got frustrated. It is wedding season and a lot of people are coming in large groups. So I'm hoping it was just a fluke.

Great food and service, but you really pay a premium for the View! I definitely wouldn't pay $46 for the duck again. Also I was disappointed that they only gave me vanilla ice cream for dessert, after spending over $250 for our dinners. At least give a small piece of cheesecake or chocolate tart to enjoy! The lamb and the scallops were delicious, and the birthday card was a nice touch.

We got invited by our good friends from the North, they made reservations 😁. Service is top notch considering the dish prices... Great view of downtown as the restaurant rotates while you eat. Food is high quality but small portions, I was hungry after my meal, so we ended up going for ice cream. Over all a good experience, however if you wanted to go to the observation deck above the restaurant, it's not free as it used to be and that was a disappointment, especially after spending a lot of $ in the restaurant. Average prices are $30-50CAD

The view is 4 stars; food wise, it's mediocre. For this price, I would expect the food would be more flavorful. We ordered the tower breakfast, sausages were bland and too hard, tastes like sitting there for the entire morning; mushrooms toast, mushrooms were nice and buttery, but the toast was totally charred and tastes burnt, the salad dressing was way too sour, poached eggs were over done. Service side would deserve all the stars. The host was very friendly and inviting.

Awesome views, nice atmosphere, very good service, food was great. We have a great evening, our waiter was very nice and kind. The prices are quite affordable. We are local and definitely going again. I wish the upper level was free when dining in the restaurant but well, we went up and enjoy the views.

Best birthday dinner ever at a restaurant. My friends took me out for dinner at this place for our girls trip to Calgary. Our server's name was Michael and he was wonderful- greeting us and making us feel at ease at this revolving restaurant. He let us know that we should avoid putting our stuff on the ledge otherwise it would disappear lol. The view of Calgary was wonderful and entertaining. Dinner was trout for me and one of my friends, but my other two friends ordered duck with Farro and they enjoyed same but the trout we ordered was cooked very rare. The manager came by asked us about the meal and my friend and I told him we never had ours yet because they took it back to be fixed. He promptly took care of us and made sure our trout would be taken care of and also took off the trout on our bill even though the second time it was cooked perfectly. We would have preferred less sauce though, but that is just our feeling. The best part of the meal was the dessert, the devils chocolate cake with raspberries. It was the best cake I ever had at a restaurant and I am a baker so I know my stuff. The cake was moist and not rich. I loved the light cake as it had the perfect amount of sweetness. This was just an amazing end to a lovely dinner. I commend everyone that helped us from the time we walked in to time we walked out.

Absolutely delicious! The waiter we had was great to talk to and great service as well. Zero complaints and highly recommended. Especially if you want a great view of downtown Calgary and enjoy a great experience the city offers.

Came to Alberta for a birthday vacation & wanted to celebrate a birthday here at the tower. The food was amazing & our server was great. I did find it odd for a birthday they brought out whatever dessert you ordered but with a candle & will appear on the bill. I’ve been to fine dine restaurants as well as tower ones where dessert for an occasion is complimentary. I expected to pay regardless but the server mentioned she’d prepare something special at the end for dessert which didn’t help the impression.

The food was very yummy and Emilie was super friendly and a lovely host! We had the wagyu tartar, duck, and the striploin which were both delicious, especially the tartar and duck! The views are amazing and I would recommend booking closer to sunset. Emilie also brought us out some complementary ice cream and a sweet card for my boyfriend’s birthday. Overall a great experience! :)

We went on July 21 and I took my niece for dinner who was visiting from Mexico City. I will Highlight how cool is to go to a spinning restaurant in a new city. That I can give 5 stars. The homemade focaccia was superb! My niece loved her burger and I ordered the cauliflower and it was tasty. We shared the chocolate cake and I could tell right away it was from a box. Not impressed with the mundane flavour. They can do so much better with the menu specially at those prices. Our server was the best! I don’t remember his name but he made the experience enjoyable. On the other hand, the hostess was a bit harsh. We went there half an hour later than the reservation but texted them ahead of time. When we got there she said out visit would be shortened to 1 hour?? Like what? I would be eating and then you would kick me out at the hour? Get a grip!

Great view, but you definitely pay a premium for the view. I wasn't impressed with the food, for appetizer I had the wedge salad and I just got a huge chunk of cabbage (with just very little cheese and bacon bits sprinkled on the top), for the main course I had the steak, and there so many rubbery and chewy parts in it, which was absolutely not expected from a high standard restaurant like this. Service and ambience was great though, but the food really disappointed.

Quaint little setting perfectly lite for a relaxing evening dinner. Server and host we’re cherry and delightful As well as personal and helpful with menu selection and recommendations. Very attentive to our needs. The food was enjoyable with beautiful charring on the steak and salmon favourite was the appetizer and wine. Price was a little bit high in comparison to other calibre restaurants, flavour decent but not outstanding though the atmosphere and service offset these points.

Been here twice, three days apart. The service is great, Eloise was very quick and attentive and pleasant and made our experience very enjoyable, all other staff were also very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the menu and the intricacies of managing dining tables. They were extremely attentive even though it was quite busy, and very friendly and kind. The location itself has street parking all around the place (we came on a weekend and then after 6). The atmosphere inside is a classic steak place, the booths were very comfortable. The food was delicious and extremely well priced. The wagyu appetizer, the tuna tartare, and the smoky trout would be my recommendations. I preferred the béarnaise sauce over the red wine with the filet mignon. Their cocktails also are great quality. The deserts (sticky toffee pudding, and the tiramisu) are our go-tos. Definitely will be back again !!

Although I consider this one of the top places for steak in Calgary, it's nice to see their other dishes are equally delicious. Highly recommend the gnocchi and scallops. Service was excellent and atmosphere is always great. Their brussel sprouts will leave you lusting for more.

The service was amazing. Tara was so sweet and attentive. We were sharing a dish and without asking, she had gotten the dish split into two for us. They were also testing out a new dish and had the chef serve “Paella” on the patio, as a new sample dish. There were people who came by that had asked for a sample and they were so kind about sharing it with other people.

Had a fantastic dining experience here recently and will definitely be going back as I’ll be spending more time in Calgary and always love a place like this I can count on. We were lucky enough to go when it wasn’t overly busy and snagged a great spot on the patio beside the street. The street it is situated on provides a great atmosphere all on its own. Great people watching, with local buskers strewn throughout the area. We were greeted by Drew, who was top notch from start to finish. My dining partner already had a drink in mind and ordered off the menu. I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted and have an idea to Drew of the flavour profile I was after. He seemed to welcome the challenge sand the drink he brought me was exactly what I was looking for. She ordered the Hunter Chicken and I got the New York Striploin. Both of them were plated excellently. Flavour wise, I tried the chicken and it was quite good. Seasoning was a bit lacking and this cooking method isn’t quite enough to let the chicken to the talking by itself. Similar experience with my steak. Seasoning left something to be desired. Quite good but a bit sear heavy for a generally tougher cut. A pre-bake and rest during prime hours can go a long way. I have the same criticism of most steak houses. Just one man’s opinion. Drew came back and checked on us exactly the right amount of times and always a great little chat. I ordered an espresso after we were done dining. By this time, a fair few new tables had recently arrived and were seated. In the bustle of it all, my espresso order was lost. When Drew came back, I told him that if it wasn’t on the way, not to worry about it and we were good with the cheque. He went in and made it himself immediately and wouldn’t allow me to pay for it. If somehow that came out of his pocket, I hope the tip more than made up for it. I’ll certainly be seeing y’all soon and can’t wait to try some of your smaller dishes. They looked delicious. We just popped in for a casual dinner and ended up getting the big date experience haha. Thank you again to Drew and all the staff for the great experience.

Visited this restaurant twice so far. My first experience with this restaurant was beyond and above my expectation. So i went there again on last Friday, my medium rare steak came over cooked. it looked/tasted more like medium well or even well done. other than that, staff were kind and helpful.

We had such an excellent experience here! We all ordered the steak, which was cooked correctly, and which was juicy and tender. For appetizers we had the calamari, the tuna tartare, and the beef carpaccio, all of which were excellent and we would definitely order again. We tried for dessert the lava cake, butter cake, and toffee pudding, and again they were all incredible. The best part of the night though was our server, Tara, she was hospitable, kind, fun, and has an awesome sense of humor. Her service tonight was the cherry on top of an epic evening.

We enjoyed our last meal in Canada at Saltlik and it was excellent. We had the Grilled Salmon With black truffle ravioli, asparagus, oven-dried tomatoes, with truffle beurre blanc sauce, and the Angus beef sirloin with mashed potatoes and maple mustard brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were the best I've ever had. The service was equal to the food.

I’ll preface this with an experience that became a series of unfortunate events. I truly feel that an inexperienced server should not have been assigned to our table of 12 guests. Drink orders were not taken in a timely manner, nor were our food orders. I completely understand it is etiquette to wait for all guests to arrive before ordering mains, but a lot of our guests were in and out for a smoke and we were ignored until we waved our server down repeatedly. Communication was lacking for the entirety of our dinner service. All we wanted was to at least start with drinks and appetizers but our server kept hiding away for gosh knows what. Though the majority of our food was quite decent, the overall experience left us with a bad taste in our mouths right ‘til the bitter end. The manager spoke to our party head and gave him a gift card and bottle of Prosecco to make up for the disappointing experience. Over 1800 reviews due to longevity in the food scene still means something obviously. Funny enough, a fellow foodie friend who saw my food posts was surprised that Saltlik was still around. I’d like to know what happened? They used to be outstanding!

Came to this restaurant with high hopes but was left disappointed because of the steaks. Wagyu carpaccio - 9/10 Beef had a rich smoky flavour to it, pickled shallots and mustard added the acidity that it needed to cut through the cheese and meat. Bread was on the oilier side, and the meat could have been colder. Wok-fired calamari - 8.2/10 Different take on calamari being that it's not deep fried/ crispy. Seasoning is great. Lack of a crunch threw me off, some pieces were a little soggy. Kobe fat fries - 8.5/10 One of the best fries I've had texture wise. Satisfying crunch and their horse radish/mustard dip has a nice kick. The fries themselves lack seasoning though. Angus beef sirloin - 3/10 One of the worst steaks I've ever had at a restaurant. Meat was so tough and hard to chew through that my friend had to spit a piece out. Steak lacked salt. Mashed potatoes were okay, brussel sprouts with the maple mustard dressing saved the dish. Filet mignon - 4/10 Easier to chew but that's a given with this cut. Basically the only upside compared to the sirloin. Also lacked salt. Vanity Fair Cocktail - 8/10 Nice refreshing cocktail. Sticky Toffee Pudding - 7.8/10 Nice presentation with the caramel chip. Toffee sauce is good, can be overly sweet to some. Pudding itself was moist. Caramel chip is quite thick and got stuck in our teeth when chewing. There could have been more ice cream for the amount of pudding there was.
