There is a lot of history in this plaza. It is a beautiful place to walk. Go mid day for less crowds. Many locals work in this area so traffic and uber rides get a little crazy around 4 PM. Plan to spend about 1 hour here, unless you go in the museums or a Cafe - then plan longer.

We were lucky and were visiting here when it wasn't that crowded and were able to look around in peace. A very nice place.

Also know as the Pink House, this government building house is the President's workplace. If you see there's a second Argentinian flag pulled up, means he is in the office today! He apparently lives 16 km away in a home, typically transported via helicopter. Interesting facts here about the Pink House include: 1. It was built in 3 periods, from left-to-right, that's why the measurements aren't all symmetrical 2. The right side of the building has been removed to make way for the scenic view of the river a while back 3. The pink color was in fashion back then if they wanted to stand out from the white buildings. White buildings often have a limestone wash. To make it pink, they would mix that with cow blood from nearby farms. Today that wouldn't fly because the vegans and vegetarians would probably protest 😂 so it's just normal paint today!

A beautiful building, particularly at night - right in the centre of Buenos Aires. It was not possible to see inside whilst we were there, but it must be equally fantastic inside. We did witness many demonstrations outside, concerning the many 'missing people' in Argentina. The plaza outside the pink palace (as it's commonly known) is the location for most such demonstrations.

Casa Rosada is the President Palace in Buenos Aires of Argentina. Similar to the White House in the USA except "pink" and I'll explain the pink color, later.

The office of the president of Argentina, a national historic monument. Completed in 1898. You can catch a wonderful photo opportunity during the lowering of the national flag ceremony. At that time the national guards in the traditional uniforms march out of the palace. The flag is being lowered accompanied by the horn played by one of the guardsmen. The others stand guard saluting with their sabers. Another great opportunity is at night when the palace is beautifully lit and there's nobody around. Don't miss.

This is an awesome Opera House and Ballet Theatre, ranked among the finest in the world. The great hall has perfect acoustic. The history of how it was built, taking 16 years and under the leadership of 3 architects, was most intriguing. Marbles of specific colours for various parts of the main entrance, stairs, railings, walls, etc., were imported from different countries in Europe. Beautiful painted ceilings and chandeliers helped to showcase the grandeur of the opera house. It is clearly an iconic landmark of Buenos Aires and worth seeing for any visitor to this city.

A wonderful temple of art for all people. The beauty of the building and the wonderful sound create a magical atmosphere of perfection. One can only enjoy being here. The buildings and interior decoration are just as beautiful as it is pleasant to see people who have come here. These people want to join the great classics and I am pleased to be with them. Really just the most beautiful. I am biased since I practically live in the theatre but still, every time I walk onto the stage, its immense beauty never fails to overwhelm me. This place is truly magical.

Breathtaking. Magnificent. Wonderful. Astonishing. Stunning Incredible. I'm getting out of compliments for this place because it's simply fabulous! The architecture is mind-blowing and the acoustic is pretty awesome. They even have kinda like a bar area where you can order wine, whisky, champagne, beverages and they even sell alfajores and sandwiches. You can also book a table. If you are visiting Buenos Aires then you MUST visit this theatre. Buy your tickets at least one week in advance, the locals are passionate about their culture and the tickets tend to sold out relatively fast, so expect to see this theatre completely full. The whole experience was magical and beautiful, I'm sure you'll love every single second of your time here.

Amazing to see and an excellent guided tour. Can strongly recommend visiting for the tour, you may want to book online (very easy process) to ensure you get into one of the English tours (if you're an English speaker). The architecture and history of the building was very interesting and it was all very impressive.

Wonderful tour of the opera house. Truly a stunning building and a must-do in the city. However, cost of guided tour for only 1 hour was very high especially for non-locals (2000 pesos more than for local residents). As revealed on the tour, this doesn’t seem in line with the cost of the performance tickets, which apparently start from as little as 1-2usd.

The guide tour of theater Colon is fun and highly recommended even if the lights are being tested. We enjoyed the tour so much we came back to attend a ballet. We had parterre center seats. We highly recommend attending a shoe in this beautiful place with a great local Orchestra and fantastic acoustic. It is one of the best things to do in BA.

My favourite opera in the world! Excellent acoustic. The experience is unique. The Argentinian audience is so grateful after each opera. Last time with Anna Netrebecko, the ovation lasted more than five minutes. You can do the tourists visit. It could be difficult to get tickets, but not impossible. You can try the same day.

National Geographic crowned it "world's most beautiful bookstore" in 2019: couldn’t agree more. Although I confess, I don’t know enough libraries to have this opinion, I can’t imagine another bookshop living me so breathless. Everywhere you look, there’s books. And even better: organized books. So you can choose either enter place and look exactly for what you need without hassle or you can lose yourself in all this place has to offer. There’s also inside a place to have something to eat or drink. So you can browse around, have a nice break and leave the decision of which books to buy for when you have eaten and are ready to go. Sounds like I could spend a whole day here… without even realizing it.

Such a nice bookstore that used to be a theatre a later they even had their own radio station until the building transformed into a bookstore in 2000. I didn’t come to buy books but I read reviews that there are almost no English book so if that’s what you are looking for might need to know about that. The cafe is also know to have one of the best coffee but to be honest it looked absolutely not aesthetic at all compared to anything else in the bookstore. In any case, it’s worth visiting due to its beautiful interior

BEST STEAKS I’VE EVER HAD!! Its astronomically rare that I give a 10/10!!! The meats were high quality, well cooked, incredibly flavored, and juicy!! The service was beyond anything I’ve been to, the portions are solid!! They also had french fries which weren’t how I like them, but still good!!

I came into Don Julio with mild expectations because I didn’t want to be disappointed if I were to have followed the rave reviews and restaurant rankings. I wouldn’t say I was disappointed in my experience, but I didn’t love it. The food was good, there’s no doubt about that. However, the price does not match the quality. I’ve been to quite a few other restaurants just in Palermo that have given the same or better quality food at much lower prices. But still, the food at Don Julio was good. What made me not love my experience was mainly the service and atmosphere. My service was bumpy in the beginning with a 15 minute delay on receiving water, 10 minutes for a wine menu, etc.. And when the time came to order food, a new waiter came to my table and said nothing… he just stood there until I began asking if I could order with him. It was odd, but not unfriendly by any means. When it came to paying, after I paid with card, the waiter also asked for a 5.000 tip right there, which was odd to me. I had no problem giving that much of a tip, but the way it was brought up was odd and unprofessional in my opinion. Lastly, the outdoor seating at Don Julio was not comfortable to me. It was cold with a slight breeze and their heaters tried, but did not mitigate the cold. I didn’t hate my experience, but I didn’t love my experience. I wouldn’t return, and I wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

I had a great experience of eating at Don Julio, the world’s best steakhouse 🥩 I came to Buenos Aires with the one Nobel goal, to eat 😊, Buenos Aires may be known as the Paris of South America, Paris or not, it is definitely the foodie’s capital of South America. I was lucky enough to get into Don Julio on My first night, what an experience! Definitely lived up to it’s reputation. So how was it? Firstly. The service there is second to none. Very accommodating. Very nice. Very professional. The food was great. The wine was great the experience was great. Highly recommend. 🥩

Best Argentinian steakhouse I’ve ever visited. Hands down. Service is first rate, wine selection superb, meat is so high quality, it’s a crime to order or well done. The apps and side dishes were also superb: all seasonal and spectacular in flavor as a result. Don’t look for asparagus outside of spring and stick to heirloom tomatoes in the summer (grape types hanging off the ceiling and walls!). Did my best to photograph the whole wine and food menus so you have an up to date sense of where things stand. Be prepared to pay for the best Argentinian steakhouse in the world. Don’t get me wrong there are some inconveniences too. Make a reservation and keep your confirmation number. Otherwise be prepared to wait, a long time.

It was an amazing experience, mind blowing food and great value for money. If you're in Buenos Aires this is an absolute must!!! And actually plan it ahead and book.

Don Julio does not disappoint. We had a reservation and still waited about 35 mins to be seated. The meat is fantastic and very worth the wait. The place is LOUD. Parking is nearly impossible, best by cab. Food- fantastic. Service could be better. Definitely not 5 star but the good is.

Dined in and paid between 6:30-8:00pm (happy hour) to enjoy 40% off the entire bill. We ordered sirloin steak (800g) and tomahawks. The steaks are great even though not the best we have had. Waiter is friendly. Additional side orders are provided. A great experience overall.

It was our third visit in 10 days in Buenos Aires. All of their staffs were always smiling, friendly, helpful and professional, but the one who stood out the most was Nelson! Full of characters, attentions to details and he made our anniversary dinner even more fun and memorable. Definitely a must visit place if you're in Buenos Aires!

A visit to Buenos Aires is incomplete without tasting the culinary delight of Argentinian meat, (Beef) at the La Cabrera. But a warning! You need a reservation. We waited for nearly 40 minutes as we did not have one and then the management were gracious enough to find us a large table for our large group . But once in the restaurant, we were plagued with aromatic delights which made our hunger even keener. Fresh baked bread with olive oil and dips with some great wine assuaged some of the hunger while we were helped make our choice for dinner. What was suggested and ordered was 4 portions ( we were 10 of us) of mixed steaks or Beef. One each from different parts of the body . Tenderloin, T Bone, Flank... you got it! Served with salad, fries, baked potatoes and more bread. Dear readers, one cannot even start to describe the aromatic soft juicy treat which we were served. Our stomachs were full but our desires remained unfulfilled. One just anted to eat more, envelop f was ourselves with more of the fragrance.It was a night one did not want to end. The staff was absolutely on the dot, smiling away and running us, encouraging us and plying us with more wine. Make an appointment with this gastronomical paradise on your next visit to Buenos Sires. You will not regret it.

Update: My friend told me to return and try the restaurant again. I went back and the experience was much better. The food is incredible. I am not sure what happened the first time I went. 4/5 Stars because of the first experience Was told to go to the next location with was across the streets. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes. Everything was unorganized and couldn’t tell which line to be in and then realized that I needed to put my name down after waiting. I was told the food is great but not worth waiting and not knowing what’s going on. I will go to another place.

The place is excellent, lots of meats and lots of wines. Perhaps there is a lack of wine options around 3000 pesos, because there are many that are excellent at this level. Missing maybe some other options like soups and more pastas, but of what they have, they are phenomenal! The meat was wonderful and the service provided by Miguel was incredible too. The structure and decoration are also beautiful, very clean.

This is by far my favorite authentic Argentinean restaurant in Buenos Aires. I believe that they deserve better reviews. In comparison to even other well known places, this place is perfect for an authentic dinner with good meat, incredible empanadas, and the fact that they include side dishes and colorful types of salt and other fermented options that help you digest is a plus. I really enjoy Dani the staff member who not only suggested different cuts of meats but who took the time to be friendly and to speak in both languages English and Spanish to all the party members. I was looking for a place like this to bring my friends from California and I finally found it. The host was very friendly and they let me reserve a table by telling through WhatsApp to wait in line at 8:00pm. You have to understand that having dinner on a long weekend in CABA could be very difficult as people go out very late. This restaurant has incredible Tango Music and the decoration is authentic too. I also appreciate the fact that this place offer a full bar and wont charge extra for a soda like other restaurants do when you order a mixed drink. This restaurant has different locations and they are close to each other in Palermo Soho and I really enjoy each bite. Even the salads were good as it was difficult for me to find a good salad in barbecue restaurants in the city.

Very expensive and not worth it. The meat was not tender at all and the sweetbread, while premium quality, is cooked without lemon or salt (not the same adding it later). Serving sizes are medium to large.

Food was good. Came for opening/happy hour and showed up at 6 to get in right when they started at 630. Got the wagyu sirloin. The steak crust was very well done and meat in generally cooked excellently. Good price to quality and as others have mentioned, side dishes mean you don't really need to order anything besides a steak to be full. Docked one star as service was painfully slow for me and they forgot my drink order. That aside, probably overall best meal I had in BA.

The wait took forever during lunch time so we left and We came back for happy hour after 18.30 where everything was 40% off. Everything not just drinks. The prize was nice and food was great but I ordered a meat that came drenched in blue cheese and it took away from the delicious cut of meat. A better portion of cheese or perhaps to the side so the customer can decide just how much of that cheese to put on their meat. Overall well, I would come back to try other cuts of meat. Really good, very friendly, they except credit cards, and have both inside and outside seating. They speak English here, and the empanada dough they use is really, really good.

One of the best dinners we had in Buenos Aires, I would like to visit again. We recommend the Flan and Empanadas… Price was so much cheaper than most parrillas and they even give us a free bottle of Malbec. Highly recommended 👍🏼

Best Empanada in the World There's no question about it. This is it. The very best. The place is very nice, and the staff, although obviously very busy, does a nice job. The food is fantastic and prices are fair. Good ensalada as a side.

This place is amazing. The empanadas are incredible. The place is quaint and very traditional. But the service is amazing. My server teased me about having a coffee at 1pm, joked with me, told me stories, recommended food, and actually told me to order less as I ordered to much. He was very friendly and funny. He almost cried when I ordered a beer with my main. Couldn't recommend somewhere more! Do not miss!!

1 star for the service and another for the ambiance that’s it, the food is very average. The empanadas were very dried , the salad very bland but the worse was the meat they not only cooked it wrong but also had no favour, very disappointing. we commented with the manager and he made poker face.

The experience here is just so good and my waiter Mr Franco is super friendly and did his help to help me for the menu since I cannot speak Spanish at all. The steak is probably the best I had during my trip and it is well cooked just I wanted. Grilled vegetables is also better than I expected. They also have source to eat together with steak which is also great. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food took an hour to get to us and was really bad.we ordered the chicken (which was like rubber), and the salmon salad, which was horrible. The waiter decided to unilaterally cancel food that we had requested. This was the worst food of our trip so far. Go next door to el sanjuaninyo for much better food (though more casual).

Raul provided excellent customer service. The half of mixed seafood was great, enough for two people to share. Drinks are good, and prices are extremely reasonable.

Can I give this 6 stars? Everything was beyond delicious. I literally had a moment where I could not believe the flavor explosion in my mouth. Wow! We had the ribeye, assortment of organ meats, roasted veggies, aperol spritz and wine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had high hopes for this place (since we received a good recommendation for it), but the steak was just not very good and poorly made. Parts of the steak were completely raw while other parts were completely cooked on the bottom half but red on the top half, like they only cooked it on one side. I really enjoyed my steak and rustic chips. The staff are friendly and they check up on you to make sure everything is good. It is very well priced and I thought it would be more expensive for the area. I highly recommend.

Fabulous dinner experience. Healthy mix of locals and tourists. Get there early. By the time we left (before 20.00) there were seven parties patiently waiting - so worth it. My #1 dining experience in Buenos Aires. Delicious meals, fair prices, outstanding service. Tip; I first tried coming around 2pm but it was very busy so I didn’t wait. On the other days I came around midday and it was perfect. I came here twice, wish I’d come a third time.

Great little restaurant I can highly recommend in Buenos Aires in the Ricoleta area. Many tourist but also locals. Food was very good. I had the filet mignon with salad as the side. And I always ordered the Fried cheese with bacon and peppers - this was also tasty and I’ve had many times at different restaurants. The steak was flavourful and of course a bottle of Malbec.

Stopped in with my wife and two kids (11mo and 4 year old). GREAT steak. Had the ribeye and skirt steak. Fries are a great complement. The Imperial lager was perfect after a long day of walking but wine seems pretty popular here. Will have to try a Malbec next time. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a good parilla with a friendly atmosphere. Menu has English translation.

After some lovely starters (please don’t let me near deep fried cheese, it’s my new obsession!), the rib eye to share was really disappointing. Is it fair to compare its comparatively low price point to other steaks we’ve had locally? Yes. The first came well done, which had to be sent back - full marks on making this as painless as possible! The medium rare replacement was bland, serviceable, filling but not the revelation so many reviews seem to suggest. It was not good in comparison to what I thought was fine or glorious elsewhere. A popular and clearly loved restaurant but it didn’t hit the mark for me.
