Bruges

Once the richest city in northern Europe, Bruges is a beautiful Belgian city with canals and a maze of narrow streets, churches, and picturesque houses. It is very easy to get around on foot or by bike, and features many relaxing places to eat and drink. The city's most famous landmark, the Belfort, is an ornate brick tower topped with a gilded dragon, built to guard the city gates.
