It was our second time here on an excursion. Both times were different guides and it was a different experience and approach. But both times were interesting. After the tour, you could taste beer on a choice and seat in the restaurant with a nice view of the channel. Both times we hang here on the tasting for 2 hours as good.

The tour is fun and interesting. Tourguide had some witty humor and is passionate about the brewery. Tour is not welcome for dogs, but the restaurant is! We went there in the afternoon for our beer that was included with our admission for the tour and in the evening for some dinner with our dog. Food is good and the beer is great, it tastes better when you know their history and process.

Amazing brewery in the heart of Brugge! Very helpful staff and quite packed for lunch time, luckily they got us a table without reservation but had no luck with the tour of the brewery. They have a wide selection of their own Belgian style beers on tap or bottled. They have a pipeline in their brewery that goes over 3 km to their new factory. The food was really good and traditional Belgian style meals. The decorations of the establishment is quite homely with a terrace and a restaurant to chose. Very good beer, specially the blond quite more refreshing from the tap!

Huisbrouwerij De Halve Maan brewery (home of Zot) is a great place to relax and unwind. The outdoor seating is perfect for a nice day, but there's plenty of indoor seating as well. Our group of 6 was seated right away outside. Service was prompt, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Everything was nice and clean too. We just stayed for drinks, and were not disappointed - their beer is awesome. I'd definitely recommend building some time into your trip to stop by and enjoy a few pints.

A great place to drink very fresh beer just brewed in the Brewery. There is also a Museum that you visit and see how the beer is produced and have also a degustation session. I would highly recommend it.

Will start by saying just visit the place if you are beer lover. Their unfiltered version of beer is so tasty and would recommend their beer tour for everyone where we get to chose either one or three beers and their beer history is worth listening to where in at the same time we will support them to keep this place in the heart of this beautiful town.Everything about the brewery is awesome including the tour of the brewery, their history and of course their beer.Tour offers an amazing rooftop view of the city which was incredible and can buy the beers at the store as well. all in all an awesome experience to anyone whether you are a beer lover or not. Go for it.

Great place with a very unique atmosphere, really good choice of local beers which were very good. The menu looked great too however we were there too late to order anything, what a shame! Maybe next time, as well as a tour in the brewery. Very polite, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of tables to sit and enjoy a beer of your choice.

One of the best brewery tours I have been on! Having been to at least a dozen different brewery tours, this one was the most educational about beer. Most tours will try to entertain you with bells and whistles, this one will give you the ins and outs of over 175 years of brewing history. To top it off you'll have one of the best views of the city at the pinnacle of the tour. Be prepared to do many stairs and they will be steep. At the end of the tour you will have earned yourself a lovely non-pasturized beer in their welcoming tavern or terrace. The guide was excellent. Tours are available in Dutch, English, or French.

Such a serene and peaceful place of worship with rich history and basilica of the holy blood. It gives you emotional uplift to see such a precious relic on view only on Fridays. A place must to pay respect and visit while in Bruges. 🙏🏼

What it lacks in size it makes up for in awesomeness! My kids loved seeing the relic. It was an experience I think they will always remember!

Beautiful basilica situated in Bruges and which is divided in a upper one, where the Holy Blood Relic between 14.00 and 16.00hrs. is offered to visitors for veneration, and a lower basilica which is smaller. Both are beautiful but the upper basilica has still my preference 😊

This historic church is located very close to the bell tower in Bruge. There is a museum as well for which you have to pay 6 € to get in. The inside of the church on the 1st floor is beautiful. Currently half of the main prayer area is under renovation. But if you are in Bruges then you should visit this beautiful old church. Very peaceful too.

The church is located near the main church. When you see a building with a gold, it should be the church. You can enter the building for free from morning until around 17:00 You must not make any noise. You are allow to take some pictures. They have paid tour inside the church if you are interested. The decorations look beautiful and amazing. You can pray in the church.

Entry to the Basilica is free of charge and there's no waiting. Between 12 and 16, you can view the relics of the Most Holy Blood of Christ. You might need to wait in a queue (I waited 20 minutes). You can make a voluntary donation and spend a moment in prayer before the Relics.

One of the best fine arts museums in Belgium, specially if you are interested in the “Flemish Primitives”. The first three Rooms will guide you through the origins and evolution of the art of painting in Flanders during the XV century.

Lovely museum filled with works of Flemish artists, mostly paintings. Works range from as early as 1400s to present day. Very impressive to see the detail and quality that the early artists were able to accomplish.

What a gem! The museum detailed the evaluation of the artistic development solely focused on artists related to Bruges arranged in chronological order. Content is really well explained and labeled. I feel like I am taking a Flemish paining history class here. Loved it! There is of course Van Eyke, Memling, Campin, Van De Weyden… even somehow there is a Bosch and a Pieter Bruegel II. I saw some amazing landscape painting by Cooseman and Asselberg!

A nice not too big museum with Flemish primitives works from for instance Jan van Eyck. Also some Renaissance works and others.You get an audio guide that's interesting to listen to to learn more about some paintings. Worth a visit

Beautiful, not too big art gallery. Enjoyed the classic art, some pieces are truly outstanding, not big fan of contemporary pieces but that is up to everyone's taste. Interesting entry via side streets with pointers was already cool experience before even entering the building.

Amazing collection with some seriously incredible paintings. It's a shame more people weren't visiting as Bruges itself was really busy, but the gallery itself was relatively quiet. That was good for me, but more people should see the painting, especially those from the so-called Flemish Primitives.

Amazing museum with works by many of the greats. Not too big, so perfect for an hour or two. Staff was very friendly.

As you expect from a museum, it’s one of those place that require a lot of attention. If you don’t really want to read or listen, then it might not be fun for you. For me it’s rather enjoyable and informative. You’ll get to see a lot of history before the potatoes from Peru transform into the fries we know today! You’ll also get to see all the machines associated with making the fries throughout its history! It’s really interesting if you have the time.

A good story of the potato to fries, a few interactive elements which the kids will enjoy plus a cafe in the basement. Staff were very friendly, gift shop was not huge but seemed to be reasonably priced.

An off-beat museum in Brugge elevating knowledge about the humble potato and (Belgian) fries. The museum is situated close to the Market but can be easily missed with its nondescript entrance. Highly recommended for a visit to know about the origin of potatoes, varieties and some unusual facts about fries.

Unfortunately this museum is quite narrow, so when it gets crowded, it's difficult to see anything. Even with a relatively small group of people around me (one school class of uninterested teenagers and a handful of other tourists) it seemed very crammed, which at times made it difficult to reach the scanners for the audio tour. Despite this, it's a nice museum with a lot of history to discover. From the first documented usage of potatoes to modern fry production, they have everything. I do wish there was a bit more elaboration on different varieties of potatoes and what they're used for. Still, there's a lot to see, the audio tour is great, there are a lot of interactive elements, and downstairs they have a little restaurant that has really reasonable prices.

So much i didnt know! Fries and drinks are on point! Video game was HILARIOUS and fun! Recommend to everyone. Honestly cool place to go to! In a conclusion, id like to recommend this to everyone and especially getting the audio guide and food.

This frietmuseum is a delightful museum devoted to the humble potato fries. Starting off with the interesting history of how this potato was discovered and there are well over 400 varieties worldwide. As the trip progresses, the museum becomes more interactive with games and multimedia. There are antique chip pressers and frying vats to observe. You finish your visit in the crypt with a well-deserved portion of fries and mayonaise ;-) This museum is partly housed in an old church that adds character to the museum as a whole. Families are bound to enjoy a few hours in this lovely place ;-)

A lot of money for what it is! Greeted by a woman that appeared from a door in the shop, almost as if we were the only customers of the day! Polite lady but told to follow the signs “A” to “F” on our own. Can’t say we found this a “Museum” as such. More like a tour of your own. No guide. No information via earphone or video. Disappointing. Would not recommend for the money of €12 each!!

Interesting museum if you want to spend some time. They have interesting history and the special attraction is the diamond polishing show. Overall pretty good. We aren't allowed to take pictures inside the museum but allowed to take pictures during the polishing show. Toilets are available if you need them and there is a family discount on tickets.

2 stars because I learned that Antwerp supplies 50% of the world's cut diamonds today. And there is a bathroom in the museum. Otherwise one star. Expensive for 30 min. It was very dull. The interactive displays wasn't working. No one to answer questions. I thought the diamond polishing demo was included but that was only available once per day. The person there did offer to give us a return ticket for the next day so we can see it, which was nice. A must skip in Bruge.

I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't that special. The interactive parts are really cool, but most of the "modern" displays seem to be from the 2000s. It was okay, though.

Very disappointing. The demonstration was so bad. Don't waste your time or money doing this attraction.

The museum lack authenticity. Diamonds, the main subject, are too expensive so imitations are prevalent. This extends to much of the rest of the museum. One of the displays is a tunnel showing a diamond worker except the worker is about half life size. I think the intent is to show the claustrophobic working conditions but by making the worker clearly the wrong size it casts doubt on the rest of the message. 30 minutes distraction as about all this museum has to offer.

It was interesting but over priced for what we got. The diamond polishing was more of a description of how to polish a diamond. You dont get to see it from start to finish which was what i was expecting. Everything is also in english which was nice.

It’s better not to keep your expectations high. It’s more of an informative museum on history of diamond in general and in Belgium and the procedure of work .

This place has a fantastic selection of beers, including 15 local beers on tap. I ate there twice and both times the food was both excellent and creative—the lacquered pork belly was perfectly cooked with a delicate balsamic and dried fruit sauce. I washed it down with a delicate waffle in powdered sugar and a side of dark chocolate sauce that was more flavorful than sweet.

It's a delightful dining experience. It's a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's got a great beer selection. If you're looking for exceptional dining, this is a must-visit. note: The service might take a while because it is quite busy here, but it doesn't affect my experience.

Very busy and popular spot to get some food and Belgian beers. The food was good, slightly on the pricey side but expected for Bruges. The beer tasting was great, and the explanation given by the bartender was appreciated. The service was okay but we asked for bread to one of the lady serving food, she acknowledged it and then just never went to get us bread so we left without it, which was a shame cause we had garlic prawns and the oil would’ve been perfect to dip it in.

This restaurant is popular among local and tourists. So better to make reservation through call or walk in. Staffs are very polite and knowledgeable. Food 5/5 (very delicious, well seasoned and generous portion) Mussels are cooked with wine and comes with a huge bowl of fries. Flemish stew is very aromatic and the meat is very juicy and tender. Spaghetti are cooked well and instantly melt in your mouth.

Absolutely loved our visit here. Fantastic feel to the place, stylish with a beer selection that just goes on and on. The ‘brewers set menu’ was really tasty, I even managed to pair each course with the beer it was made with. Friendly, attentive staff, reasonably priced. One tip: book in advance, very few walk ins available

This is a highly recommended and very popular place for some beers and lunch or dinner. The food and beer are excellent. Definitely recommend you do not miss this place if you are in Bruges. The burger is delicious and the fries are spectacular. It is always crowded so a reservation is highly recommended.

We dined at Cambrinus while we were visiting Brugge for holiday. We had their shrimp and Trappist cheese croquettes for starter. Both were well-made, breading was thin and crisp so you could taste the shrimp inside. As the main, we ordered the Flemish carbonnades, 1/2 chicken and the rabbit stew. All the meat dishes were tasty, they were well-seasoned and prepared. My favorite was the rabbit stew, it was prepared with their house beer Gambrivinus and plums, and they served it with potato croquettes. The croquettes were fine, the meat was tender and juicy. To pair with our food, we asked for a beer tasting, which I think was a pretty good deal for 4 people especially if you're not a big fan of beer. It's a great opportunity to try out their house beer. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. Their portions are generous, so it is a pretty good value for the money. We had no issues with the service, our food arrived fast as well. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also charming, it has a long story dating back to 17th century so do read up on it on their website.

During our walk through charming Bruges we almost forgot the time. It was already past lunchtime but luckily this place still served meals. Our Bulldog was welcome to come in as well. It's a really nice, cosy place. A place you feel like keep ordering beers, sit by the window and watch the world go by. Staff was friendly, recommended some good beers. Prices are quite fair and the beer was great indeed. For a starter we had the selection of "bitterballen". Veggie, meaty, spicy, creamy. A nice selection. Very good item. For the main we had the rabbit with apple sauce and fried croquettes. And the Fish stew with salmon, sole and shrimp. Fries with that. Price-wise both just a tad over 20 Euros. An ok price for a town like this. The fish was just ok though. We just came back from the coast of France and we've been spoiled with fresh fish and seafood for the past two weeks. So this one here couldn't hold up at all. But nicely cooked and presented. The rabbit on the other hand was a winner. I like rabbit and this one here was nicely prepared and well cooked. Nice match with the apples. A good choice. All in all a nice place to grab a beer and a meal. Food not perfect, but enjoyable. And the atmosphere and the beer are both great.

The food is delicious (especially the fries and mayo sauce!!) and the waiters give great customer service. We came here before the kitchen opened (it opens at 12) and were able to secure two seats. I would recommend reserving a table, because it is popular. This restaurant is absolutely deserving of five stars.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Brugge. Staff was friendly to help, and food was tasty. Ordered the Brewers meal that came with beef stew, croquettes that were magically delicious, and a giant creme brulee.

Reserved here as our friends have visited before ribs all you can eat for €23 with slow cooked and dry rub options. Slow cooked was better and interesting flavours some very sweet! Starts with whole racks which is topped up with half's as you choose next flavours wide range of beers wines and drinks and very friendly and helpful service!

Food was nice, worth the price. The shrimp with tomato sauce was really tasty and you get ENOUGH shrimp for once (12)! The ribs are unlimited: you can order more free of charge. They have some interesting local beers (and fruit beer). Service was fast and polite.

Let's start with the food. Ribs were good, the sauce "spicy BBQ" was great. My wife had ordered the Salmon, she liked it but it would've been better if the skin side would've been crispy. My son had ordered the Kids Menu (nuggets and fries), he loved it. The fries or wedges which are included in the various menus should come with some sauce, albeit Ketchup/mayo... currently it isn't. The servers are nice enough to bring you some sauce if you ask them though. Servers are very friendly and if you are struggling with the Dutch language, they'll help you out in English. I'll definitely return when I'm in Brugge again.

Great ribs, fast service. Staff are attentive and when you're almost finished your ribs (or a drink) staff will ask you if you want anything else, additional ribs (and drinks) were served within a few minutes. I had the chocolate + beer ribs, spicy bbq and the Wasabi & apple sauce. The chocolate and beer ribs were surprisingly good! Highly recommended!

Wonderful place with very delicious menu. Food was very tasty. Beer is the second to none. Prices I don't know exactly, but for me suitable. Personal is attentive and polite. Strongly recommend. Also it was very near from my hotel, so one more selfish point from me)

Best slow cooked ribs I've ever had, the meat really falls off the bone. Could do with maybe a bit less sauce, but I've never left with hunger or felt it was missing something. Good & fast service, great ribs, and lovely beer. Great!

Brugge is beautiful and this restaurant makes the experience complete. The interior is super warm and the staff is really friendly. Especially Cheyenne: she is just amazing as she pays attention to every detail, provides the best customer service and does everything with an authentic smile. The ribs were lovely and I appreciate the have 2 kinds of ribs and different sauces to choose from. All in all super nice experience. Love to come back here!

Service was a little hit and miss, staff were pleasant and did bring the right food, they brought the wrong beers but changed them as soon as we said, forgot our water and had to be asked twice more. Ribs themselves were tasty and well cooked but far too much sauce made them very sickly. We were there on a warm Friday evening so sat outside and it was nice.

The ribs here are superb. Especially given they are all you can eat (and you can change flavours each time). It's a bit of a walk if you are staying south of Bruges but it's worth it. The extra portions of ribs come in half racks in case which is great if you only want a bit more.

The best ribs I have tried in my life after trying at different places! The ribs are so soft that you don’t need to use your knife. Too bad this restaurant is not located in Ghent! The best ones are slow cooked barbecue and you can eat as many as you want.

Great restaurant, a bit more on the expensive side but still acceptable. The food is very good ( fine dining I'd say) The waiters are very attentive and want to make you comfortable ( ex when we arrived they instantly asked if we want a bowl of water for our dog) Pet friendly place. It's also really nice inside so if you want food in Brugge, definitely a must.

Was struggling in the rain with 2 babies and they didnt even let us wait at the bar area until the bar is opened, which is only another 30 minutes. We were about to just stay there and making consumption as its pouring rain outside with nowhere close to go and they just get rid of us back to the rain with 2 babies as they saw 2 coloured mothers. Maybe he thought we are just Asian tourist who visit Brugge, know nothing and never going to come back, but I live nearby. We brought our business and personal guests a lot to Brugge as we have relatives who lives there, but I find their service and attitude disgusting and never would give them any business ever in my life. Certainly giving bad recommendations if possible. Geez

Terrible service! The girl was extremely unpleasant in communication. We wanted to relax and enjoy the holiday atmosphere on February 14, but the waiter made us order more. As a result, we had to leave this unfriendly place. Never again will I come here. I do not recommend this establishment.

I came here as a solo traveller after 2 staff members at my hotel recommended it, and really enjoyed it. You are welcomed and feel comfortable whether you are in a group, couple or alone. The waiter was super helpful with recommendations as I wanted something traditional and he was able to advise on the best options. I had the beef Stew and my goodness it was beautiful!!!! Sadly I ordered shrimp croquettes but they never turned up. That was my only criticism but I understand it may have just been a genuine error hence why they have still earnt themselves 5 star! The meal cost me €35 for a main (which came with chips and a salad and I didnt manage to eat it all as there was so much!) And a cocktail. I'd definitely recommend this as a place to eat for traditional food!

Food is really good, the place is nice, high quality. The only reason why it is ranked 3 and not 5 is the service. It is too “pushy”, the waiters are always in a rush, give you a strong feeling that they want you out as soon as possible. Needs more love & care.

Fantastic food and service in this intimate restaurant just off the busy square. Both the moussaka and king prawn dishes were delicious. As a lovely suprise we were treated to a sweet orange cake and port wine to end the meal. Highly recommend in beautiful Brugge.

Delicious lamb chops. Starters are a bit expensive for the size. The halloumi is a bit overpriced for 4 small pieces. Tasty dakos, but also not cheap. Dips were fresh and flavorsome. Complimentary piece of orange cake was a nice touch! Friendly staff!

Amazing gem found in the heart of Brugge! Cozy and very familiar Greek restaurant very nicely decorated as to make you feel at home. Very helpful staff that accommodated us without reservation, knowledgeable about Greek and Mediterranean cuisine with a wide variety of options to chose or menu option. The food was delicious, well portioned plates full of flavour, well elaborated and nicely presented.

What a lovely restaurant. We went on a Monday night and it was so busy that we had to go back in 20minutes. It was well worth the wait! Friendly staff, gorgeous food, well priced (for the area) and great service. Would definitely recommend 🤩

Excellent Greek cuisine! Everything we had was amazing from the 2 appetizers of dolmades and tzatziki to the 3 entrees of pork souvlaki, moussaka and lamb chops. The ambiance was very cool too. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Really good food, quite pricey for the portions. Nice decoration. They give a complementary cake on the house for desert. We also bought a bottle of extra virgin oil from Greece there. Would go back!

My partner and me, are in absolute love with the restaurant and food being served there. We have had a full course meal and we barely managed to finish everything. We had an elegant wine presentation, interesting and delicious starters, the chicken was roasted on a grill, and in the end we received dessert with some sweet liquor. It might be important to know, that you should make a reservation ( especially in the weekend). We managed to get two places on Wednesday at the moment the restaurant got open. Within few moments the entire place was full. Highly recommending The Olive Tree restaurant.

If this were a vegan restaurant, I'd give it 5 stars. They only have a couple of vegan dishes and several vegetarian ones. Great atmosphere, fantastic service and an absolutely lovely meal! We had the vegan souvlaki and it was delicious. It came with a garlic tzakiki sauce to die for, fabulous potatoes, rice pilaf and a salad. I highly recommend it. They also had vegan dolmades but I couldn't fit it all so we'll have to go back to try them. We were served an unexpected but wonderful dessert of marzipan in a light syrup that was so delicious I wanted to lick the plate. We also got plum wine at the end of our meal. I can't wait to return to lovely Bruges and The Olive Tree for another delicious meal.

Poules Moules is a small cozy restaurant where you can have tasty mussels and beer and excellent service. The 4 of us ate an excellent meal of mussels and fries—both a must when visiting Bruges—during a rainy day trip from Amsterdam. I can highly recommend mussels with white wine sauce. The fries were thick and crispy and salty! I even got some tasty ketchup (it wasn’t Heinz Ketchup). I had an IPA with my meal and it was a perfect combo. The restaurant is so small, they use a dumbwaiter to deliver food from the kitchen in the lower level. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant! It does close early, so be mindful of the time. We tried to get a table over lunchtime during a downpour of January cold rain and were turned away. They don’t take reservations. We were happy to get a great table a couple of hours later.

This restaurant was recommended by a local and it lived up to its reputation! Good prices and really delicious! We ordered the mussels in cilantro, chili and coconut milk, a side salad and carpaccio appetizer. Everything was fantastic! Make a trip to the bathroom when you come. It’s at the top of the building up really cute old stairs with a great view of the square.

Twice we had lunch there. The first time it took awhile to sit us (rush hour). The 2nd time we were seated immediately as we came earlier. Great beer and the food was really good. Big servings and tasty. We had caesar salad and chicken and the famous mussels with fries. Lovely food and the service was quite efficient . Would def go again.

Very nice restaurant, the staff are very friendly. The mussels are a little bit small cause it is not in the season yet but still good though. The soup that we had was also amazing ❤️

Highly recommend! We ordered the mussels with beer and Flemish beef stew. The mussels were fresh, perfectly cooked and the flavours were just right. Portion sizes were large (1.2kgs of mussels per pot) and we could barely finish everything. Flemish beef stew was delicious and came with bread and salad. Waiters were also very attentive and friendly and we had a great experience.

Great experience having mussels and fries for the first time in Belgium. Ordered the mussels with beer which was lovely, although the broth was on the bitter side (due to the beer of course). Excellent customer service and a warm atmosphere in the restaurant.

Fish Pan is a must to order. Mussels in white wine is quite average. Beef Stew was not bad. Service staff could have been more humble, was told that good food deserved to wait. Haha! Oh well, if I ever come back, it's for the Fish pan only.

Best restaurant in Brugge. Their specialty is the creamy blue mussels, which was the greatest mussels I had ever! The fish pie was exquisite, super creamy and fresh. Teh rib eye was only OK, it was undercooked. If you love seafood, this is definitely the place. They have great Belgian fries too.

Visited them on a rainy weekday in early March half an hour before their official closing time and were glad that they take us in. Had the opportunity to sample their signature dish: mussels with white wine as recommended by others on Google Review and were not disappointed in the slightest. The mussels were cooked to perfection, tender and succulent with a subtle briny taste that was nicely balanced by the white wine broth. The broth itself was fragrant and flavorful, with just the right amount of acidity to complement the mussels. The fries that accompanied the dish were crisp and golden, while the bread was soft and fresh, perfect for dipping into the broth. The waiters at the restaurant were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Bruges.
