I feel whatever neighbourhood you go in Brisbane it’s very appealing and scenic with lots to do. The closer you get to the centre the nicer it is. South Bank is so vast and scenic on its entire path. And the views of the other side are superb! Nice city! 😎👍

First time to this great place. Plenty of food/ dining options. Lovely place just to relax, walk or eat. Some fantastic places to walk through such as the jungle, community garden or just wonder through the parks or along the river. Relax on the beach or go for a swim. CH 7 Ferris wheel gives a great oversight of the area. They even have a bike repair staton!

A beautiful area next to the river with plenty of attractions including Streets Beach, shops, restaurants or even The Wheel of Brisbane which is not far. The walking routes are all well presented and generally kept quite clean. There's plenty of parking nearby too which is mostly underground in the direct vicinity. Several small parks, BBQ picnic areas, toilet facilities and river views, all nearby within walking distance. A definite place to visit when exploring Brisbane!

One of the iconic spots in south Brisbane. Actually this is my first time in Australia. I'm also pretty new to this place. I was amazed when i see this for a first time. Most probably everyone does that. Fun fact it was not planned I went here for running event conducted by Griffith University. That's how it happens. Very relaxing spot. Do visit this place in morning time that's the secret of this beautiful spot🤩🌄 You can bring your family and friends as well to have fun and enjoy your mean time. Cheers😊

Brisbane's city center has a large public space along the south bank of the Brisbane River, South Bank Parklands. There are beautiful parks, artificial seas (Street Beach), restaurants with good views. There's also a waterfront area at River Quey Green where you can go for a picnic (bring your own food or wine).

Lovely Riverside area in downtown Brisbane. Lots of cafes, restaurants, playgrounds, places to sit, and paths to walk cycle or run on. The bougainvillea walk is nice and there are toilets and water stations around too. Great for families and exercise enthusiasts too. There are great views of the river as well.

A lovely spot to go for a walk or sit and relax. There is plenty of space, the view back to the city is nice (particularly at night when everything is lit up) and it is all wheelchair accessible. There are multiple public bathrooms around the area and plenty of good cafes, bars and restaurants. A must visit spot if you are in the area.

Great place for a visit. Professional knowledgeable staff. Animals looked healthy and well looked after. 2-3 hours was sufficient for us to see the animals and 2 shows. Ice cream and coffee from the cafe were excellent. We would recommend a visit with kids. Pricing and difficulty of access to facility aren't great but acceptable.

Loved this place! Experience was amazing. For very cheap a few friends and I managed to have an amazing time and experience the beauty of Australian animals really closely. Spent around 5 and a half hours just exploring. Definitely a 10/10 day plan for families and groups of friends, I 100% recommend the animal shows and the $15 photo packs. Also, take lots of photos! Overall a fantastic place, though I do recommend packing your own lunch (food options are unsurprisingly pricey). Coffee was nice though.

Absolutely enjoyed our time here, one of the most memorable experiences. It’s definitely a koala sanctuary & one worth supporting. The lines can be quite long for photos with the animals, best to book online to avoid delays, it helps slightly & really friendly staff everywhere all around. There’s a cafe & toilets throughout the sanctuary, with birds & lizards walking around freely; so watch out where you step. We booked the Mirimar cruise to & from the sanctuary, the best way to get there in our opinion, while enjoying the narrative & some history of what we pass by along the river.

A fantastic place to visit, the boat trip there was fascinating, a history tour of the river. Lone pines was a revelation, I did not know initially if 3 hours would be too long, it was not, there was loads to see and learn. The exhibitions and shows were great, all very well done. Loved to see the animals and to feed the kangaroos was a highlight. Do it, you will not regret it.

A nice way of spending a couple of hours if you're around Brisbane. I find the tickets are a bit pricey (almost $50/adult) and there was more interaction with the animals than I was expecting. I personally don't like the "pay to hold or feed a koala" thing. But other than that it was lovely seeing the kangaroos, koalas and other animals.

I recently had the most incredible day at Lone Pine Sanctuary. The chance to get up close with Australia's wildlife, from cuddling koalas to feeding kangaroos, was a dream come true. Not to mention, meeting the adorable wombats and porcupines added an extra layer of delight. The well-maintained habitats and informative shows added to the experience. If you're planning to visit, make sure you book the cuddling koala experience online to avoid disappointment. Whether you're an animal lover or just looking for a peaceful escape, Lone Pine is a must-visit. It's a place where nature and education meet for an unforgettable adventure.

Amazing!!! We loved every minute of our time here, and will be back often! The bird show was better than expected, and the koala holding and picture was worth every penny. But my absolute favorite part was hanging out with and feeding the kangaroos!!! They are so friendly and laid back. Made my life!!! I highly recommend this place. It’s a must do if you’re here! Make sure to book your hold and touch experiences BEFORE the day you go. It fills up fast!

Fantastic experience for the whole family, we got to see and touch animals, and watch live feedings absolutely terrific! We would recommend it to everyone in the area. Lots to do and see, fantastic enclosures. And wild animal life. We will definitely be comi g back

Magnificent visit with our 7 month old. We interacted with dozens of kangaroos, just bathing in the sunshine. Definitely worth reserving the koala picture so that you can pet one! The gift shop is reasonably priced and all staff are genuinely interested in your experience. You can even watch dozens of koalas sleep while you eat!!

We loved it here, it is nice and open. It wasn't too busy when we arrived. The highlight was definitely feeding the kangaroos. The shows are short and sweet, informative and entertaining. We ended up purchasing membership and I can't wait to go back to hold a koala!

Very beautiful sanctuary but a little too far off the city. Best way to reach is to catch a bus from Brisbane central. If you love the cozy hugging koalas, this place will give you a beautiful experience.

Amazing lookout especially for magnificent and stunning sunrise and sunset with bird-eye view of Brisbane. Many free car park just in front of the lookout and surrounding areas. No problem for car parking. Having wheelchair access, benches to sit and rest, also big cafeteria if you want a coffee or breakfast with the view. You can take a bus up here, or just 15 mins drive from the city. Highly recommended, definitely a must while you are in Brisbane!

Best place to get the perfect view of the city. The premises do include some long range binoculars which operated by 2 dollar coins. However if you wanna take some nice clicks of the view, you might need a long range camera as a normal mobile cam gets obstructed by the tree range just beneath the look out. However the a sunny day and looking out is one of the great things do in Brisbane, if you are visiting. Don’t forget to try the restaurant as well, its quite good.

Best place to go for a sunrise. Bring your cameras as there are a few great vantage points for photos of the city skyline. There's a nice Cafe that's open from 6:30am. Can get very busy, especially on weekends and school holidays.

Nice spot with a great view of Brisbane city. Limited parking at the top when it's busy and not a lot of space to turn around up there. If you can find a park at the top during peak times you're very lucky. Gets busy in the evenings and weekends. There's a little gift shop up there, ice cream shop / Cafe and toilets. There's also picnic spots and bush walking tracks on the drive up. The ride up is fun on a motorbike too!

This is a great lookout with an outstanding view of the sea and city. You can park in the car park and walk or hike some of the trails on the mountain. We went down a gravel trail and back up a paved one next to a nice stream. Plenty of birds including magpies and bush turkeys, too. The loop we did was about 5 to 6 km. Other walkers and hikers are friendly, and there are plenty of water fountains for people with dog bowls, too. There is a nice cafe at the top but I did not see any public toilets. Highly recommend this area.

Great view. Ample parking space. Few trails to follow. There's a restaurant on top of Mt Coot-tha. Even the restaurant is full. Since it's a holiday on 2nd May, there's many people there but still, we have plenty of space to take beautiful photos.

Best place to see the entire Brisbane City along with the opening to the sea and other mountain ranges. Its an awesome place to come to, sit & relax, and enjoy the scenery. Sunrise is the moment, you would definitely don't want to miss. This place is very popular among photographers as u can see different shades of the city from day to night. Definitely recommend this place to visit.

Spectacular place to get a full view of Brisbane! It is large enough that on a Sunday we still had a great view without feeling crammed. Parking is a bit small but definitely worth the trip to see the city in its entirety!

This is one of the places you should go in Brisbane day or night the views from a projected height are simply amaizing , this made me love brisbane more than i thought i did , i would drive up there everyday just to be close to the heavens. Had a beautiful few hours here. Many beds are in full bloom, with others not far away. Fragrance permeates the air and whether or not you are a gardener, it's a good place to be. I use a mobility scooter and the accessibility is excellent. There are lots of places to sit and just enjoy the views. There is a playground and lots of picnic areas.

I think Roma Street Parkland is underrated! It’s so beautiful here and so much to explore. So many spots to sit and have a picnic as well. The fountain is absolutely stunning.. and there’s even penguins. Just kidding but the ducks are so cute. Not really too many places to park but to be honest this is the first time I’ve been here so didn’t look too hard. There’s even a few playgrounds for kids too.

I love this parkland. It's much bigger than it looks and there is plenty to explore, with footpaths and bridges taking you on different routes. There is also a nice flattish area of grass where you can enjoy a picnic or some sports. Overall really chilled place to spend a weekend or after work

What a beautiful parkland. Bursting with spring colours and plenty of paths to explore. We saw lots of water dragons in and around the gardens and water. Everywhere we went we could hear the sound of running water. Just beautiful. The kids enjoyed a play at the playground and loved all the creative seats and vegetable gardens as well. Well worth a visit.

Amazing public gardens. Many beautiful lush zones to explore, it rivals most botanic gardens we've visited. Two small, but very cleverly designed and lovely play equipment spaces. Again, clean and well maintained. The larger of the two is aimed at younger children and my toddler and baby had a wonderful time exploring the space. The pathways are clean and clear, the whole park was immaculately maintained and tended too. We saw lots of cheerful workers who were all happy to stop and wave and chat to my 2 year old who was fascinated with their ATVS and bright uniforms. There was a more than ample amount of BBQs and covered picnic tables. Parking was easy to find on street within the park and we paid a very reasonable $5 an hour and were a three metre walk from the bridge entrance. Our only complaint was that the Parkland Explorer train is no longer running, it's been moved out to the Ipswich Rail Museum. It would have been absolutely magical to ride the train through the park and we very much hope it is reinstated soon!

Amazing with so many beautiful flowers. Easily accessible by public transport and a great place for slightly older people because the walking path will suit their needs. I had an amazing volunteer who explained to me a little bit about history and different flowers there. There's even a children's playground and plenty of quiet spaces to catch up on your reading.

What a magical place. Enjoy miles of walking/biking trails amongst the largest sub tropical garden in the world. The grounds are beautifully maintained, very clean, and peaceful. There are numerous large lawn areas for picnics and tables set throughout the park. The children's garden is nestled under the trees with plenty of playground equipment. Kudos to the creators and those who care for it.

Exceptional gardens, ingeniously designed planting and layout packs a huge variety of experiences from walking through tree canopies to exploring cool shaded fern gullies with garden rooms of bright flowers and interesting water features. If you love nature and only have time to explore one place in Brisbane this would be my top recommendation. Bring a sun hat and camera! Congratulations to the talented gardens team for their work and to Council for having the vision to keep these gardens so well maintained as the gardens have grown into a superb experience for tourists and residents alike!

Great place to take the family for a picnic. Usually has a lot of free events on throughout the year. The gardens are always so vibrant & very well maintained, with cool garden designs to keep you intrigued. Great place for photographers to come take photos of nature. Does have public toilets, a park for the little ones, bubblers & a lovely Cafe.

Fantastic. A great place for full day out. There is plenty to see and do. The parks are family friendly and there was plenty of seating available at the time of visit. The amenities were clean and functional. They also had disability support available and mothers change rooms as well. I have been told that there is an excellent guided tour available which makes the Parkland even more interesting. I have not had that experience as at time of this review.

Awesome parkland, lots to explore. The children's play area is good, the water fall was picturesque and the toy train journey was really good for the kids. It had a bit wait time, though, but worth it. The gardens are beautiful. A good place to spend a day.

Absolutely beautiful gardens fitting for a clean city like Brisbane! Lots to do here and easy to get lost in adventure while going for a casual walk. The gardens are well maintained with waterfalls and water park features to provide lush ambient sounds drowning out the city noise. Very relaxing place!

A very relaxing place to visit in contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city. There are multiple zones through the parkland dedicated to different types of garden and flora. Many flower beds are in full bloom, with others not far away. Fragrance permeates the air combined with vivid colours, which can be appreciated by all. The park has multiple seating and viewing areas where people can stop and enjoy their surroundings. The one detraction from this is the multiple signs everywhere telling you what you can't do. Accessibility is good for all throughout the park via wide pathways, which is great for those who are mobility restricted. There are picnic and fantastic playground areas catering to families. There are multiple picnic sites with BBQs. The playgrounds are integrated with the gardens and the terrain, allowing for a great experience for the younger ones. There are ample public facilities (toilets, baby change, etc) which are well maintained and clean. There are also cafe/shop options. However, the ones internal to the parkland are only open on weekends. I appreciated the ANZAC corner, which had a very well maintained area for quite remembrance. It is a small annoyance, but it is a pity that the external entrances are so far apart. It is a great place to visit with something new to see/discover every time you wander in.

Food and Service was amazing, the oysters were a bit pricey and they were very small. The food was great but it could be cheaper for what we got. The staff were always there to assist us. Might go back, and order something different, everything was great but the price was a bit too high

Food was really well presented 🎁 on the plate (check out pics) and served to the right temperature of each food type. Price is debatable, it wasn't cheap nor expensive. Even though we went at the "lunch half price special" we ended up getting a full priced meal each. For our 2 meals and handful of drinks it was roughly $175. Service was very friendly and the restaurant was clean, definitely needs a renovation as you can see the age of place just about every where you looked.

3.75 ⭐️Lovely service with nice views of the river. The interior is a bit outdated and the cutlery we got had to be swapped because it was unclean. Lunch special is reasonably priced. Tried the: 🐟 Garlic bread - standard, pretty expensive for what you get 🐟 Seafood crepe - very flavourful and full of different seafood. Does get quite heavy tho and pancake gets soggy

Superb experience. We went here on short notice to celebrate a special occasion and was delighted by how professional and experienced the staff were. Food arrives fairly quick, flavours, presentation and portion sizes were great. The cocktail list is superb also, offering some of the most delicious drinks I think I have ever had in my life. Toilets were spotless and the entire dining experience was above and beyond 10/10!

Absolutely amazing place to spend time. The atmosphere is slightly dark but warm in a way. The sunken tables into the floor are a great compromise for those not used to traditional Japanese seating. The food itself is second to none! Every single thing we had was made with so much love and care and whilst some may say that the presentation is over the top it really makes every dish special. We especially enjoyed the grilled eel and oysters with the raspberry sauce. We ordered desert and the staff placed chocolate “happy anniversary” signs on the food it was such a lovely touch. All the staff were so attentive to our food allergies too with nothing being too much trouble. Anything negative to say? Perhaps only one toilet stall in the male bathroom isn’t enough to accomodate all the potential male patrons. We will be going back at least once a year as it really is special.

Some say Sono is the best Japanese fine dine in Queensland. We booked a table 2 months in advance of our trip to Queensland (booking essential). Coming from Sydney, our expectations were high and they were met and exceeded by much more. One of the best Japanese fine dines in the country hands down. The Zen course is fantastic. Great services and ambience, a very memorable night at Sono. Highly highly recommended!

My husband and I ordered 10 courses of their tasting menu which is the Zen course and we were amazed of how the courses were served. Such an amazing experience of a Japanese fine dining. We will definitely come back and try other courses in the menu. Excellent food and great service.

We came here for our wedding anniversary. My husband is not much of a seafood lover but Sono converted him through quality produce. We had a beautiful high quality dinner and will be back.

The service was amazing! Attentive and friendly. Needless to say, food was fantastic, impressive Japanese sake lineup…we spent over $400 for two, but worth going there. We don’t mind spending money for something great. We used to live in Sydney and love fine dining. We don’t need to miss Sydney anymore because there’s Sono in Brisbane. This place is an authentic Japanese restaurant. The best Japanese restaurant in Brisbane. We will definitely come back for our special occasions. 20 out of 10. 👏🏻

Had the Zen tasting course, $135/pp featuring 10 courses. The dining experience was very enjoyable. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful, it featured many traditional Japanese styled designs. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The food presentation and plating were beautifully served and they tasted just as amazing as they look and all the ingredients were very fresh. One small downside was that the Donbinmushi was a little too salty.

By far one of the best Japanese restaurants I've had the pleasure of eating at. All the food was delicious (chose the Sono tasting course) , the service was excellent and the view of the Brisbane River added the cherry on top. The only thing underwhelming was the dessert. Overall, a great place to dine and the price is very fair

My wife and I visited today for a 51st anniversary lunch. We lived in Japan in the 1970s and this was a first rate experience. The service was impeccable and each aspect of the food - presentation, quality and taste - was excellent. This restaurant definitely deserved an A+ rating.

We had the teppanyaki Sakura set for lunch. Great service and food was good, but felt a few dishes were a little lacking in overall dimension of flavour. The lady next to us got very drunk on two bottles of wine and was being very rowdy/annoying which ruined the dining experience for us a bit.

That was amazing! The food was just outstanding, we ordered over $400+ of dishes and it was just absolutely amazing. I'm speechless. The staff were very polite and their service was excellent. I'll definitely be back for more.

If you’ve not had the pleasure of eating here, then you have seriously been missing out. We were in for a few small bites before heading out and the team were nothing short of exceptional. From the minute we were greeted the team of service professionals were buzzing around with big smiles and knowledge that made the experience enjoyable. Then the food came. It was incredible. The service was exceptional but nothing compared to the food. To die for! See you soon for another great meal.

Beautiful food, we ordered three dishes, an entree, main and side salad, perfect share sizes for two, the atmosphere was colourful and full of joy, online menu and table service.

I went to Ahmet’s for the first time and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The pricing was reasonable and the service was great. I liked the variety in the menu as well. I went with a group of 4 so I loved that they had ‘share dishes’ so we could try everything.

Overall a solid restaurant. The lamb steak pide is the stand out which you must get and the desserts are pretty good (I wish they didn’t take the revani off the menu though). Dissapointing: The borek is a bit like a cheesy spring roll, a little too salty as well. Annoying: The menu is not printed (you’re forced to scan a QR code) but you have to order with a waiter… they really should just print menus.

Simply excellent. Great atmosphere and decor 👌. Really relaxing and engaging that made the evening A wide-ranging menu and great choice, including DF and GF options. And it all tasted amazing and very reasonably priced. The restaurant was recommended and didn't disappoint. Would highly suggest making a reservation in advance due to the popularity.

The ambiance inside is amazing, feels like you are in Turkey. The food was so delicious and flavourfull. We had the Turkish bread and the mix skewers, the lamb was my favourite. Kunefe with ice cream and Turkish coffee was a nice way to end the meal. Service was great too.

It was an amazing night the food was on point it brings me back to one of my favourite Turkish restaurants in Dubai. The atmosphere of the place was really nice also. It was good value also highly recommend. Do your self a favour and treat your self to a nice night out !

This place is not even close to a Bavarian restaurant, nice try though ;) The schnitzel was pretty dry and slatless. Basically there was no salt in anything. Beer was not cold enough and didn't taste good. I tried lager. Staff were nice and friendly though and the view was good. But for the price I do not recommend this.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff who helped accommodate us to a seating of our preference. There is an outdoor and indoor seating option, with stunning views of Brisbane river and Story Bridge. Food came out super fast, fresh, delicious and plentiful. We ordered pretzels, potato gems, pork knuckle, mashed potatoes and red sauerkraut --- all of which were delicious and hot. The bar was somewhat slower than the kitchen, and we received the wrong drinks a couple of times, but the staff were super friendly about correcting this. These issues may have been from how busy it was when we were there.

An awesome way to end the week and celebrate the year we’ve had with work friends and colleagues at @the.bavarian 🤩 . The start was a little rocky cos someone ordered 3 plates of kiddies meals for a table of hungry adults 😂🥴 . But soon after that, the arvo was back on track with beers flowing and the food platters eventually making their way to our tables. The pork belly dishes were pretty good, the bao with the perk belly in it was good too 👌🏻 . Super packed and buzzing atmosphere - thanks to everyone having end of year celebrations but all in all a great time with great people, a great view and good food 👌🏻🤤

Brilliant service with attention to detail. Very helpful especially if you are pressed for time and need to get to the theatre or an event. Love the small touches and whimsy in the presentation. Would highly recommend for a celebration or when you're seeking a delicious meal. We had some keto dietary restrictions and they were 100% accommodated, and even our take away box was presented with care.

My husband and I just went back for the second time for our wedding anniversary, and it did not disappoint again! The 2 experiences we had at Bacchus were absolutely outstanding. We had the wine pairing and once again got to discover multiple different wines and drinks we did not know and now we will buy! We received a glass of champagne each on the house for coming back and remembering the elegant lady (who is now the Sommelier) who served us before Covid. My apologies, I do not recall her name... The meal was absolutely delightful, tasty, beautifully presented. The apple dessert was a gem with a little attentive touch with a "happy anniversary" plaque and a wonderful Hungarian dessert wine. All staff members were extremely attentive, smiley, happy to share their knowledge and have a little chat. We felt bad ordering one more drink after 10pm but they were happy to provide it and we did not feel rushed at all. It is a budget but oh so worth it. We will come back for sure and will bring friends too! Thank you!

I enjoyed a high tea here, which included bottomless tea. The venue is nicely furnished and the food was mostly nice and tasty, in particular the desserts, which were delicately prepared. I found it a pretty well-priced high tea. I thought the venue itself was a tad dark inside. The savoury items were only ok - particularly the cucumber sandwich in which the cucumber was so finitely cut, you could barely see it, let alone taste it. Good variety of tea served.

It was great to visit Bacchus after reopening. The service is exceptional and certainly deserves a five star. The high tea overall was good but not out of this world. We had a type of shortbread with cream and jam, not scones. That was interesting. The sweets were a great size but was reasonable with the exception of the macaroons which were outstanding. The savoury layer was delicious. The teas and selection thereof were a treat with a special mention to Hot Cinnamon Tea.

Went here for a wine tasting and had such a great time. The venue is really smart! The staff are welcoming and friendly. The wine tasting was excellent. Educational and interesting. The wine quality was fantastic. We got to try aged wines, such a treat and opportunity! Christie and Kevin did an excellent job of hosting the tasting. They made it enjoyable for all levels of wine knowledge. The canapes They served with the food were amazing. Each dish was delicious and well balanced. Now that I know about this place, I'll definitely be returning for dinner. I also look forward to trying more wines off their amazing wine list. They truly have a fantastic wine selection! I was really impressed by the amount of aged wines they have and that their prices were so reasonable! We stayed after the tasting and bought more wine. We tried a 2010 Albarino. The bottle was only $50! It was delicious. We ordered some cheese also and they were amazing. Had a lovely catch up here for high tea. Service was great, the quality of the food presented was just average- really nothing special at all. Teas were very tasty. I have been to other places for high tea for a similar price and the quality of the food was much better. Fair enough, its a lovely place and the girls working there were professional and super friendly. In terms of whats offered i was rather disappointed and in conclusion its not worth the money.

I have visited here on several occasions, having sampled their high tea, pizzas & cocktails. The high tea was of an impeccable quality. Service was 10/10. The food in the high tea was so delicious I've enjoyed several of their cocktails with pizzas & have not been disappointed by any of it.

We hosted a birthday party high tea here and everything was very well done. Staff were very accommodating and atmosphere is very nice and it’s good value

We had an absolutely out of this world experience!!! The new winter degustation menu was just magnificent. Chef Manuele’s creations were truly works of art with immaculate presentation and the flavours that keep you wanting for more!! And the wine pairing was flawless!! Impeccable service from Christie and her team as well. Thank you for such a unique and stunning culinary experience!!
