Such an amazing site! You just have to wait for the perfect timing where there is no wind and the water reflection is still to capture the mirror effect. We had to visit several times just to get the perfect shot. Too bad there is some construction covering on the left side of the building but it is still okay. Amazing architecture, amazing plaza!

Lovely installation! The moment when the water reflects the surroundings is the most beautiful one. If you visit this place, you'll find kids running through the waters, people dancing around the area and even singing. It's just a lovely place to spend your afternoon or evening. There's tons of places to sit and enjoy a glass of wine if you wish to~

A big free attraction in Bordeaux! A place very interesting in front the elegant place (Place de la Bourse). Childs and adult walk on and play on the water. Beautiful place for shooting photo, in the morning and at the sunset..

This place is great. It is both a tourist attraction and a local attraction. While we were here it was super hot in July so many families were visiting the Mirrior. If you want good pictures go in the morning at 10 to avoid the crowds.

Unusual and clever shallow pool area in front of stunning architecture. Shallow pool for 25 minutes, then drains and a mist fog appear. Lovely place to cool down, take photos, and watch the world go by. Very clever and worth a visit

It's really cool. Fills with water maybe every twenty mins, then ripples for a while before reducing to become a mirror. Really good photos, free to enter, not too crowded. Ruined slightly by the number of trams in between the mirror and buildings

Great experience! It’s expansive and takes a little getting used to the way the interactive experiences work and navigating the crowds. Going there when it’s less busy would have been better. We tasted a wine upstairs and maybe would have chosen differently if we were informed ahead that there’s only one taste per person. We wrongfully assumed we might be able to taste a few with our ticket. Overall a fun and educational time!

It really is a masterpiece of a museum. When I was told the majority of stuff was on the second floor, I didn't think it could be that great. I was wrong. They pack so much into their space, but with enough room where you aren't crowded with the other people. I went midday on a Sunday and was able to get through in a little over three hours before I enjoyed my glass of wine on the eighth floor. The coolest part was the sensory exhibit where you can smell all the different aromas that might come up in your wine tastings. It was really nice. The bottle shop is also mesmerizing with all the selections. They really did this right. I used the city ticket and was able to get free access and a glass of wine, so if you're visiting the city, I highly recommend that!

Unique, unusual, very interesting. Buy tickets for sensory experience ahead of time as they sell out quickly! Regular entrance can be bought on a walk in basis during non peak tourist season, it also includes complimentary glass of wine and entrance to the viewing platform. If you love wine and want to know more about it, this museum is for you. The gift shop is interesting too

Super modern, futuristic museum - but may not be for everyone. This museum is state of the art when it comes to technology, interaction and stimulating your various senses. If you are into wine, this is a great place to learn and improve on your wine knowledge. But the entry price is steep, especially when there is no temporary exhibition. The museum’s permanent exhibition is rather compact being distributed on a single floor, but the depth of audio / visual content can keep you engaged for an entire day if you so wish. An added bonus is the included wine tasting (1 glass) on the highest floor with a nice panoramic view, lots of wines to choose from and good sommelier assistance.

This impressive encyclopedic museum dedicated to viticulture, wine making and the associated culinary traditions is a must see for any oenophile who finds her/himself in the city of Bordeaux. Nearly 20 impressive multimedia powered exhibits are featured in the museum's permanent exhibit. All major languages are supported. While this museum proudly showcases France's accomplishments, visitors from other wine making powerhouses will not feel under represented. This is a "go at your own pace" experience. We spent three hours including the complimentary tasting on the highest floor followed by a visit to the wine store and gift shop. There are multiple dining options available on site from a simple cafe to a full service restaurant. If those don't appeal there is an impressive food hall across the street. Very ample parking is found in the structure adjacent to the food hall. Those staying in downtown Bordeaux might consider a walk to this museum or taking one of the many trams running along the river front. A visit to this museum might be recommended for those spending more than three days who seek information complimentary to their winery tours.

A must do if you love wine or wish to understand more about wine! Amazing experience with audio and visual engagements for wines across the globe! Arriving in the afternoon about 2pm it’s the best as there were no lines. Pro tip across the road is the fancy food vendors, pop in there for a afternoon tea with some drinks!

A good place to start learning about wine and its general history. However, I found that the information provided was too superficial and simplistic, perhaps made for all publics. The audio guide takes you through every display and is easy and intuitive to use. The wine tasting at the top was a nice complement to the visit. From the eighth floor of the museum you can enjoy a beautiful view of Bordeaux.

Very informative and the exhibits are also highly interactive. You can play and “sense” the exhibits through many ways. However, since you need to wait for others to finish their turns, it’s better to avoid weekends. Otherwise, you need to wait or give up on some parts. For wine tasting, there is a wide selection of wines. They also provide non-alcoholic grape juice. Those drinking options are all premium products. But they didn’t sell wine in the souvenir shops.

Pros: kid friendly, very educational, interactive, small enough to do in 1.5 hours (if rushing a bit), but still enough to keep you entertained. Cons: it’s a bit of sensory overload, a LOT to take in within a little space, you pick and choose so more than likely you will not get to it all, the flow of it is a little disjointed with the open footprint of wander where you’d like. The tasting at the top is really quite enjoyable with the views. Wish we had more time, but this definitely feels like a museum one can return to more than once.

What an amazing place for wine lovers, such an amazing designed building stands out across Bordeaux and is a real must on your visit. The museum is so modern and interactive with 3D images and sounds in each section, telling the story of wine from start to finish, you can even answer some interactive questions to find your wine, that suits you. The rooftop is totally stunning with amazing views.

Great interactive experience with visual and audio guide for different languages. The interactive iPhone experience is friendly and easy to use.

Amazing museum, learned a lot of bordeaux region ands its wines. But also about other countries and more. The exhibition is very intriguing and interactive. All your senses will be tested. Finally, with the standard ticket you get a wine tasting at the top of the building. This reminds me, the design is incredible and well thought.

Lovely and spacious square. The cathedral is currently being restored and the large gilded statue has recently been placed on the spire. A lot of activity going around the plaza. Perfect spot for sunbathing and cultural attraction.

Beautiful Cathedral, old and historical. It's one of the important landmarks in Bordeaux. It's located in the center and everything is close to it. The tram station A B C D, is beside it. so, you can easily go there by tram from airport or anywhere you come.

Amazing architecture. Although it would have been better if they provide like an audio guide or a brochure about the history of the place. Alot of infrastructure as still being restored/fixed but it looks great.

Very remarkable late gothic Cathedral. Impressive light from the interior. The organ is a masterpiece. It is very curious than the bell tower is apart from the rest of the Cathedral, and that is because the muddy nature of the ground in Bordeaux, that does not allow to overcharge too much an area. Beautiful space but their large posters only cover their fundraising for their organ. Nothing about their history. For example, interesting change in column structure! But no info on it at all. I’d donate more if they were interested in educating me about this space. No public restrooms although nearby public one is closed. Seems a church should really be a bit more helpful to the general public. Ask for the pass sanitaire as do restaurants, if you wish- but serve the people.

Toured central area of Bordeux, France. We found cool flea markets, the entire central area is largely built in gothic stone architecture, and a great beltway around the Garonne River full of people, food, and sites. Visited one of the most impressive cathedrals we've come across so far in the EU (Cathédrale Saint-André). Mind blowing site! This area is large, but for 5€ mass transport available by tram, bus, and boat. Too much to see in one day! 🤙

Stunning especially the design of the vaulted ceiling. How did they actually do that way back in the 1400s without MEWPS or cranes.!!

SUPER CATHEDRAL There's lots of churches here in Bordeaux, but if you only have time for one, visit this one! Saint Andre Cathedral is really nice to visit, there are some amazing pictures you can take from the outside and the interior (whilst dark) looks very pretty. If you want some super cool pictures, come back at night and they light it up!

It's a bridge. If you want to get to the other side of the river, this will be important to you. Do note though that a considerable section of this bridge raises by a significant amount (to enable river traffic to also pass to the other side of this bridge), and when raised, your progress to that other side of the river will be hampered. So if the bridge is closed, prepare yourself for either a long wait or a slight detour.

Technological masterpiece of engeneering! what a bridge. Worth seeing from the water taxis or from the shore.

This bridge is HUGE! I was wondering what those four pillars are while I was still far away but then realized that its a bridge. I've yet to see this one in action like when theres a boat crossing and the bridge will lift 'the road. There is also a possibility to go up. However, I think you need special permit for that. There were a few people- I think its their field trip, that went to the top. I tried to go with them but was not allowed to.

All the charm of the tourist traps that surround. A true pearl! The staff are exceptional! The waiter we had was amazing. So accommodating to our needs. Their recommendations on food and wine were on point. I watch them work tirelessly for their customers, then also assist passing tourists with their unrelated queries. It is so good to see young workers be so passionate about their profession and be so humble about their performance. Thank you for a lunch we will never forget. Much love, the Australians.

Excellent food, service, wine and overall experience for a good price. The place is tiny and you must reserve to get in. Also, menu is limited to 3-4 options of starter, entree and dessert. But it was delicious. The little alley where it is at, with other small restaurants / taverns, gives it a Medieval setting feel to it all. Very worth it!

Cozy restaurant tucked down a picturesque side street with outdoor seating in nice weather. Well done simple menu at a great price in Bordeaux. Thoughtfully chosen short wine menu. Friendly service. The butcher’s cut wasn’t the greatest faux fillet steak, a bit tough to cut through, but cooked to our liking. We visited Bordeaux in April before peak tour season but reservations are recommended as people were turned away at the door.

Went back here again the second time we went to Bordeaux. Top notch meal and every dish was amazing. Make sure you make reservations the day before!

Fantastic experience! Food was absolutely delicious, and 20€ for three courses is an incredible value. Staff were extremely attentive and super friendly, had a great conversation with the man in charge! Finished the meal with a digestif of delicious Limoncello that came with an espresso! Highly recommended, just be sure to book ahead as it was busy all evening!

Don’t expect a good “melt in your mouth” steak for the price. Unfortunately mine was tough, chewy and gristly… everything you don’t want in a steak. I got a good workout trying to cut it though. The potatoes and the sauce that came with the steak were pretty good though. Everything else was just ok but I suppose it’s what should be expected for the price (23€ for appetizer, main and dessert)

Delicious traditional Bordelaise food at a very good price! At 23 euros we got a 3 course menu! The Saint Nectaire roti was just delicious! My poisson du jour with Beurre Blanc sauce was excellent! The beurre blanc was delicious, the fried fish was perfectly cooked without being very oily! The piece du bucher was properly cooked and their Bordelaise sauce was great! Also their desserts were very nice, especially the salted caramel creme brullé! Very good service, very nice place and very good wine by the glass selection!

Absolutely amazing. The service was very efficient and friendly and the food was excellent. They have a 3 course meal for only €20 which is amazing value, especially since the food was definitely worth double. The location is also very nice. I 100% recommend visiting.

We visited on our way back to our hotel from visiting some wineries and it was a splendid finish to the day. KK, I believe he is the owner, warmly welcomed us and continued checking in with us for our whole stay. He provided fantastic recommendations so we could experience French cuisine and these did not disappoint. Speaking no French, we relied heavily on KK’s recommendations and we were welcomed very warmly into the Brasserie by all the staff. The servings were very generous ( and delicious), the beers were cold and the price was very reasonable. If I am ever in Bordeaux again, I will definitely be coming back.

We visited restaurant by accident because our hotel was located very close. There were all places booked but we could had lunch in the bar. We had squids, calamares, duck with patatas and hot camembert. All were delicious and for sure we will visit again. The staff is amazing and very kind:)

Nestled curiously in the pocket of a busy road whose backdrop is a towering array of outdated business towers from the 70's (I think...I'm really just spitballing here though), sits perhaps one of the finest establishments in France. This is coming from someone who has been to all of 3 French cities, mind you. But still, eating here was a revelation. I believe Aron Ralston said, before cutting off his trapped arm in a Utah canyon, that his whole life had been leading up to that moment. Similarly, my decision to start Duolingo French (not a paid advertisement) 3 months ago had auspiciously been leading up to this culinary moment. A new timeline has been born: pre magret de canard, and post. I literally told the waitress in my désolé cu| francais to tell the chef it was the best meal of my life. I will be back someday, perhaps tomorrow.

We had the immense pleasure of dining here two evenings ago. Having dined all over, my first impression was that the concept is very original. You get a little card explaining the “game” of guessing the three ingredients that compose each of the 9 courses you will enjoy for the evening. This was supremely enjoyable fun but also made us a bit awe struck that each course was prepared with only those three ingredients. At the end of each course, Isabelle came and checked to see how we did. She was so warm and kind and interactive, cheering us on when we were right and educating us about those spots we had missed. We did the full universe with drink pairing and it was a lot of food! I wish I had brought a second stomach to be able to eat more!!! Julian was the star of the night. He is filling in for his dad, but no one could feel they got less than the best. Julian is an excellent and accomplished Chef by his own rights and I cannot wait to follow his career to see what heights he will achieve. I have only two sad parts to relay, first is that we do not have such an exquisite restaurant in New York City and second that I cannot have some more of that amazing veal!!! Bravo to you Julian! If you are thinking of eating here, I encourage you to do so. We Uber'd in from Bordeaux proper in about 20 minutes. Do not let the setting fool you, this place deserves 500 stars.

BLISSS had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant tested our senses with their interactive menu and their tasting menu did not disappoint. We were thoroughly looked after by the owners who run a family kitchen. It was not too far by Uber or bus. I’d highly recommend this restaurant!

It was a very unique dining experience. The chef is creative and the service excellent. You must be willing to try new things and guess at the ingredients. There is no menu for the food. You get what they are serving that day and I was told the plan changes every three weeks. If we lived here we would try to come several times a year.

Very nice small restaurant, with fix menu, good quality of food. We expected that breast duck to be much tasty, but the rest of the meals was ok. Very good price for menu, that's a big plus. The white wine was really very good and services as well.

Daily menu is recommended for the first timer. From the starter till the deserts are perfectly served. Not to mention the excellent wine by the recommendation of the waitress for the dish. Reservation recommended even a table for solo traveler ( make two persons on the reservation !)

Made reservation for lunch today because I couldn't get in yesterday for dinner. The staff were friendly and food is good. I had the pork mignon and my friend has the duck breast. Very good value meal of entree, main plate and dessert. Cute little place. Note that kitchen closes at 230 so if you have the last appointment for the morning service, make sure everyone gets there on time.

Excellent food in the centre of Bordeaux. We chose the salmon tartar which came with a crumbled goats cheese (so delicious!) and the cheese for starters. For mains we ordered the duck and beef, both were fantastic! The creme caramel dessert was a great way to finish the meal. Would definitely recommend, especially for the value!

Great food, nice location (low floor is an old cellar with arches). Just a bit too hot during summer. Food is really good, great flavors and really well made. Even if I showed up at the very last minute, the owner managed to find me a spot in the bottom floor that has a nice arch ceiling like the ones in old wine cellars. Except for the heat that was a bit too high (some or more AC would have been appreciated) the place is great for tasting some local food at a very reasonable price. It’s also located in the center of the city near the stock exchange square. Great combination is to go for an aperitivo nearby with some wine and cheese tasting and then go to this restaurant. I’ll recommend trying it and I would be happy to come back again.

My partner and I visited Bordeaux for 5 days and can honestly say this was the best restaurant we visited and the burger was the best burger I have EVER had. And when I say “ever” I mean literally the best burger in the entire world and I’ve had a lot of burgers in my lifetime! The manager and waiters/waitress here were so friendly and we couldn’t have thanked them more for their service. I have a gluten allergy and they made sure they catered to my needs by going above and beyond and getting gluten free buns for me! It was such a kind thing to do and I was so grateful for it as I could tell they really care about giving their customers the best experience. The mocktail my partner and I had was also one of the best we’ve ever had! Overall, we both had such a great experience and are so thankful for the amazing customer service. I will 100% be visiting Bordeaux again just for another one of these burgers! Thank you to the manager and waiters and waitress that served us both!

Probably the best steak tartare that I have ever eaten. The food was absolutely amazing. The servers were kind and friendly. The stairs to the bathrooms look and feel very dirty which takes a lot from the great evening we had there.

This place is just awesome! I think this was the best salad (salmon tartare) I had in my life and I’ve been around the world a bit already. Absolutely incredible! The cheddar burger was also super delicious and on top of that their service and vine was really really great too. You have to try this place!

Amazing food. Went there a couple of times during our stay in Bordeaux. We really enjoyed it. Had the beef tartar and the duck breast and they were excellent. Also, they have some options for children. Would recommend to book in advance. It's usually full, especially during opening hours.

My husband and I ate here last week based on all the high ratings and this place stood up to each and every one. A++ We are from Texas and it is hard to get a good burger when traveling, but the burgers here were on point and cooked to perfection with very unique sauces. It is a small place so be sure to make a reservation. Fred and his team will make you feel at home and happy you chose this restaurant. We had high hopes after the amazing reviews and a recommendation from a friend, however we were disappointed. The food wasn’t very flavorful. The beef tartar was bland and missing salt. The burger we asked for medium rare and it was more than well done and very dry. The fries were also just ok. The only great thing was the sauce.
