It is very beautiful even when we visited in the winter time which we experienced all types of weather, we had rain, shower, snow, hail, high winds and a very brief of sunshine within 48 hours while we were here! Many bars, restaurants, coffee shops to enjoy! Those wooden houses show their charms no matter in the day time or night!

If there is no bunch of tourist, it's nice place to visit and to imagine what it was like to live in this area hunderets years ago. The place was destroyed by major fires few times , but fortunately it is fully restored and it still has the original design.

Amazing place to go for a stroll. Nice and cozy shops, also interesting for buying souvenirs. I suggest to walk in the small streets between the wooden houses, they open into more houses, shops, gardens and wonderful settings. I suggest to visit the place in the morning and in the evening too. It’s very stunning. A great idea is to take a cruise on one of the fjords easily reached from Bergen and watch Bryggen while going away. A visit here is a must do when in Bergen!

Very cute and historical part of the city with (some) very well-restored wooden houses, museums, forts, and pretty views over the water - definitely worth a visit when you visit Bergen to just stroll around and enjoy the houses and area

The most visited place in Bergen, the beautiful colourful houses surely look gorgeous on a rare sunny day. The narrow alleys and the vintage stores tell lot of stories! Dates back to 10th century, history of this old Viking market area is pretty amazing!

A nice place to visit. You can reach here by walk from the city center and also enjoy a city view by walking around before you go to hang around by boat from nearby pier. There are a lot of nearby seafood market that you should not miss

This beautiful medieval wharf brings you back in time. Walking between the wooden building is a very nice experience. If you are visiting Bergen you will definitely need to visit it and I believe you won't regret it.

The area of Bryggen in Bergen is a must see and very close to the city center. The old, historical wharf has lots to offer and is great to visit in the early morning or late evening. It’s usually very busy during the day. Little shops and restaurants are located here with tons of local goods to try out or buy. Most of the shops are also tax free (you can claim your tax back at the airport).

I went to the place and it was a great experience if you are a tourist. You can get any information regarding your travel dates and time accordingly. To me they really explained well and got to know if you're with a kid what you can do and which place can be really nice to visit according to your plan... So to me nice experience overall.

So helpful! The woman who served us was really great at helping us make sense of all the actives that were available and which ones matched our wants and budget. She organised and sold us a four day fjord-kayak-hiking tour and we left quite satisfied. Warning: the wait for serve was long! And in the end we felt the 'Norway in a Nutshell' tour was over priced (but, to be fair, we didn't have ideal weather). However, the kayaking and hiking made our trip.

Pleasant staff but trainee gave us completely wrong recommendations about visiting the Hanseatic museum (opposite the office but closed until 2026), distance to a destination (half the time he told us) and telling us to download an app to buy local transport tickets but neglected to mention that if you buy tickets you have to use them immediately (absolutely not necessary as there are handy machines at the stops).

We came here to exchange the local currency on a rainy morning! The exchange rate is 1 euro to 9.38 Kn, not the most favorite exchange rate. The staffs are friendly, the location are nice and clean!

Very smart and well done out office, enough staff to see to all enquiries and mostly helpful. Good array of gifts, especially fridge magnets and little models of Bryggen, which were of a high quality. You can also buy tickets for various attractions also.

Excellent. The team is very helpful, provides detailed information and advices the most suitable activities depending on stay and preferences. Mrs. Ploy assisted and provided the best recommendations and tours and she booked them; also she explained about the bergen card and all the visits to do within and outside Bergen reachable by bus.

Helpful place for Bergen and environs questions. However, they have virtually nothing about all of Norway. Yeah, I get that they are all about Bergen, but Bergen visitors also go other places on their Norway visit and would remember fondly a place that at least offered literature for the rest of the country. Just IMHO.

Great view - you can either hike up or get the cable car. There is a small restaurant at the top. The walk from the top to Floyen is about 15km and takes 5 hours if you are not an experienced mountain top walker. The first part of the trek is a bit confusing to follow as it is only signposted by small poles and you're going away from the end destination. Once you're along the ridge, it's easier to follow the tors. The terrain is quite rocky and lots of small ups and downs - you want waterproof, sturdy walking shoes and even then, it's not an easy walk. However, many locals will race past you and make the walk (or they might be running) look a breeze!

Incredible, panoramic views of the whole of Bergen can be experienced at the top of Ulriken. You can either hike to the top, or take a quick 5 minutes cable car that costs around €30 for a return trip. There is also a restaurant and cafe up there, and many walking paths to explore further.

We did a hike late March. We took a rather long one. It was amaaaaazing though kinda hard at some point. We may have lost the path so we just tried to go up. There was some snow (well, when you don't have the adequate gear, it can seem a lot) which made the hike harder than it should've been. Still, it was amazing and I would totally recommend going up mount Ulriken in the longest and hardest way possible ^^ it's more fun 😊

Absolutely amazing place. Can recommend hiking up to this mountain instead of using a cable-car, especially if the weather is nice. Even as fat person as me could climb to the mountain in 1.5 hours without any issues. The views are rewarding.

It’s a beautiful place there. You have a good view over Bergen. A one way ticket cost 20 nok. On the mountain is a lovely cafe/restaurant and restrooms. You have a free water refill. Everything is very clean so place take your waste with you and don’t throw it into the nature.

Excellent views of the city, and higher than the ones you get from the Fløyen, true, BUT, the fact that there are not many things to do nor places to visit once you're up there makes you have to focus on the views, which are excellent, yes, but... for how long? Also, the round trip with the funicular is not cheap at all, NOK365/per person, and it takes 5min each way (you can do it by foot via the stairs route or the hike).⁷

I was hiking to Ulriken from Blåmanen, yes I gotta admit it was a bit too much to go and took a lot of time and energy. But still I have no regret to hike here, it was beautiful and fun.

1400 stairs to the top. It is steep but worth the effort. It connects to a few other trails which can all be done in one day.

Cable car is very expensive, but driving in it is great experience. View from the top is awesome, and I am not sorry that I go up, climb, for 3 hours. I was exhausted, but content.

There's a very nice display of Grieg's life in the visitor center, as well as a coffee shop and toilets. His house is a short walk over a little bridge. The lovely concert hall on the grounds is a perfect venue to hear a piano concert of Grieg's music with beautiful scenery behind the pianist.

A super experience! I wasn't fully excited to make this stop, but even for someone who isn't into classical-era music or composition, this museum was well worth the stop. The museum portion of the grounds is very well done and takes you through a full timeline of the period and Grieg's life. They do tours through the house every half hour, and that was well worth the time to get to see inside the space he designed. The grounds are beautiful, and they do a great job with the audio tour explaining how nature inspired his work.

If you are a fan of music this is an exciting place to visit. Lovely home and location and seeing the composing cabin was incredible. It is about a 20 minute walk from the train. (The train is free with the Bergen card and you also get a discount at the museum with the card.

Beautifully preserved house and garden of Edward Grieg. The surrounding is gorgeous and you really get a feel on how Edward lived there and composed his music. Really enjoyed that part of the audio tour is not only information but followed by music from Grieg. It is however a small place. Don't expect to spend all afternoon here. Since it's quite a walk from public transport it's worth it on dry days or by car.

I do not know of a more charming place that evokes the life of a composer that "Troldhaugen." The memorabilia is wonderful within the modest home, but the sod-roofed concert hall is the true gem. Our visit was capping by a performance and commentary by a marvelous pianist.

Very nice museum with beach nearby. Nice view in bergen. Have to got down on Hop and walk 1.7km. Route was yellowish as it is autumn season. Very old wooden building with short opening hours. Be careful of the path when you travel in autumn as its slippery.

Well worth the half hour walk from the tram stop (Hop). We were fortunate to have a very knowledgeable guide all to ourselves. Have to admit we didn't do the museum.

If you enjoy music and history, this is a wonderful museum to go to. Here you can see the composer Edvard Grieg's home just as it was when he lived there, and learn about his life and career. Be sure to check the schedule for concerts at the museum so you can experience his music in the place he felt inspired by. The stunning concert venue overlooks his composer hut by the water.

I absolutely adore Edvard Grieg, and if in general you like some good piano music, this is the place for you. Walking in the windy and overbearing Bergen rain down to see Grieg’s composition hut is one of the most peaceful, serene, and fun experiences that I can possibly think about. Brilliant view from the concert hall as well, and a really nice museum exhibit with food and accommodations for guests. A MUST-VISIT in Bergen.

We had a really relaxing and interesting time here. The exhibition, the house tour and the outdoor audio guide where really great. The audio guide had many music pieces connect to the place and really connected us to the composer.

This was a very enjoyable trip. My husband liked this so much that this is his second visit. I have limited mobility so there were places that were to steep for me to go to, for example Greig's tiny get away cabin.

Edward Grieg’s home is well worth visiting. Great exhibit of artifacts, guided tour of the house and a fantastic view of the bay from the gardens. Self guided audio tour in several languages available as well as a fine coffee shop and toilets.

One of the best museum experiences I’ve ever had! It was idyllic to walk around in the garden and by the water. We loved listening to guiding through our phones at each sign, and endeavouring into Grieg’s music, pieces carefully selected, while enjoying the same view he had when writing it. It was so beautiful! At the end part of our group even shed tears due to being moved by the music and the scenery. I highly recommend!

You will rarely see a more beautifully presented monument to a famous person. Edvard and Nina Grieg's house is beautifully preserved. Entry to the house itself is only with a guide, and ours gave an excellent presentation with just the right amount of information without overwhelming with detail. The upstairs rooms remain off limits, as was Nina's wish, which seems appropriate. Grieg's composing hut is an astounding thing, and preserved inside are his piano, desk and furniture. The gardens, woodland and jetty are all lovely to explore, and Edvard and Nina's tomb in the rockface overlooking the fjord seems the perfect resting place. Finally, there is a beautiful concert hall built sympathetically into the landscape, with the composition hut as the focal point through the front window. We were treated to a note-perfect 30-minute recital of Grieg's works by a young music scholar. In summary, an outstanding visit that gave a wonderful insight into Norway's most famous composer and his no-less talented wife.

Nice place to visit when in Bergen. Although the city and surroundings offer plenty to see and do, if you are with kids, the aquarium is a nice place to visit. Not extremely big, it is nicely built and children will love the variety of animals and activities. Plenty of educational activities and even a cinema. For the adults there is a huge amount of information about the sea life of Norway, from the Fjords to the sea. Time well spent.

Much bigger than expected! I even got to see a brand new baby penguin. Fun stop, but definitely pricy for admission so make sure you've given yourself plenty of time to see it all.

Cute little aquarium. Saw the sea lion show. It was in Norwegian and English. A decent amount of exhibits with placards in both languages as well. There is a place to grab a bite to eat or ice cream. Restrooms throughout the place. Elevator for those who have trouble with stairs. Small gift shop. There is also an outdoor playground.

The place looks great and it has a decent variety of animals. It was a good experience, but nothing extraordinary. Ticket price was a bit..high, but it is understandable. Food prices at the cafeteria on the other hand...just eat somewhere else before visiting. But I was amazed quite a few times by the variety and some of the animals they have and per totally it was a good experience It's definitely worth to go if you are visiting Bergen, or even if you live there!

The Bergen Aquarium is a fun and educational place to visit. The outdoor area features penguins, otters, and sealions. Inside you will find lots of fish species from around the world. Descriptions are in norsk and english and you can learn a lot about the animals and thr eco systems they live in. Though the entry fee is nit cheap, you can spend hours and hours here without getting bored. Great for kids.

Such an amazing aquarium! Perfect for a nice day out. The animals are clearly well taken care of and the place is beautifully set up. There was plenty of information about the fish and animals but not enough where it felt overwhelming to read. A great place if you’re looking for something to in Bergen.

Amazing aquarium. Despite its small size, we can find different species and discover some amazing facts. The live shows are really great and the staff is amazingly funny. We got to see them feeding the penguins and I got to say, it was hilarious.

Mediocre at best. There was a very limited selection of sea animals. It lacked some basic species I had expected to see in Norway such as seals, polar bears, puffins, salmon, and other classic aquarium animals like dolphins and sharks. The movies are in Norwegian without subtitles in English or any other translation device. Fine way to spend an hour on a rainy afternoon, however.

I'm so happy I decided to go here! This aquarium is around a 30 minute walk from Bryggen, and has a variety of fish, birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and more. The first thing you're greeted with are the wonderful Gentoo penguins, we got lucky enough to see them sitting on eggs! They were also generally very playful. But yeah definitely come here if you like animals!

It's a very beautiful place. Its a bit expensive. 350 NOK i felt like it was a bit too much. The animals looked healthy and well taken care of ✨

I liked it, because there are some species I haven't seen before. It is very nice for the families with kids, because there are some tunnels with surprises for kids only and a nice playground outside. There is a cafeteria at the terrace where you can taste a very good ice cream, too.

The BEST FISH SOUP EVER!!! You have to go and try it creamy,tasty just perfect for a cold weather like in Bergen! Muscles also great! We really enjoyed our time there and our Food! Service great! Totally recommend! Was the best dinner overall in Norway! Thank you!

had dinner here both days of my stay in Bergen. tender reindeer steak (it was my first time trying reindeer so I've nothing to benchmark it against) but it was good with the sauce. I also had the wolfish, it was pretty good too! my friends had the (gigantic pot, 1kg of) mussels and (appetizer/starter) langoustine, they are definitely worth considering as well.

Ate here with some friends during the Bergen leg of our trip and could not be more thrilled with the experience. The whale and reindeer were superb and absolute must orders, the lamb and wolffish were delicious, and the beer selection was excellent as well. Absolutely no complaints with the meal but do note that they get crowded at peak times so a reservation would be beneficial.

A nice a cozy place for dinner. Didn’t manage to get a window seat but it was spacious and comfortable in the corner too. Waiter recommended us some of the signature dishes. We feel the fish soup was a bit disappointing because there was no “fish” in it, and the cod tasted bland too. The dessert (cakes and sorbet) was also too sweet for our liking but we thought maybe it’s the authentic local cuisine.

Wonderful lunch on a cold rainy day. Reservations are not a bad idea around lunch as they filled up rather quickly. Tried the Fish Soup based on other reviews and it was one of the best meals I've ever had! Really enjoyed our time in this 120 year old restaurant.

Delicious food, great service, lovely atmosphere. Our waitress was lovely and handled large groups of tourists very well (as observed during our meal). We have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place and really enjoyed our meal there. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Bergen for some great food!

The menu is really interesting, we got lamb, deer, reindeer and wolf fish. The lamb and reindeer were ordered medium well but the reindeer came overdone. The deer leg was very tender. The fish soup appetizer was good- tasted similar to a lobster bisque. The rhubarb sloe gin fizz was really tasty and a large drink. Overall, everyone enjoyed, but we would not seek it out to come back.

Terrific place to eat the local cuisine! Highly recommend it. If you come here, try either reindeer or whale (or both). I liked the reindeer fillet more, but that's a matter of taste, isn't it? You need to book a table here at least 1-2 days in advance. They can generally accommodate you if you have a later time reservation, but drop in before maybe 4pm. Dinner turned out to be a bit on the pricier side but quality was great.

Wonderful service, the food is absolutely delicious. It’s hard to describe this place other than you are made to feel at home, every aspect of the food is soul soothing. The fish stock being used in some of the dishes is the best I ever had. The deserts are absolutely amazing and delicious as well and the staff is filled with extremely friendly and kind people. We loved it.

Booked this place ahead of time as we read good reviews about it. Overall we had a good meal but there are actually better places in our opinion. The service was a bit slow and the waitress a bit abrupt. The toilets were clogged and no more paper. I had mussels for starters which were 10/10 really I admit. For main I tried the reindeer but wasn’t the biggest fan. 100£ for two with drinks.

I would have given five stars, but I saw the whale steak on the Malena that turned me down a bit. Food is very traditional- I was told by a Norwegian - and tasty. The place has the perfect location and views of Bergen harbor. This is the place I was directed to by a local Norwegian. Whale meat set aside, it is a fine establishment, worth a try.

We stopped by Pingvinen for lunch and ordered the whale steak, fish cake sandwich, and smoked halibut. All three dishes were delicious. The place wasn't too crowded during lunch and we had a pleasant meal.

Cute little authentic pub, a must-try for Norwegian specialties. Some dish may sound old-fashioned but everything we tried matched our expectations, although I wouldn’t call it fine cuisine. Limited amount of tables so would recommend to book in advance otherwise you may have to eat at the bar.

Great place for having some lunch/dinner and/or some beer. The food is very good, they have Norwegian dishes with very good prices. They also offer you a wide amount of beers. Moreover, the people is very nice :) This place is a MUST when you are in Bergen.

Stopped scrolling through countless Google Maps recommendations and chose this cute little pub. Hearty and delicious food. Pricier than fast food but so worth it. Go for the fish pie and artichoke soup.

We enjoyed a delicious meal while visiting Bergen here. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time, because this spot is popular! I deducted a star because we waited an hour for our food, and we were very hungry.

Been here in early July. We ordered the typical meatballs with vegetables and the whale with vegetables. Actually meatballs didn’t convinced me so much, whereas we were both surprisingly amazed by the meat whale.The vegetables were fine. The service was good. The bill was a bit high but we knew what we had to pay as the prices were shown clearly in the menu. It’s a typical Norwegian restaurant. I recommend it but actually not so much for the meatballs 😊

Popped in here following a recommendation to try some gastropub style food that didn't bankrupt us and was delighted at the range of ales. I had a refreshing DDH lervig loudspeaker and my wife had a nicely malty lager. Tried three small plates and enjoyed them all. Great little find

After not being able to accommodate our reservation the night prior because of an early kitchen closure, the restaurant made right by the situation the next night with a fantastic meal. Warm and friendly service, playful variations on traditional Norwegian classics and a great selection of local craft beers and wine. Highly recommend if you find yourself in Bergen!

Tasty food and beer, had the minkie whale and the meat balls and it tasted very good. Since the place is rather small you might face longer waiting times. Nevertheless the staff is friendly even under stress. The place was a recommendation from a local and is worth a revisit!

It’s a small place with reservations taken up quickly. We dropped by for an early dinner at 5pm (super off-peak). The shrimp salad is delightful. The fish was cooked well and the green purée (i think it’s broccoli) complement well. The bed of root vegetables the came under the pan seared fish was proportionally too much leaving me no stomach space for dessert 😅.

A place recommended by my host. I got to try Norwegian cuisine. I’m personally not a fan of Norwegian food so much, but food wise it’s fine and a nice pub!

What I liked the most? The boat trip from Bergen :) Food was not exquisite, we had the shellfish tower (which are raw and taste the same everywhere) the bread and soup for starters were tasty and the wine was fine. Service was nice and the environment romantic (we ate during sunset) Too expensive though.

A Mixed Experience at Cornelius Sjømatrestaurant My recent visit to Cornelius Sjømatrestaurant left me with mixed feelings. While I usually focus on the positives in my reviews, this one proved challenging. Let’s start with the positives. The service was undeniably friendly, and we received a warm welcome upon arrival. We were seated at a table by the window, which initially seemed great, but it was also close to the door, allowing chilly air to invade our dining experience. Surprisingly, even though the restaurant had plenty of available tables, we were not offered a better location, and we weren’t the only ones in this predicament. The evening began with a delay in receiving bread and butter, which were, admittedly, quite good. Unfortunately, this set the tone for the rest of the night. The five-course meal we had pre-ordered took an excruciatingly long time to arrive, and this became a recurring issue. While I’ve dined in numerous high-class restaurants, the food at Cornelius Sjømatrestaurant did not meet my expectations in terms of taste. The most frustrating aspect was the extended waiting times between courses. Each dish arrived at our table lukewarm, which was unacceptable considering the restaurant’s controlled environment where they know in advance what each guest has ordered. This led me to suspect that these delays were intentionally designed to encourage guests to purchase more wine or other beverages. Although I enjoyed the company and conversation with my loved one, the evening felt unbearably long. My happiest moment was when the ship arrived to take us back. Ultimately, this dining experience did not justify the high cost. While the concept of a boat trip to an island restaurant is fantastic, I recommend seeking a better dining option in Bergen. I’m torn in my rating. I’ll give three stars for the restaurant’s ambiance, interior, and the efforts of the service staff. Furthermore as it was my birthday we got a small birthday cake surprise- see pictures. However, due to the disappointing food taste, unbelievably long waiting times, and the high prices, I can only award one star for the overall dining experience.

Usually I try to keep my reviews positive and focus on good things whilst pointing out any negatives for people to expect and be aware of. Unfortunately I can't bring myself to give Cornelius more than 3 stars (and I am being generous at that) the food they offer even when presented well is bland. This is fine dining for people who are not familiar with fine dining - there is nothing wrong with that but if you are looking for a fine dining experience with some flare this is not it. What you will find is the exciting gimmick of getting on a boat to a private island with a pretty restaurant and views and mediocre food along with expensive alcohol choices. The best part of the meal was the bread - it was fantastic, after that each course was sub par and disappointing and if you want a dining experience go elsewhere (sister restaurant 1877 has an exquisite experience AND menu). There is no atmosphere and you will have to wait a while to return home again, by the end of the meal we felt like we were prisoners just waiting to be let out. There is no wine menu to be found, your server (who is unlikely to speak much English) will just "recommend" you a bottle and you won't know the price until the bill comes. The surroundings and building are both all very pretty. But we came here for fresh and exciting sea food - not the trip away from Bergen. If you are unfamiliar with fine dining you will enjoy this experience very much but you are not paying for the food you are paying for the location and transport - and there is nothing wrong with that. I just believe it should be advertised as such. We would happily have paid more for a better eating experience.

Beautiful location, educated and friendly young staff. The owner came to my table to introduce himself and was a real gentleman to me. Delicious food worth the money spent considering that the boat service to get there from Bergen Is included.

This place is incredible. Located on a private island and accessible only by boat, the chef takes excellent care of the fresh seafood and delivers some stellar meals. The owner is friendly and very good at distributing humor and good cheer. We started with a shellfish experience which put us in a private room with a great view and the head chef. He prepared fresh shellfish of every variety for raw tasters. Every taste was better than the previous one. The on to the dining room for a five course meal paired with the proper wine. Wonderful view, wonderful food, excellent new friends!

A wonderful experience from start to finish. Blessed with 3 days of pure sunshine in Bergen, this was our last night. The food was simple, fresh and healthy. The service was very good and stories from the charismatic owner topped it off brilliantly.

It was a wholly unique and wonderful experience! The food, the service, and the setting are first-class. A perfect place to experience Norway at its very best - with life, good food, and good wine pairings. I recommend adding the Raw Bar experience, it was fun and educational.

Sure, you have had many great meals over the years, but how many really stand out as unique? The 1/2 hour boat ride is a tour of the gorgeous fjords and islands, the food is fresh and inventive, the staff knowledgeable and welcoming. You won’t struggle to remember this place!!

The Cornelius is not about the food - which is nice - but the total experience. The courses are paced out. You have plenty of time to chat and have conversation. There is a wide wine selection. Service is friendly, professional and attentive. The plating is attractive. The food is nicely done. The building being on the water makes for nice views. The boat to and from adds to the total experience. You will remember this unique dinner adventure.

Fantastic dining experience in a beautiful location. Our full-course menu had eight perfectly executed dishes with unique flavors and lots of creativity. Fine dining at its best! No flashy ingredients, just high quality produce and seafood from the region. They should be high on the list for future Michelin stars. Highly recommended.

Exquisite experience - we had the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairings and would highly recommend it if you are in Bergen! The dishes were delicious and varied with great flavours and the wine pairings went really well with each dish. We were served by Henny and she was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable and able to answer any question we posed. Some dishes were bold and challenging and others light and uplifting and this lead to a very great dining experience. As with all tasting menus you won't enjoy every dish but what is imporant is appreciating what the chefs have created. The menu changes often and if we are ever to return to Bergen we would definitely return. This is a must do to any tourist who enjoys a fine dining experience, the atmosphere is great the service incredibly friendly and the surroundings are interesting. Make this part of your must do list! We also had the best scallops dish we've ever had - and we try a scallop dish whenever we are given the chance!

5 stars are not enough for this place. We got the 8 dishes menu with the wine pairing and it was more than worth it. Service was friendly and explained in detail all plates and wines. Wine pairing wad to the point. I highly recommend it.

One of the best meals we have ever had (and that is saying a lot). The five-course meal was inventive, delicious, and very pleasing to the eye (they also have an eight course meal!!!). The service was top-notch. We added a wine pairing to our courses and were not disappointed - except for the one and only red wine selection. Definitely a must in Bergen. Helpful Hint: Have dinner and then take an evening stroll along the water. Bergen is beautiful at night.

5/5 for service staff welcoming and friendly. 5/5 for food. Really fresh and they grill seafoods well that they keep the origin flavour without adding on too much oil. Mussels are fresh, too. 5/5 for ambience. Peaceful harbour and snow mountain view. 4/5 for value. Expensive but it’s normal when eating such a good qualify seafood here in Bergen.

Patronized this restaurant back in 2017 on a fjord cruise. Still an amazing restaurant. Very reasonable pricing for the offerings, there's a large selection of seafood to choose from. Opted for the fish soup and the shellfish symphony. Very enjoyable time and felt satisfied with everything.

Fantastic seafood and service. Quality was wonderful; it is not cheap if you want to taste good quality seafood, although there is also a good choice for other dishes. Great view, awesome personnel. Completely recommendable!

Location might make this place look a bit touristy but seriously, this place is awesome! Great view, super nice hostess and waiters, amazing food quality and reasonable prices. We had the fish soup and the red fish. Both excellent!!! What more can we ask for? Perfect!

This place is a lot better than the “Fish Me” restaurant next door. I came here very hungry on a rainy day not expecting much. The place next door told me they didn’t do take away after I waited for half an hour. So I came here. The food was quickly prepared and packed. The staffs were very nice to recommend me different options before I placed the order. They were thoughtful to have packed the food very well so I had no problem carrying on my way back to the hotel. Most importantly the food was so good! Enjoyed everything I ordered.

Nice place, nice waitress, amazing bread and butter, fish soup also super. We ordered a “large” sharing platter which I think for the price was a bit small…but everything tasted good. The reason for the 3 stars is the principle of a behavior that made me feel a bit “scammed”. I ordered a small salad but with only lettuce: no dressing, no topping no anything. They gave me the same price and the same amount of lettuce while I think (I have a restaurant) it would have been fair to give extra lettuce for the same price or give a small discount. That’s what I would have done. Small things do matter

Just right at the front of the harbour and besides the open market lies this glassed walled seafood restaurant. The views are spectacular as you’ll be able to see the nice coloured houses of Bergen. The ambience within is really nice as well. It’s always crowded. The seafood is fresh and there quite a good choice of crabs. King crab is their speciality. Lobster and prawns.

Fantastic seafood restaurant serving uber fresh local seafood. Service was fast & friendly, nothing too much trouble. Staff worked like a machine giving the sort great service you don't even notice you're getting. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 😋😊

The food was so great, salmon and beef fillet mignon spectacular, mussels could have been bigger but the flavour was really good. They accept us even if was late and the service was careful. The only thing that you've to know is about prices, they're hight, like 60€ for one portion of Salmon but the price worth the game.
