The most authentic place to experience the culture of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte. I love to get lost there, to try different foods, chat with the sellers, admire craftwork, buy spices, fruits, cheese and traditional delicacies.

I heard it is recommended to be careful of putting your phone in your back pocket but we had a great time. Many things to see and buy here, and great food. It’s better to bring a person who speaks Portuguese to help you navigate, but it can be fun even without. Keep an eye out for cash only signs, though most places take cards.

A place every tourist must go. They have all the local treats such as cheese, cachaca, hand made sweets, bars, snacks, arts and crafts and all that along with great customer service .

This is a great for tourist or foodie in Belo Horizonte. There is a massive selection of gourmet and specialty foods, fruits, vegetables and meats in this market. Also you sample several different types and flavors of caçhaca here. There are also restaurants in the market if you want to sit down and have lunch or dinner.

A must visit when in Belo Horizonte. Colorful, vivid, it’s a party to your senses.

Great place in BH to stroll, walk, sit and observe the historic buildings in the surroundings. The landscaping is beautiful and very well maintained. And for those who like exhibitions of art, history and knowledge, it is very worthwhile to visit these buildings that, in times of pandemic, follow the distancing rules, alcohol gel available, pressure measurement at the entrance and control of people's access through prior scheduling.

Well thought of access ramps make very easy to get in and out of the stadium. Seats are comfortable enough, although you hardly use it as local fans watch the game standing mostly. Big flags also block the view at times, but it is part of the local culture so that was OK. Good sandwiches and beer available inside. Great experience

Wonder place to visit in Belo Horizonte and in any city (main cities in Brazil have the Cultural Center of Banco do Brazil). Entry is free. Here there is an interior terrace shared by two cafes/ restaurants, with very nice ambiance; the prices are a bit too high, so it is not for the backpacker, but it is nice to have a different experience. The exhibits are usually well curated. Currently there are two, one of Antonio Poteiro, Brazilian popular artist and one of Man Ray, the famous photographer. Both very interesting and, again, with free entrance. Coming here gives you the opportunity to enjoy the Freedom square (Praça da Liberdade) where it is settled. Don’t miss the wavy building of Oscar Niemeyer, renown Brazilian modernist architect.

I've been here for two exhibits, and both were fantastic. Great location to access other tourist spots like Praca Liberdade and see some interesting architecture.

Most people working there was very nice and accommodating. I’m a beginner Portuguese speaker and when they see me struggling, they very kindly spoke slowly and helped me with what I needed. The exhibition was great and the interior of the building is stunning.

Expo of Mark Chagall was good in quality and quantity. Only the captures were all the same"lithography, from private collection", which I doubt. Clearly doesn't apply for every item, since I know some of thm. I liked the cheesecake in the patio cafe.

We always came here to see the expositions. Our daughter love them. And we must say that the fact it is free of charge (most of the time) is good not only because the obvious reason, but coz' it allows all people to have access to art, culture.

the museum is nicely curated and you can also visit some of the rooms upstairs, which are kept as they were while the building was a public office. There’s also a restaurant and cafe in the courtyard with a stylish interior.

Who doesn’t like view points !!! From this place we can visualize the city of Belo Horizonte and enjoy its view. We don’t need any tickets to purchase. It’s absolutely free. We cannot drive with car to this point; we need to park the car at the entrance and walk a bit. The sunset from this point will be stunning and worth the visit.

Amazing views of the city, a taste of exclusive lifestyle passing nearby manicured villas, and an exhilarating zipline jump, for about R$60 if you dare! The Mirante is free to the public, had public bathrooms, and nearby vendors selling snacks and drinks. A very hilly climb up from the Parque das Mangabeiras, so drive, or wear comfortable shoes.

GREAT SUNSET VIEWS!!! If you want to get the views of entire Belo Metropolis area while enjoying the stunning sunset, this is the place for you. The park is open from Dusk to Dawn. The gated location is easily accessible by Uber followed by a short walk to the viewing area. There is no entry fee for the park! The area is clean, safe and family friendly. However the only thing missing is there are no food stalls. So plan to bring drinking water and snacks to enjoy with the view! There are public restrooms but those are not too clean either. Overall a little inconvenient but the views definitely make up for it!

I was served by the best day manager at Xapuri. His name Diogo dos Santos. The lime desert was one of the best at the restaurant. Very friendly people and cozy place to have lunch with someone. I saw Edu ( cruzeiro's player) having lunch that day. Overall, very satisfy.

Just amazing. Food was so fresh and traditional. The ambiance was relaxing and welcoming, waiters were nice and there was a lovely musical group playing around the restaurant. Must go for a real taste of Brazilian food.

Absolute blunder of food quality. None of the items that we ordered were upto the mark except the Chicken Pakoda. Staff wasn't attentive to the customers and had been continuously out of the AC section for a long time keeping customers waiting. Tandoor starters are kind of disappointing here and not a different story with Chicken chilly and Chicken Schezwan fried rice that we tried.

food is good, servings are HUGE - so it's not expensive as it looks on the menu. half a chicken would serve 4 people. waiters were slow sometimes, but the place was packed. very friendly staff, cute store in the front, nice enviroment - a little bit hot as it's open. there are horses and a playground for kids.

Great restaurant. The food is amazing, a lot of beverages, drinks, bear, wine... A long diversity of food, the only downside of it is the huge menu, it's almost a book. Amazing ambient, 2 floors complete and one with kids space being build. I highly recommend this restaurant to happy hour with co-workers and to go out with your friends and family. The price is spicy but I'll worth it.

It was amazing experience, here to have a sophisticated dinner here Glouton. Their delicious dishes were based on French cuisine. Normally, as we know, French cuisine’s deciding factor is a sauce, but my feeling was all of their foods were made the most of the original taste of local ingredients. By the way, they have a kids menu that is beef and spaghetti. I, my wife and my son who is 8 years old enjoyed wonderful time.

A really excellent meal. Lots of different flavors from the region. The coffee and mignardises at the end really sealed the meal.

Romantic fine dining restaurant to try some Minas Gerais good with a modern twist. I had the testing menu and it is a good variety of different dishes. The service was very good and the restaurant decor is very nice also.

I love Mineira food and I love this place. Creative and tasty food. Make sure to get the octopus appetizer. It's got a cool vibe and is located on the strip of amazing restaurants in Lourdes. I go here all the time and am never disappointed. My only critique is that I have ordered a few dishes that I thought were a little too salty. But this is me being nitpicky. This is my go to place for taking friends when we want great food in BH!

Should have one Michelin star. Excellent service and a great food experience. The chefs table gives a great view into the art and handwork needed to create the 8 dishes plus some surprises trough the evening. Appreciate the local wine menu but would have loved a more international flight over the wine landscape - simply to better accompany the super food experience. Well done Belo and Leo

Great food but with very long waiting time! If you don’t like waiting, avoid going there on Sundays. All sorts of cuts, if you like beef you will enjoy the place. Drinks were also pretty good, I had just a regular caipirinha but nothing to complain about it!

We came for late lunch and we’re taken to our table where the waiter took our order for drinks and served us the complimentary bread. 2 minutes later, the manager (?) comes to advise us that they are closing at 3pm which gave us 10 minutes to eat and drink our full pints. Finally, we were “allowed” to stay until 3.20 pm and had enough time to order and eat the chicken wings which were… disgusting. Dripping with oil, not crispy at all - as pictured and the taste was horrible. Not coming back though our plan was to get the t-bones which are the most expensive cut they offer.

The only good thing is the server's attitude, i ordered a burger and some fries. The fries were ridiculously salty not to mention it came cold. The burger wasn't particularly hot but rather lukewarm and had a very odd taste.
