I can't get enough of this place. It is a heaven where some people lived their hell, but today's day its a full of history, stories, nature and local culture. It takes a short 6-7k hike to get here from Vila do Abraão and around 2 hours. It worth all efforts.

It's a beautiful place. I just wish we had more time to explore each island and not just stop in the middle of the water just to swim and move on to a different place!

Also tried file mignon with green pepper sauce - not bad but meat is definitely inferior to fish on the island. Sometimes it may take them long to serve, once it took them almost an hour to serve the main dish, but it seems common on the island, so we had all our dinners here. Restaurante Samburá was so amazing! They have a decent selection of Brazilian craft beers as well as cocktails and other drinks. We didn’t know what we were ordering so ordered way too much food. The moqueca would be sufficient for 2 people if that is all you are having. If you also order 2 sides then the mocqueca is way too much, however the mocqueca with fish and shrimp was so delicious that it didn’t really matter that we ate more food than two of us can handle.

Super tasty food!! I snuck a peak inside to the kitchen and Mario was super friendly and gave me a fist pump! He truly enjoys cooking for ppl!! And he runs the show! The service staff are super efficient and friendly :) Space is tight and cozy.

We dined here after recommendations on TripAdvisor. It did not disappoint. We went for the shared Pepper Steak and it was amazing. The portions are huge, the food delicious and the service fantastic. We can not recommend Dom Mario enough.
