Agrigento

The Sicilian city of Agrigento (Argirò in Sicilian), is a great place to visit any time of year, but especially between the months of March and September - where the weather is warm but not too hot. The city is noted for its rich Greek history, and tourists flock to visit the famed Valley of Temples, a UNESCO Heritage site consisting of seven well-preserved classical Greek temples. It is also well known for the ruins of the ancient Greek city Akragas, much of which is still being excavated today.
